We usually love Fishaways and decided to give the Bellville mall branch a chance. Instead of ordering from Mr. Delivery and paying commission on everything we order, we decided to go pick it up ourselves. We've never tried their sushi and were excited to see what it's like. Our order was quite expensive, which was fine as fish and sushi are expensive, but then we had to wait an HOUR for our food. Eventually, the cashier came to tell us that the kitchen made a mistake with the sushi and made two sets of the same sushi instead of an 8-piece prawn California roll and an 8-piece prawn tempura roll. I asked how long it would take to fix because otherwise I would just take the incorrect order as is. Apparently they were already slicing the newly made sushi, so we decided to wait. But then we waited another 10 minutes! How long does it take to slice sushi, for real?? The fish and chips were already waiting 30 minutes for the sushi by that time. I checked the order with the cashier before leaving, and there were enough parcels so that nothing should have been missing. Of course, once we got home, it became apparent that the two hake, chips, rice, and coleslaw combos we ordered had no coleslaw! Not just that, but EVERYTHING was bitter. The chips was bitter. The hake batter was bitter. The tempura sushi was bitter and overcooked. And the prawn California rolls had a bit of a sour tinge to it, which made you question how old the rice was. No man. We'll never buy from this branch again. They're not on standard. They weren't even busy and this is the service we got for a R700 order? No thank you!!
24 hours service? What nonsense! My husband and I didn't have time to prepare lunch for Thursday 16 Nov, so we decided to leave home earlier Thursday morning and pick up some snack burgers from McDonald's Brackenfell. When we arrived, we saw security strolling about and all the lights inside the building was on. The drive-thru order machine wasn't on, but we could hear the generator running for no reason. We went to the second window to see if we could catch someone's attention, but there wasn't a soul to be seen on the premises even though we hooted and they had a notice up promising 24 hour service. We couldn't walk inside because the front doors were locked, and the security made sure to disappear before we could ask him what's going on. So no lunch for us from McDonald's if they even care. Don't promise 24 hour service and then you're closed before work!
I've seen only good reviews on this company, and I really wonder how come. I placed an order online and paid for it on 19 September 2023. I received a confirmation email and order number, and they said I'll receive an email when my order is ready even though it's booked to be delivered. Up until today, 13 November, I've had NO communication from this company whatsoever! I've emailed them four times to ask for updates, but they ignore me. I've phoned their number, but it doesn't exist. I phoned their India number, but it went through to UK and never even rang. You can't send them a message directly from their website, as it keeps saying "email invalid" and doesn't send anything. I've sent them two Whatsapps, which have also been studiously ignored. I know people who have used them before, and even though they say their delivery is extremely slow, they always receive their orders. However, this is just ridiculous. I have to keep a client hanging because he's already paid for the product, and I'm not getting any updates (not for lack of trying). I'm starting to think I've been ****med. Save yourself some stress and pass on this company.
I was SO scared to use Ubuy, but I'm glad that I did. Their name usually pops up when I'm looking for rather pecu**** items, but I've just never had the guts to make a purchase from them until now because I didn't know them and their reviews are basically half-good/half-bad. I ordered a Wildco rafter counting scale from them on 3 July that had to be imported from the USA, and their delivery estimate was 20 July, which was okay. I was updated on where the parcel was each step of the way, and I just received it this morning, 11 July, in perfect condition. That is a total of 9 days earlier than expected! This was such an easy and convenient shopping experience. Thank you so much for the great service! I will do business with you again in the future.
I received top-notch service from this company. I knew where my parcel was from the start of the process until the end, and it was delivered 2 days earlier than estimated. Thank you for confirming my order so quickly and keeping me abreast of the process. The product packaging had more than enough bubble wrap to wrap it three times over and the parcel was undamaged.
It was scary to once again try out a new company, but I must say I'm impressed. We ordered a large trolley from them in 2021 that was quite expensive, and they delivered it in good condition. Even though they accidentally delivered it to the billing address (in the Cape) and not the delivery address (in Pretoria), they rectified the problem within days and delivered it to the correct address. It was easy to contact them and they were apologetic. We ordered another item from them recently in 2022, and they delivered that item on time and in good condition as well. This is a legit company doing its best to satisfy customers. Don't hesitate to make use of their services.
I love, love, love this company! Not only are their prices competitive, but they give you options and free delivery sometimes. I have ordered so many products from Takealot I've lost count. Everything from exercise equipment, home decor, clothes, UPSes, batteries, and kitchenware, they have it all. You get what you pay for when you expect it. Should there be any difficulties, they will deliver what they have on hand and arrange delivery for the rest at a later stage at no additional cost to you. They have given me large refunds with no questions asked when I changed my mind, and they are available whenever you call them. They are not pushy at all, nor do they drive you crazy with marketing campaigns. Their website and app are user-friendly with loads of filters to find exactly what you're looking for. They give you updates on your delivery and you can track it anytime on their website as well. If you haven't used them yet, you're missing out. Stunning company!
Thank you, once again, to Manicaa for delivering exactly what I ordered. This is now the second time I've made use of their services, and I have not been disappointed. Their delivery estimation is spot-on and their teaming up with Courier Guy makes everything run smoothly. Thank you for checking up on me and being available for questions and concerns. I will definitely do business with you again should I need some of those hard-to-acquire items. Keep it up!
So I was having a hell of a lot of issues with another internet service provider and was considering moving to Mweb. I saw previously on their website that they offered a 50/20 uncapped fibre line at R689 per month. However, when I went looking for it, they had a promotion for the same line at R24 for the first month. I just wanted to make sure the price for the following months would still be R689 and saw no other way to confirm this but to place the product in my basket. Biggest mistake of my life! Not only could I not confirm the price of the line, but I kid you not when I say that FIVE different agents called me trying to confirm the sale!! I was still considering switching to Mweb after the first two calls, but I have sorted out the mess with my original ISP in the meantime, and I asked Mweb after the third call to not call me again. But did they listen? Of course not. I'm like free game to them or something just because they had my phone number (without warning me online that they may still contact me if I did not proceed with the order, as some other companies do.) I was phoned again just now, and I told the agent that he's the FIFTH person calling me about this. I asked whether Mweb will please stop calling me now, and he said, "Yeah," and hung up on me. I wasn't going to say anything on Hellopeter, but I felt this was extremely rude and the last straw in my opinion, so I wanted to warn people to not make the same mistake I did. They will harass the hell out of you.
It's been a while since we've seen such good service. I was SO SO afraid to use a company I have not heard of before. In today's online market it is unbearably easy to become a victim of a scam as my parents can attest to. You can research all you want and still lose a hell of a lot of money due to a fraudulent website and crooks on the prowl for someone willing to take a chance on them. We looked up DIY Geek on Hello Peter and the reviews were all positive. But sometimes I can't help but wonder whether the employees themselves aren't writing reviews for companies, so it did not really comfort me all that much. We found the warehouse on Google Maps, but it had the name of another company on the building (not scary at all hey). My husband phone them and the owner was pretty helpful. He knew what was not in stock and what could be delivered immediately and he gave my husband peace of mind. However, it was only once I saw they traded on Takealot that I decided to take the plunge. I had to order 12 x 200 ah deep cycle batteries. This amounted to well over a hundred thousand rand, so you can imagine my trepidation. We ordered the batteries, paid them via EFT (as Payfast wanted over four thousand rand to complete the transaction on the website) and then we forwarded them the proof of payment and waited. They kept me up to date every step of the delivery process and I received the batteries in tip top shape within 3 days. I will recommend doing business with DIY Geek to anyone who asks. They are a legitimate business and you get what you pay for. Thank you very much for your service.
