I am lodging a formal complaint against Telkom Mobile Insurance regarding an unreasonably high excess fee charged on a lost cellphone claim. I have been paying my mobile insurance premiums consistently since the inception of the policy and this is my first-ever claim. To my shock, I was informed that the excess fee payable is almost equivalent to the cost of purchasing a brand-new phone. This completely defeats the purpose of having insurance in the first place. An insurance product is meant to provide financial relief in the event of loss. In this case, Telkom’s insurance offering provides no meaningful benefit and instead places an unfair and disproportionate financial burden on the customer. At no point was it clearly communicated that a first claim would attract such a punitive excess fee. I believe this practice is unreasonable, misleading, and poor value for money. Loyal customers who have never claimed should not be penalised in this manner. I have requested a review and reduction of the excess fee, but I am yet to receive a satisfactory resolution. I am sharing this experience to warn other consumers and to urge Telkom Mobile Insurance to reconsider its excess fee structure and address this matter fairly and transparently. I expect Telkom to engage constructively and resolve this issue without further escalation.

if it was possible,i'd give it no star at all. The update i received on the 5th August 2025 at 23h00 said the parcel is in transit to Polokwane on the 6th of August at 12pm i receive a message that says my parcel is lost. I need to be refunded my custom fees. In future if i order anything and it says buffalo customs i am cancelling my order. Buffalo is ****ty
I waited for my parcel for a whole week. When i called the depot i was told the parcel is at the depot and i arranged for collection, when i got at the depot in polokwane i was told that the parcel is with the driver. I will never buy from any company that uses fastway as their clurier company.
I booked on Thursday night on the 4th of February 2021 and they deduct cash and last night on the 7th of February 2021 they deducted the same amount again. I am so dissapointed
This company is a total rip off. I bought electricity for R100 and only got 19.8 units. You guys are ridiculously expensive.
I bought furniture at fair price, on the day i went to collect i had 3 slips, the person at dispatch dispatched goods that we did not receive, my brother in law went to collect the rest of the stuff and was told he already collected, i went there only to be told by the warehouse manager that i am lying and he won't give me the goods. I am hurt cause i had to cut down on a lot of things to afford that furniture to make a home for myself.
