**Subject: No Feedback on Logged Repair – Fridge Still Faulty** HelloPeter Team, I am lodging a complaint regarding the poor service I have received from Makro and Defy. Makro and Defy previously came out to repair my fridge and replaced the motherboard. Unfortunately, after a few weeks the same issue occurred again. I contacted Makro Wonderboom on **29 January 2026** and spoke to **Jane**, requesting that they log another call with Defy. I provided my previous reference number as well as my Makro card number, and I was assured the matter would be attended to. To date, I have received **no feedback whatsoever**. I have also been trying repeatedly to call Jane at Makro Wonderboom for an update; however, my calls are being disconnected, which is extremely frustrating. The situation has now worsened — we woke up to find the fridge side warm and everything in the freezer defrosted, resulting in food spoilage and major inconvenience. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and urgency in resolving this matter. I request that Makro and Defy urgently: * Provide feedback on the logged call * Arrange a technician as a matter of urgency * Advise on compensation for spoiled food if applicable Please treat this as urgent. I purchased a Defy fridge (cash) from Makro Wonderboom last year. From the beginning, the fridge section never worked properly. Even in winter, food would not get properly cold despite the temperature being set to the highest level. I later realised this was a latent defect. In December, the fridge stopped cooling completely, while the freezer side still forms ice. I reported this to Makro, and they logged a call with Defy. A Defy technician came to inspect the fridge, after which I received no feedback from Makro, despite following up. Instead, I was later contacted by Defy and told they want to repair the fridge. This fridge is less than a year old, and under the Consumer Protection Act, I have the right to choose between a repair, replacement, or refund. I made it clear to Makro that I do not want a repair on a fridge that has been defective since purchase. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and accountability from Makro. I am being passed between Makro and Defy with no resolution, despite following the correct process. I am requesting a refund or replacement, as allowed by law, and proper customer service from Makro.
My Husband went to vleis 1 to buy the meat that is cut, when he got back I noticed that the meat seem very small than usual, but i did not check the meat I asked our helper to put in the deep freezer, on this other day i wanted to cook shortrib which i noticed is not there , I called my husband and asked if he did tell them to cut it he said yes, I called vleis 1 , they told me that sometimes the people that cut make a mistake, the other time they said I need to bring the slip , i told them i do not have , please check my copy since I swiped the card number should tell, i asked them about there cameras and so forth, they dismissed me when i told them they should check the record of that particular day. there meat is nice but they do not have good customer service. They last time I spoke them the lady was very dismissing and today I spoke to the lady who said she will call me back , but I have been back and forth with this people already i am tired, they do not want to even try to prove or find out what happend on that day, I do not care even if they do not give me the meat but atlest tell me what happend
My son had the yoghurt on Saturday afternoon, around 6 or 7 pm that day, he started saying his stomach is painfull, he then started vomiting, he vomited for like 4 hours or more, we rushed him to casualty around 11 as he was dizzy as well. they gave him meds some prescribed and said he is dehydrated. The whole of Sunday he was not himself , he could not seat up straight, refusing to eat as well. Monday he was doing the same thing and would touch his stomach from time to time. I decided to do allbrain flakes and use the yoghurt, i picked that the cover looks funny , when I opened it made a sound that sounded like opening a cold drink. I then remembered that my son had the yoghurt on Saturday ,because he was not eating and still saying the stomach is painful . I took him to the doctor and explained everything, he gave him antibiotics and confirmed that it could be the reaction from the yoghurt. attached is the letter from him. I then passed at Woolworths nearby having the yoghurt, when I first asked the security she told me where the rest of the yoghurt was and I did not like the tone of the way she spoke to me. she then said i should go to the food market and look for the manager, I did that. I found too many ladies standing (who work for Woolies) . I asked them if I was looking for the manager. They said the manager is not around and how can they help me. I explained ,one of them let me call her for you. the manager that i was told she was not around. The manager came, I explained she said where are the rest of the yoghurt and the slip, I asked her if she does not see that this is woolworths product, and i am with my son who is sick because of it all they care about is the slip and the rest of the yoghurt. I told them they were in the car. which I went to and gave them to the Quagga center. We had bought 12 of them, some of which we had , he did not eat that buch he started on Saturday. I am assuming we did not react as we are old. Its very sad that one comes with serious issues and people think you are a clown, I then was given a refund for the 6 yoghurt and asked to get a doctor's report. I hope this is enough information as it is painful to watch your child experiencing pain , and pain pain that could have been avoided. woolworths came back to us after we had send them all the documentation and the drs report that they did not mention to us what kind of report they need after i asked them that they need blood results,they said they will not cover the medical expense as the cause could be anything, we were told by Akhona to go and seek legal help. they gave us R200 voucher which to date i haven't received it Regards,
There service is very horrible, after you claim online they do not even respond, they dont say anything. when you call them they never answer there phone. they even charge me way too much for the phone, I had payed my access no one is saying anything till today. trash,trash,trash!!!!!!!!!!!
I had insured my phone with Telkom, and I recently lost my phone I called them and wanted to put the claim I was told that I need to open the case which I did ,and they told me I need to fill the claim form online which I did and after doing so you can not even get a confirmation email to say they say have received the claim you can not even track the claim. I tried calling with no response, it has been 3 days already since I claimed and I did not receive anything to show they have received my claim and they looking at it.
I have called cartrack to cancel my my contract with them as i am selling my car, they are telling me that my contract expires next year June there for they are going to continue debting or i can cancel and pay the full amount of the actual remaining months, what kind of sick joke is this? so they want me to pay for something that i am not even using?
I have purchased couches last year around november, recently i noticed that the color is fading away and also some parts has teared off, we compliled via a sales person and yesterday they come to collect particular once only to find out that the othe parts tired off also we could not see because it was under. we requested to change the color as we noticed that tha color is fading away we were told they do not exchange if it was after 7 days, there was no way we could see the color is fading in 7days.
I have bought the phone at Ackerman's Birch Acres Mall in Tembisa on the 05/05/2021, recently i have been experiencing issues with it, it does not switch of completely after i switch it off, i have went to the store i was told that there is nothing they can do as it has already passed 30days.please never ever buy a phone in any Ackerman's store.
