What a disappointment!!! I order regularly from Takealot and placed my order IN TIME. Only to hear that delivery will be much later than stipulated when I placed the order. I also regularly order from Shein and Temu - which only take a week. No wonder Takealot is unhappy with the competition: their service is lacking. And these are items from our own country. Shape up or close down!

TERRIBLE customer service. WhatsApp chat non existent. I've been waiting 1.5 hours for a reply from an agent. Been on the line for almost half an hour, once you select "1", they simply end the call. WORST COURIERS EVER.
Utterly frustrating and unprofessional. Second faulty laptop we buy from Evetech Solutions. The first laptop took 39 days for Evetech to assess and repair before we got notice to arrange for a courier to collect. Same problem again. Evetech takes no responsibility for sales and blames everything on their authorized supplier. Waiting process is extremely long and painful. Good luck if you insist on a refund! NEVER, EVER AGAIN.

Good service in South Africa is non existent these days, EXCEPT for Gert at Herotel's call centre. Thank you for fantastic service, calling back to make sure everything is working fine and following up. Best service ever. Thank you Gert. You are an enormous asset to Herotel's team.

Dealing with Computer Mania Worcester was not only exhausting, it was dreadful and appalling. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to call them, I was informed that their number was listed wrong on Google. I eventually got the correct contact number for their store in Mountain Mill Mall. The sales person asked me to send a photo of the replacement battery I needed to their WatsApp store number, which I did straight away. Only to receive an automated response. The next day I tried to follow up but apparently the store decided not to answer their phones on that day. I sent another WhatsApp on which I received a reply that they were still waiting for the supplier and will call me back. Five days later, I followed up again. This time I was lucky enough to get a quote of R1399.00. I asked to have the battery ordered. Six days later I followed up again, without any reply to this day. I followed up AGAIN four days later, no reply....... After numerous phone calls after which I'm simply told that they will call me back, I STILL don't have a battery. I called the store yesterday and was told that the employee has resigned, so I take it all employees working there from 17 January until yesterday have been replaced at this store, since not a single soul knows about my batter - ALTHOUGH THEY ARE ONLINE ON WHATSAPP. I was just told that I have to make payment for the battery before it can be ordered. This I understand. Problem is that the price has increased with R200 since I last got the price AND asked for this battery to be ordered straight away. Still no battery. Clearly my expectations were not met. This spells bad news for their brand. Computer Mania need to train their staff. Problem: The business doesn’t seem to feel bad for the upset customer. Correspondence and empty promises to get back to customers: Problem: The company is difficult for customers to reach and couldn't even care to call back. The so-called WhatsApp line is useless. Problem: This is hurting more than helping. Time wasting is appalling. Problem: Your wait times are ridiculously long and it seems that the customer has to follow up on their end, since no staff will. Awful, awful service to say the least. Dealing with Computer Mania only leaves a very bad taste in the mouth and I will in future drive to Cape Town instead. Only to save myself from experiencing this bad service ever again.

King Price refuses to STOP harassing me with constant marketing SMS’s!! I have replied “No” several times to opt out of something I never even subscribed to. Every SMS cost me money. WHY are they still harassing me??? I have sent emails, I have sent a message to their Facebook page and tried to get hold of Gideon Galloway and/or Yolandi De Goede, but with no luck - wait for this: since the employees do not even know their own head office number. Where did they get my cell phone number? Who gave them permission to constantly harass me this way?
