We have used them repeatedly for mounting photos. They are the best in that business and offer valuable deals on multiple sizes. I checked their rates with similar businesses in our Durbanville area and their prices are substantially better, and quality is excellent. Their website is easy to upload and lead times very quick.
What a pleasure dealing with a company so responsive and efficient. City of Cape Town take note and follow their lead! Your methods of fines collection is antiquated and inefficient, yet you decline to acknowledge Fines SA as a reliable agent!
My review is of WebAfrica subsidiary MWeb ISP. If there was a choice of anything less than 1 star or preferably a minus rating, I would give it. Use MWeb ISP at your peril!! They purposely inhibit “customers” from contacting them. I waited 2 1/2 hours on the call centre line to get to No.3, then the line was cut, called in again to be at No.41 and start the wait all over. There is an email address to complain to but nothing happens. I cancelled my subscription on 1Jan 2025, but they refuse to “release” the line to Vumatel so a competitive ISP can take it over. It is now 10 Feb & they have not released the line so I have zero Internet & using my data/airtime instead. Home WiFi is useless without Internet & no pay TV channels (e.g. Netflix). I would like to explain the shoddy service to Management but cannot contact anyone. This is their modus operandi!! Do NOT waste your time with MWeb!!’
I recently had a windscreen claim which was dealt with very efficiently by Outsurance who referred me directly to Glasfit who responded as efficiently and I had a new windscreen within days of submitting my claim. No assessors to harass me or try to repudiate the claim as other insurers do.
Tyre Mart Durbanville recommended a set of Good Year Eagle F1 245/45R19 for my Kia Sportage in Dec 2022 & said I could get 50-60,000 kms if I rotate/balance/align every 10,000kms, which I have done 3 times with some intervals of only 5,000 & 8,000 kms. I have done 27,000 kms since fitting the new tyres & they now tell me my front tyres are “finished” & need replacing. All I got for reasons was a shrug of shoulders & when I asked to talk to a Good Year representative they said he/she would tell me the same. They then proceeded to “quote” me R19,000 for a set of new tyres. I have lived in Durbanville for 38 years & used them for all my vehicle tyres including my wife & 2 sons’ cars over the years when they were Supa Quick. Is this the best they can do? If so, shoddy treatment like that needs to be reported so others are not caught by the same bad service!! No excuse!!!
If I could rate them half a star, I would. A Jhbg vendor despatched a purchase to me using Ram. It’s delivery date was scheduled for 23 Dec. it arrived in Cape Town by road at 02:43 on 24 Dec. By today (29 Dec) it has not arrived & 4 calls to Jhbg (one can’t phone the CT depot which is 7.5kms from my house as all calls are diverted to Jhbg) have met with feeble excuses/lies about incorrect address etc. Promises made by staff to follow up & advise me have not been kept. I have to repeatedly call Jhbg only to find that no-one there has bothered to follow up with CT or CT staff do not return calls. Do NOT use them for any deliveries or use them bc at your peril. Totally useless!!!
We overnighted in Darling last Thursday on our way to a West Coast weekend away. The only restaurant open in the town was 1910 Old Forge in Langstraat, & did they take advantage of this fact, with zero alternatives. Corkage on own wine taken was R50/bottle. Their cheapest local wine (Darling Cellars/Cloof) was R350/bottle and their food prices exorbitant! On sitting down we asked for complimentary bread before ordering and were told by our waiter, Alex, “no bread until you have ordered food”! With no other restaurants open, and already 19:00, did he think we would consume the bread, then leave prior to eating a meal, like a bunch of students on a low budget heading to the nearest fast-food takeaway, of which there were also none! Despite the exorbitant food & wine prices, the food was excellent! Why they need to overcharge in a monopoly is a mystery!
A caution to all - do business with this CC at your peril. They have no business ethics. I got a telephonic quote to remove old lawn, level ground, apply compost, & lay new lawn 70m2. I asked twice if they wanted to come to the house to measure and check levels, both declined. I paid R6k in full as per their terms. On arrival the foreman measured and told me it was 95m2, and they would not remove a small mound of old soil/grass. As we couldn’t agree on how much more to pay, I suggested the office refund me and I’ll get someone else. I was then told I would forfeit 10% for “costs”. They refunded my money minus R604 the next day. What a nice way to make extra on every job! Decline to come to site to measure & quote, then arrive & tell the client they short-measured, argue vociferously, then leave and retain 10% of what was paid in full. The owner twice told me I had told them to “F… off my property”, which is total lies. Do NOT use them in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. You WILL be sorry!! Business morals & ethics are non-existent!!!
Cell C is the most imbecile company. I had a fibre contract with them (20/20) since 2018 at a cost of R940 pm. In Sept I mailed them to cancel my contract w.e.f. 16 Oct, the date we were vacating our house which had been sold. I gave them the contractual 20 business days notice and was told I would still be billed to end Oct because I needed to give 30 days notice. My reply was that my contract stated “notice at any time provided it was 20 business days” which was precisely calculated by me to cease on 16 Oct. I received a reply agreeing with me & acknowledging my termination date as 16 Oct. At end Oct I was billed for the full month despite my fibre being cut by Cell C on 16 Oct. I am now trying to get refunded my 16 days overcharge & am getting nowhere, They owe me +-R500 & I get zero response to mails, phone calls etc. what a rip-off. No wonder they are imploding as a company & are selling off their towers to MTN. This is robbery at its corporate worst. Do business with Cell C at your peril!!!!!
I needed a tow bar for my new vehicle and the dealers quoted me R10,600 and R10,020. Towbars CC quoted me R9780. I got a better one fitted at Fit-Rite in 4 hours at a cost of R4,980. Excellent service, half the cost, and a very neat decent job. I will recommend them any time. Well done Fit-Rite Brackenfell!!!
