Exelent, friendly helpful service received from Charmain Khoza, went out of her way to help me
On our anniversary we had burgers and chips for lunch at the HRC Camps Bay - its sort of tradition to have something at the HRC on our anniversary as for our 21st, when we enter the HRC Barcelona they played our theme song of our wedding. HOWEVER, when entering the HRC in Camps Bay the music was so hard and only "Doef-Doef-Doef" the whole time. I joke with the waiter and say the cd got stuck. Then they change it to some sort of **** that is surely NOT Acceptable for any audience. Luckily there was no kids in the restaurant. the songs words were something like "**** your mother, **** your sister, **** your brother.....on and on" I got up and demand to speak to the Manager. I told him this is an INTERNATIONAL Franchise, people expect some level of international standards, and the music is extremely offensive and a disgrace. Luckily our grandchildren were not with us. Now we can understand why there was only 3 other people in the restaurant. The Manager came back and said we don't' have to pay for our drinks (2 beers) It's not about the beers we can pay for our own drinks. it's about the BAD taste and Memories we were left with. We will definitely tell all our friends not to visit HRC Camps Bay
Pay to use the toilet at International arrivals and departure :( We recently traveled via International flight from OR Thambo, while visiting the ladies bathroom I was asked for money when leaving the bathroom by the cleaner. On arrival back at International the same story, I was not asked but the tourist in front of me was asked for a donation in her currency. Are the cleaners not getting a fixed salary that they have to ask for a donation or payment? It's very unprofessional as Not in any other airport we visited we were asked to pay the cleaner!!! It reflects again bad on our country :(

The Spur Newcastle Blackrock Mall have got the most horrible coffee ever Sunday was the 2nd time reporting it. 2 Weeks back we reported also that the coffee was burned and tasted very bad. Sunday was the same thing, it tasted like the previous day's left over coffee that was heated up and given to us with breakfast. It just don't help complaining about it, nothing has been done to improve it at all
On the 10th Oct'23 between ± 11:00 I was standing at the till in front of the kiosk While I was bed over my trolley trying to lift out the box of milk (with my bum in the air) a (black) man pushed onto my backside to push thru to go to the kiosk (NO Sorry or excuse me or even MOVE would have make me stand aside) then he went standing talking to the other black men (all Checkers employees) as he pushed me into my trolley I had a packed of serviettes in my hand and hit him on the back with it, (I wish it was a spade) I said loud "a EXCUSE ME" he just turn around look at me and went on with his laughing and talking to the other guys. The bleddy cherry on the cake is that he didn't had to push thru by me as the tills left and right of me was empty. The teller and packer only pulled their eyes upwards and carry on with my groceries. I want to know - if this was a black lady being pushed on her backside by a white male it would have been a racial ***ual harassments case in the newspaper. Your staff is uneducated and very rude with no manners! Another thing why are staff aloud to stand behind a till sniffing snot and expect us customers to just smile and wave, didn't they being educated about etiquette?
Last week when entering the Newcastle Mall shop it sounded as if you walk into a "shabeen" No one greets you or offer to help you. I rather go to the CBD stor as all of them working there is friendly and the store is pleasant.
We had an awesome dinner with friends at the Sale e Pepe restaurant in Newcastle Thanx Raymond and staff your service was excellent.
