Top class from Husain Fragrance. I’ve done multiple orders with them and their overall service and the entire experience has been quality, every single time. I live up on the Western Cape West Coast and ordering from Husain, I would generally get my shipping info a few hours after the order and receive my order 3-4 days depending on the time and day I placed the order.
Purchased a brand new TV via LG Electronic online. The panel was faulty directly and the next day I logged a return. More than 36 hours later I have not heard a single thing. I have called numerous times and the calls just get cut. The Whatsapp agents are also pretty useless and either take literal ages to respond or sometimes don't even bother to respond to you at all. DO NOT BUY LG - And if you really want an LG product, for the love of your own sanity, DO NOT BUY IT FROM LG. Use a 3rd party reseller so that you can easily send the product back and get your money back.
I have changed my original rating on my original review but I also want to add an additional review. I had some issues with a Lenovo laptop recently purchased incorrectly assumed the worst having 20+ years in the IT Space in South Africa. I am happy to report that Lenovo South Africa has gone above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. Thank you Jan, and the team behind you for treating me with respect, listening to my issue and going miles out of your way to try and help me.
I've recently purchased 2 x Lenovo Legion Pro 5's with identical specifications . One was purchased in June 2024 and the other towards the end of August 2024. Having only recently started using the new one, both my wife and I started playing No Man's Sky this weekend on the two respective laptops. On her machine (the new one) No Man's Sky keeps crashing. We also had a crash while playing Age of Mythology however we thought that was isolated and haven't really played much. We have looked through event viewer and checked for solutions online. We have completely uninstalled drivers, re-installed (clean install), ran DISM and SFC on the laptop, used Display Driver Uninstaller (in safe mode), etc. We eventually reset Windows, re-updated the laptop and software, re-downloaded and installed Steam + games and the issue still remains. The first laptop purchased in June hasn't crashed at all. Due to the amount of money spent on these 2 machines, I am incredibly disappointed to be experiencing these issues. As we've barely had this laptop for 2 weeks, we got the update to collect on 23 August 2024. I had courier guy pick up which happened on the 26th and this was delivered on the 28th August. My wife hasn't used or setup the machine for work at all and we only really tried playing games on it and use it this past weekend. Even from the 23rd till today is a little over 2 weeks. After exhausting all our troubleshooting options I now have to send the laptop back for "testing". This is now scheduled to be collected on the 11th September. It will arrive back at the vendor between the 13th or 16th September. They will test it and we'll see what they have to say. My gut says they won't do anything and I'm sitting with a 35k paper weight. Even if it does get replaced, shipped back. I will be lucky to have it back by October. Absolutely ridiculous. I won't ever recommend Lenovo again.
Made a purchase for an item that showed in stock with an estimated delivery date approximately 3-4 business days which is perfectly acceptable. Logged in today to see if there has been movement on the item and the item expected delivery shifted by 2 weeks. No update was given to me. If I didn’t log in to check, I wouldn’t have known at all. Logged a query with takealot regarding it only to get an absolute BS and patronising response.
This entire organization is inept, take your money, credit cards, debt, anything you have with Standard Bank to another bank entirely. We've been waiting almost 2 years for my father-in-law's late estate to be sorted out with Standard Bank. Other than the poor overall service from Standard Bank's late estates division, Standard Bank then goes and blatantly steals money from the account. My father-in-law had an outstanding amount on his credit card for which he paid insurance on with a death benefit and instead of honoring the insurance, Standard Bank goes and steals the money owing from the late estate funds. Even after pointing out the insurance and them admitting it. The estate has still not been refunded the stolen amount. 7 Months has passed since we notified them of their own incompetency and the estate still hasn't been credit the amount that was stolen.
Even though this company might sell decent products, their after sales service is shocking at best. I initially purchased my Lithium444 back in June 2020 and I was happy with the product. The device recently stopped working and all attempts I made to contact them to find out about a possible repair came to naught. 3 emails, multiple phone calls. Nothing. Eventually I tried the chat feature on the website and someone took my details. About a week after that someone called me and gave me some poor instructions on how, where and to whom to send it back. At this point I lost all faith in this business. I would urge the public to not purchase from this company purely based on non-existent after sales service and a general and complete disregard to emails and phone calls. Even when they had my details it took a week to contact me. Thank goodness I never sent it back as I’m confident beyond a doubt the same service would have endured.
We signed up for the new Kwika merchant services device. Vodacom declined our application yet still took money from us. Steer clear of these thieves who clearly have no idea what they are doing. Use Yoco!
If I can implore the public, do not use Standard Bank for late estates. They take a death in the family and make it even worse. This is absolutely ghastly.
Ordered new fibre with Afrihost. Chose option to have the router pre-configured. Installation and delivery was lighting fast but that’s when the issues started. Router was unconfiqured even though a printout was received with the requested configured details. After the tech from Linklayer was out he said we need to contact Afrihost to activate. Tech said we need to wait for LOS light to come on and would take a few hours. 6 hours later making contact again the new Tech said no the LOS light needs to be off! Back and forth for 2 days now first needing a Lan port on the laptop that doesn’t have. Then we need it, then we don’t. Afrihost says it’s Linklayer, Linklayer says it’s Afrihost. Attempting to make contact with a manager has failed. Still stuck, no service.
