I was with customers visiting one of the customers mother in hospital. I popped down to pick N Pay Observatory as I hadn't eaten since 9am. I would like to thank the Observatory branch for a very tasty delicious beef lasagne. 10/10.
I went to KFC Gardens for a small snack, and I asked for some sprinkle pops. This was fine, and then I asked for a diet coke. Three times I had to explain to the lady there what I wanted. She had no clue what diet coke was. KFC South Africa, please train your staff properly so that they know what diet coke is. I was about to walk out out of being angry and fed up. Come on, get with the program!!
I went to the Huawei repair shop at Canal walk and called through to get a quote on what I needed. I got there, and was served by a lady behind the counter. I was quoted R500 for a USB, cable for my Huawei phone. When I got there, the lady started chatting about that my port on my phone was damaged and needed to be replaced. Then a while later it turns out this wasn't the case. She then went to clean the bottom of my phone and then confused me further by saying the port had to be replaced and then asked me which USB cord would I want. Huh? I don't know that. Very confusing none the less. I don't understand what happened and sounds like management don't train these people well enough to give great service. I got a slower USB charging cord, but the whole experience left me confused. Oh dear! 🙄
I was with about 15 people eating lunch at Pearlys at Langebaan. Food was great but just to see the odd look on my brother's face when the waiter said they don't serve tap water and we will have to get bottled water to drink. This my brother said is ******* in Israel. Pearly restaurant, please give the customer the right to decide if he or she wants tap water or bottled. What a cheek!
I went to the Spur in Goodwood the other night while waiting for a client finish his rating for Karate. I was quiet hungry and ordered the Spur burger. There was somewhat of a let down here. The food wasn't that hot and the waitress spoke very softly. If you had a ho**** voice, please verbalise this. If you don't speak up, people will struggle to hear you. Although I was hungry, I was the one who should have sent it back. The waitress could have taken the food the moment it came away from the kitchen, not letting it stand. Come on, hot food sells on a chilly night, not luke warm food.
I'd like to add a few more things to my last comment on Computer Mania. They are most unprofessional and heard another branch in Cape Town closed down. Go figure! The sales person who dealt with me didn't get anything done about my laptop. Just show how some businesses are a couldn't care attitude and it takes one customer to cause a wave of bad customer service and from there on it spreads like a wide fire. Typical, the said they were sorry. Shame!
Handed in my laptop which is 4-yrs old. Said I needed to have windows reinstalled. Now they tell me that the hard drive is corrupt and needs replacing. I gave them my email and cell number and for a week and a half I waited for a quote. Turns out the person dealing with me had it written down wrong and he failed to call me about this to see what's going on. Finally I spoke to the manager eyeball to eyeball. Told him the story and he apologized but due to lack of communication I doubt they're going to see me again. Customer is king, and so is communicating with all customers. Manager said he was sorry but this has made a sour taste in my mouth. Rather use a computer expert who comes to you instead. Computer Mania, please communicate with customers if email is wrong in store or over a cell phone call.
The other day I was in Rose street upper BoKaap, and was just about to reverse into a parking space when a Pick n Pay ASAP motorcyclist who wasn't looking to where he was going careered into the back of my car causing a scuff mark and a few paint chips on my rear bumper. He said he was sorry and drove off. I contacted Pick N Pay ASAP delivery service telling them about the issue and I got a sms. That's all I got. That was a week ago. Nothing more. Pitty though. I couldn't report it to the police.
I went to get a friend a few donuts for his birthday, the staff member attending to me was stroppie, and I contacted customer care, which they replied to me. Said they were so sorry about my experience. That's the last I heard from customer care. I'm not in the business industry like fruit and veg, but common sense says follow up. I won't be going there again, voting with my wallet to go elsewhere.
I always try to save money when it comes to my 2006 yaris. So recently before winter arrives, I decided to buy my windscreen wipers not the agents. A few months later, the drivers side started to judder. I though to present my problem to the manager as thats what they're there for without my receipt. To my surprise he replaced it at no cost to me. Top class customer service to Midas Salt River manager. I'll be back, and keep my receipts.
