The head of my 4 year old vacuum cleaner broke which is normal wear and tear. Since it's old I couldn't find it in the shops around me in Pretoria. I emailed customer support with a photo of the part. Withing 30 minutes they emailed me back with a very reasonable price of R120 and offered shipping for R40. I picked it up at the warehouse in Midrand which took 5 minutes. Great after sales service and they don't rip their customers off with part prices.
I've been a member at the Castle Gate branch for a few years and it's just going from bad to worse. Things that break (mostly treadmills) take months to get fixed. The main turnstile has been broken for more than a year causing delays when it's busy. This morning the sauna was off because they forgot to turn it on. Only the third shower I tried had soap. Several soap dispensers at the basins were empty. That's just to name a few issues. Reported everything to reception and got blank stares.
I am a premium subscriber and I pay for an extra stream but I'm unable to use it. I can stream on my laptop but when I try to stream on my phone I get the message "Streaming limit reached". This used to work but when IU was on holiday on 21 September it stopped working. I spent hours on the phone but no solution was given so I missed the Curry Cup final and the Springboks game. It's now more than a week later and I still don't have a solution. The reference number is 41919542-I570 The manager who couldn't help me and broke promises of getting back to me is Celene Jantjies.
A tree fell on my fibre line at 10:30am. I phoned Telkom to log a fault which took 4 minutes. By 13:35 the technician left my house and my line was fixed. Fantastic service.

Please don't waste your money with this company. Any issues with the product (battery + inverter in my case) you are din customer service hell. No accountability, bad to no communication and blaming suppliers for issues. Three weeks plus turnaround time if you have a problem and to ETAs given throughout the process.
I had a very good service experience with them for a 75000k service on a Ranger. No upselling and no issues.
Please don’t waste your money. The order never comes.
Watch out when buying from Takealot. I bought a Casals leaf blower from them which is guaranteed for 2 years. It broke after 10 months but they won't take it back because they only offer a 6 month limited warranty. I was told that I have to approach the manufacturer myself.
