This relates specifically to FNB short term insurance. Do yourself the biggest favour and take out insurance with anyone else except FNB. "We Are Completely Useless" should be their new slogan and in all honesty should just do away with this service or start from scratch. You may earn extra eBucks but is it worth the cost of the monthly outlay you'll spend and the huge excesses they add onto your policy? I feel that when you actually need the insurance you've been paying for, for months or years, it should be a fluid uncomplicated experience. Help when you need it. The work is done by them to assist YOU. After all, you've been keeping them employed. This is actually how it goes... It's a mission to get through to them on the phone and eventually you're just cut off. If you do get through to them you're made to jump through hoops with someone you can hardly hear on the other end only to be told you're claim is not going to be processed. Trying to reach them via the FNB app message portal is the same story. The message is clear... Leave you hanging on long enough, you and your claim will dissappear. If my car gets scratched and is fully covered, fix it! That is what I was paying for, is it not? The story is not over. They offer rim, tyre, scratch, dent and motor warranty cover for your vehicle. You'll find out that this is done through a third party. When you phone them to claim they'll tell you, you need to call the third party company who are just as useless. You assume, because YOU are paying FNB, that they would handle the claims on your behalf. Don't be silly! YOU must just give them your money and then don't bother them any further. Here's a kicker... Even if you have full comprehensive cover and by chance run out of fuel, they'll organise to bring you some to get you going again and then charge you for it. Most insurers will do this without any extra charges as part of your policy. Basic. FNB insurance is not your friend. They couldn't care less about you. They're a frustrating headache and if they didn't exist the world would be a better place. Once a top bank now operated like a government department. Go elsewhere. There are better companies and people out there.
Steer well clear of them. Excuse the pun. They sold us a V40 Volvo in April 2025 and what I believe, to their knowledge, knew full well that this vehicle had multiple faults that were not disclosed in order to make a sale. Not only that and what we picked up after the purchase, was this vehicle had been in a front end collision. The front bumper had been resprayed and perhaps even replaced. This had obviously led to none of the front parking sensors working. Closer inspection on the inside of the bumper revealed that wiring leading to the sensors was also not Volvo standard. Before driving away with the vehicle, I had asked 3 times for a diagnostics report. Only on the 3rd request were we told that they din't have the right machine to do the test. The previous 2 requests had led to an immediate change in subject. Strange, seeing as they are a Volvo dealership. The parking sensors not working then brought up a life threatening concern as to whether the air bags would've actually deployed had we been in a head on collision for some reason. We were told the vehicle had been recently serviced however the service message was still displaying on the dashboard along the with the windscreen washer fluid needing to replenished. We filled washer bottle, however the message remained. In total, I picked up 9 different faults on the vehicle after purchasing. Had the vehicle actually been serviced, these faults should've been corrected. The salesman, Rudi, along with dealer principal, were contacted and informed of the situation and the vehicle was returned. The dealer principal didn't even have the common courtesy to follow up or respond to my email of concerns. Should you decide to by a vehicle from this branch, I would have it fully tested by a 3rd party before completing your purchase. You have been warned.
Multiple cold calls on a daily basis. I have not signed up but was simply browsing around. Just this, seems to give them the right to continually harass me with yet again, the mind boggling stupidity of these businesses, believing that by harassing potential clients they'll sign up to our service. Very odd business strategy. I wouldn't sign up to Discovery Bank, because of this tactic, even if their accounts were free and never ever will. Thanks to Truecaller for disposing of this ******* and allowing me to get on with what counts in life rather than dealing with these useless idiots.
Yet another insurance company breaking the law. This number, 031 035 0810, is blocked. Your call centre agents are acting *******ly and continuing with the cold calling WILL lead to legal action. Because of the cold calling, I will never use or recommend any of your services nor **** on you if you were on fire. Now f off!
Vuka Insurance "calling on your behalf". Breaking the law by violating the POPI act. Sort your sh*t out.
Criminals. Plain and simple. Reported to Dept. of Justice. Good luck!
They thought it'd be cool to start throttling their customers at the beginning of Feb... I thought it'd be cool to dump their service and sign up to Vox. Cheerio!
Cold calling non stop... I have never verbally, telephonically or electronically contacted these people meaning they have illegally gained access to my information without my consent. Have now handed this over to the Information Regulator along with all call logs received for violating the POPI act brought into law on the 1st of July 2020. They do not adhere to the national OPT OUT database and are now operating outside of the law.

Axxess went from being one of the top rated ISP's in South Africa, winning numerous prestigious awards over the years to now being one of the most incompetent, unreliable and arrogant companies out there. Service is non existent, however to be fair there are a few who do their best and I truly feel sorry for them working for this sham of a company. You'll wait ages to get through to them on the phone. Getting through to a Telkom agent is faster. It just goes to show that if you wait that long to speak to someone, they are either short staffed or they are dealing with endless problems. Their technical support agents in general are not there to really help you once you finally get through to them and you get the feeling from their attitude that they either hate their job or hate you for calling them. If I didn't know any better I'd say Axxess has been taken over by the ANC and is being run into the ground like every other SOE. In the end I dumped all their services and left. Sign up as a client at your own peril... You have been warned!
