I am on month to month contract with gym company newton December 2025 I paid my gym subscription on my payday via the link they sent on smses . January 2026 I still received same massages I decided to call them spoke to Monica who shared whatsapp number so I can forward her the screenshots of smses I have been receiving even though I paid all that happened on the 15th January .I was told i must send bank statement to prove it which I did . I was told to wait for update . 21 January I contacted her again for update she said nothing yet but I can come to gym , I told her I will not till the issue is sorted . 26 January I sent another msg saying due to no response to my issue I am cancelling my membership. she didnt respond . Feb subscription went thru still I wasn't going to gym as I was waiting for my query to be resolved .3rd of March I went back to whatsapp and told Monica to cancel my membership. she responded with " He didn't call you "? I dont even know who was supposed to call I said no it doesn't matter anymore just cancel my membership. 31st March she sent me msg on whatsapp that am owing R399 , I reminded her of all conversations we had she pretended like she knew nothing ....I sent her even email of cancelation I sent to gym company email I got from their website she responded by saying email address I used by Mr D( I dont know who is that ) he is no longer with them . I told her I dont care still want my membership cancelled . instead of assiting with cancelation she begged me to stay which I refused still. 16th April I received another whatsapp msg but this time From Sandy Nganga , I explain same story sent all proof of communication with Monica she told me I was supposed to do it online . I explained that no one told me How to ...I sent email and also spoke to monica who never explained to me I must go online but the fact if emails and whatsapp communications are there . she said nothing but just send link. I still continuously received smses . now friday 22nd May ....I received another whatsapp msg from Thando Xaba this time saying I owe R798 I don't know how it got to that amount cause I haven't been in gym from November 2025. Dec 25 paid , Jan 26 paid Feb 26 paid though not in Gym after feb Payment I requested for Payment. Gym company need to sort this out speak to this monica lady who knows the issue from beginning and cancel my membership(NT1946645)
It very sad that we had to come to hello Peter just to get help. on the 20th Oct I spoke to Masego regarding my account who advised me my account is paid up and vodacom owes me refund. she said i must email my proof of banking details so they can process it. i sent the email. someone by then name of Lwazi responded asking me to send a proof of payment of the money Vodacom owes me. I ddidnt know what to send since i wasnt even aware Voda owes me , so i sent him/her all proof of payment since my account was handed over. 24th Oct I received email from Lwazi saying refund has been process it might take 7-14 days subject to approval. fine i get that. Then i asked for paid up letter which it was sent on the 25th October . 27th I noticed the Letter was dated 2022/10/25 which doesn't make sense to me since i was told my account was paid up 2023. i sent email to Lwazi on 27th. 30th Oct sent a reminder still no response. 31st another email , still no response. am very frustrated of the treatment am getting from Vodacom.
I have paid my account in full October 2022. 19 November 2022 I received my paid up letter but till today they still put me in arears on my credit report . I called them , spoke to someone at collections department who told me he cant help me instead took my contacts and said legal team will contact me he also mentioned I will receive an SMS with reference number or case number but still no SMS came thru. I was told when I apply for credit I must take my paid up letter and produce it when Cell c pop up as unpaid. I don't want that, why not updated on credit Bureaus? its almost a year and still not updated . This is ridiculous.
I called twice and for some reason I could come right till I called the 3rd time a guy called Sashin was very friendly and helpful.
I MADE MY LAST PAYMENT ON THE 24/10/2022 TILL TODAY NO ONE IS HELPING ME WITH MY PAID UP LETTER. I CALL THE DAILY. I HAVE SENT EMAILS SEVERALLY . I EVEN CALLED CELL C WHO TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO CAUSE MY ACCOUNT WAS HANDED OVER. THIS IS FRUSTRATING AS I NEED MY PAID UP LETTER.
I have sent this query(see below) to Vodacom on the 15th Nov 2021. no one responded and the I called but still no one responded. then I got approached by MBD saying the have my account I made payment arrangements which i am still adhering to it. few days ago i went to Vodacom store to do sim swap since i misplaced the sim card only to found out my profile has been delete. then i resent same email(see below and query ) Vodacom lady called me and said they can recycle the number , i must liason with MBD. lady From MDB told me i must pay amount of R11plus to get my number back. 1. i was never contacted regarding my number being deleted .2. as per 1st attorneys i was owing 5337.48 which i paid 4800 before I realize my number not working November . thats when i stopped paying hoping someone will reach out since my mail was being ignored. 2 months ago MBD reached out and told me the amount is 11kplus which i don't Know how come but still I made payment arrangement . I feel its unfair what was done to me, i have been a loyal Vodacom client for yrs yet am expected to continue paying yet i cant Use the service , how is that far?? below email is the email I initially sent to Vodacom and Alliance attorneys. went on unpaid maternity leave from October 2020 to Feb 2021. Though I contacted Vodacom and alerted them, my account was still handed over. I missed Payments from November 2020 till January 2021 . October was my last month working which i was paid so the vodacom debit order was successful. When I resumed work on the 1st of Feb I found out my account was handed over to Alliance and I was in contact with Felia Makwena. I was told for my account to go back and be paid as normal. I must pay the balance of R5337.64 outstanding balance( see attached correspondence). Thereafter I made arrangements to pay R2000. 00 first payment to be followed by instalmenst till that R5337.64 paid up to date. In March i tried contacting alliance thru emails and their whatsapp trying to make further payment arrangements with no luck. Then there was a Guy whom I can't remember his name. He looked at my account and he could allocate payment. He advised me to wait for further instructions. In April another call received that I made an arrangement to pay R700 monthly, which I had been paying till Aug when I reached out to the alliance asking for a statement and I could get through . In September I made another payment of 700 which still didn't receive any update. In October my number was deactivated. I don't know the reason behind it. I called Vodacom and I was told my number cant be allocated except for the part that it was handed over. on top of that my account was not handed over to VVM reason behind that its unexplained and i have been told i am owing R17589.71 which doesn't make sense cause i was only on arrears due to unpaid maternity and balance owed was only 5337.64 of which so far i have paid R4800.00 of that amount. Now someone Please explain to me why I must continue paying my account while you have deactivated my number without reason or at least tell me the reasons behind.
for the past 4 weeks i have been harassed by MBD ATTORNEYS, i dont know where they got my office number but everyday when i get to work i get massages that they called , sometimes they call when i pick up my land line its just mbd voice massage. i tried to speak to they to please change my numbers to my cellphones but thats not happening. i have also explained that i have been on review for the past 3 yrs they said my account was only handed to them 7th May 2021 which is confusing. they refuse to call my DC . now i feel very harassed at work. am worried this may lead to bad impression as sometimes they call very early morning on landline and my boss receives the call.
Rose she was amazing.... She helped me professionally and am happy with the outcome.
