Do Not attempt to do business with this "company". Jandri Mulder is very willing to take your payment for her "services", but then disappears. My retired Dad tried to make use of her "services". He paid the money, but then she just ghosted him. After leaving it almost too late, we made enquiries ourselves, and it turns out she at least Registered my Dad on the UIF site. But, she did so on the Old site... (So, no point to that.) And then she abandoned the process. Remember, she is not only costing you the fee for her "services". She is also potentially causing you to loose out on your UIF funds. (There is a time limit on how long after retirement you can claim it. Eight months, I believe.) I hope you read this posting before engaging this "company", and do it yourself (it is Not that hard), or end up at a competent person. HR Labour Management will only mess with your chances of getting your UIF money.
Great price on the item I was looking for. Reasonable delivery fees. Super Fast processing and delivery. Very happy with my purchase. Based on this one order, I can firmly recommend this business.
I am very happy after my first Falke SA site purchase. Great selection, OK prices. They deliver for free over R500. And delivery time is reasonable. When I got my socks, it was in a little Falke "gift box". With a sleeve that you pull off to reveal your socks. With a little message inside... Made the unboxing a bit special... Will definitely be back in future.
I love PC Link Computers. I've ordered from them Several times now, and they deliver every time. Well, almost every time... Look, they are not perfect. Their communications Can be better. And I am sure they can do more to allay the fears of many people who cite them on this platform. But, I am a simple man: Show me a price that are better than All E-Tailers in SA (even my beloved Loot and TA), and you have a sale Mr. Personally, I think the ire they attract in SA are due to their import side. (Which is technically PC Link Shop... Not even the "Computers" part.) I also personally think that is why TA and Raru stopped doing the import thing: Too many factors that are completely out of their control... That leads to a bad reputation for them. (They would probably not like me saying this, but:) Honestly people, if you want something from the US, order from it Uncle Jeff directly. And if Amazon.com does not have something, you are just not destined to own it... Seriously, given the prices I've seen on PC Link Computers (coupled with their very reasonable R69 Gauteng delivery price), I will go back to them time-and-again. Check what IT you still want, check the SA prices, then Google for PC Link Computers, and buy it from them for cheaper than most guys will be able to offer it for. Then sit back, and wait for the courier to bring you your new toys.
A opportunity came up recently for me to satisfy one of my life ambitions. See, the open yard next to my parent's house came on the market. So, I Googled what I will need, printed it, and went to my local branch of Standard Bank. (With whom I've been banking since I was 6...) So I walk in, and this apparently disinterested employee calls me over for a consult. I know nothing about the process, and were hoping that "my bank" might be able to help out. My experience was that she either does not know anything about the process, or she takes glee from telling me that they will not help me. So, somewhat (and apparently) annoyed, I leave them, and head over to Nedbank. Where I at least find a lady that is willing to talk to me. She fills me in on a bunch of stuff, and gives me Nedbank forms. However, Nedbank wants to finance the land along with a building package. So, also not what I wanted... (At least she spoke to me like a human...) So, eventually, I follow up on "my" excellent Seeff agent's advice, and speak to Ooba. In A Day's Time, Elaine mails me back with two offers from two different banks. And, the next day, she sends me the third bank's offer that are willing to help me out. ALONG with a revised offer from Standard Bank for a lower rate! Honestly people, do not let the uninspired rank-and-file at Banks discourage you from realizing your dreams. (And also do not subject yourself to that...) Simply contact Ooba, and a enthusiastic, motivated, and helpful Ooba agent will call you back, and start working towards getting you on your way to owning property.
I have been trying to contact Vodacom for several days now to cancel my Data Contract since I CANNOT afford their expensive data anymore. After several phone calls, and listening to several minutes of their wait-tone, I get to the point where someone picks up, then they just put down the phone again! So frustrating. And, when I finally did get to speak to someone, while I was explaining my issue, they just hang up on me! Terrible! How on earth did they become such a big company? I am now considering just cancelling all my Vodacom services and taking my business to a better-run company.
The whole month I am looking at my airtime balance and wonder if I AM making this many calls...? Well, I Did buy that Data Bundle... But could it have been This much? Today, I actually Look at it, and discover to my utter annoyance I have lost most of my airtime that I had amassed over quite some time. So I go on my Vodacom profile on their site. (Something that I do not do nearly enough. The app is great, but the site allows certain things that is just not possible on the app.) Here I see I have VLive content activated for Videos AND Music... At R5 per day each... So, I have been hemorrhaging R10 a day on stuff that I did not want, I do not use, and will Not use... So, I phone 082 111. I do my best to convey my dismay with my tone of voice (not using any of the deserved profanities that would be suitable...). Luckily, I find a sympathetic, and patient, ear in Mntomby (I might be spelling that incorrectly). She tells me she will escalate the matter to her superior, and request that he bars my number from all future subscriptions. And, in response to my rather pointed inquiry about the possibility of a refund, she tells me give her three minutes... She was true to her word, and my balance was back to normal. So, I am still annoyed at the fact that apparently VAS can just be activated like that. And that this then starts charging you. (And I am not alone in this... Shame, I always wonder how many non-tech-savvy people are being FLEECED by these ironically named "services".) Hence the Four stars. BUT, I am impressed by how quickly the matter was resolved to my utter satisfaction. Full marks to Mntomby though (sorry...), and Vodacom.
I see A Lot of negative reviews about WIA on here. And I thought I just want to share My experience with them recently. First-off, to be fair, I have only ever ordered "from" them via Makro a few years ago (it was weird: at checkout I was taken to a WIA interface to complete the transaction...). And I received my items in good time and order. BUT, recently, a friend who is a girl sent me a posting about a 3Tb 2.5" HDD they have on their site for ~R725. I got carried away in the excitement of the insane find, and, stupidly, allowed myself to believe this is possible. So, I placed an order for two quickly, and went through the process of paying for the items. Only upon completion of the process I actually LOOK at the posting, and notice it ends with "..., case". Oh ****... I just paid WAY too much for an 2.5" enclosure... So, I fire of an e-mail to them stating that I was a prat, and please, refund me monies? A short while later a lady, Nyanda, phones me: I Do realize I am only buying an enclosure, right? At this point I confess my stupidity, she says no worries, and she reverses the transaction. Within two days I had me money back. So, yeah, like many import-based stores, the listings can be misleading. And one has to kinda read between the lines... And often allow Much More time for delivery than one would expect from, I.E.: TA. But, I must say, I was impressed. By their foresight on the matter, and the quickness of their response. Now, if only the R/$ was not completely shot, I might have considered actually Buying from them...
Last week I followed through on a belated project to update my ageing APC UPS battery (How boring...). So, I Googled for the RBC32 in South Africa. One of the hits that came up was for TechStop. Now, I was a bit dubious about ordering from them (given the Sybaritic-TechStop link), but I never had any telling trouble with Sybaritic when they were still trading, so I decided to give them a try.

I am happy to report that TechStop seems to have redressed some of the complaints that have been posted on this very site in their most recent incarnation. The process I followed was very familiar, and the payment options were satisfactory. The updating as to where and when of my package was impeccable. And, five days later (including the weekend) I had my hefty RBC32 APC Replacement Battery Cartridge in my possession for a reasonable delivery fee (to my door).

If one of the many, many items TechStop have on their catalogue draws your eye, give them a try! I know I will in future...
I recently ordered a product from Hirsch online. It turns out that the page I ordered from was outdated and they did not actually have stock of the product. However, instead of sending me a glib mail about how they are sorry, and how would I like my money paid back?, they acquired stock of a similar player, and then offered me a good deal on the device to boot. Then, on the morning of pick-up, I cannot access my inbox to retrieve the quote number. Downtime for maintenance... So, the situation now became one of them helping me prove I am who I say I am. Which, understandably, caused some raised eyebrows, but was ultimately, and speedily, handled with aplomb by their manager. What struck me about this entire process is that they were willing to suffer a loss to give an semi-anonymous person performing a online transaction the benefit of a good deal to smooth over the slight faux pass of having a site up that notes a product \In Stock"while it is not. And then going to More trouble to help a slightly scatterbrained customer to do what really was the responsibility of said customer. To me"
