Do not purchase gifts at Takealot. They sell damaged goods
My husband ordered a Virtex airfryer as a gift for me. When I opened it it had a deent and a little crack on the handle. He sent it back Takealot had no problem picking it up after the 7 day return period . It was 9 days after delivery he returned it. As it was a gift he did not give it to me on the same day when he received it. They would not honor the return and sent the damaged item straight back. Do not but gifts fir anyone at Takealot if u r not going to give it to them straight away. Takealot sell damaged goods and refuses to even swop it for the same item that is in a good condition.

Stunning views and suoer lunches
We were on holiday in Cape Town 3 weeks ago and as we had previously visited many wine farms in Stellenbisch we decided to explore some wine farms in Durbanville as it was closer to Cape Town. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection in that area. My husband and I decided to go for lunch at Hillcrest Wine Farm. This was a perfect choice .The views over the vineyards from the dining area was amazing. We both ordered the pork belly and it was done to perfection. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and super friendly.What a lovely afternoon spent here.

Great service
Bought 2 carpets from White House Linen in Heugh Road last Saturday. I wanted to check if their other branch at Moffat Retail Park had another carpet in a bit of a different grey and the sales assistant even made a videocall to the other branch to show me the colors available. I did an exchange for a different color later that afternoon and there was no problem at all. The staff was knowledgeable and super friendly.Wide selections of goods available at affordable prices

Delicious pizzas
I purchased a takeaway pizza here 2 weeks ago and was super impressed with the variety of pizzas available and also the quality hade the chicken and rib one and it had more than enough chicken and rib on the pizza. I simply loved the crispy thin crust. Another plus factor was that as a pensioner I received a fifty percent discount as I made the purchase on a Wednesday

Super Impressed with Grass Roof
I was super impressed by the large selection of breakfast dishes on the menu. We were in a party of 4 people and everyone commented on their delicious meal that was well presented and at a very reasonable cost. The staff was super friendly.Will definetly be back.

RCS and Edgars worst service ever
I sent an email to clise my Edgars account as the balance is zero and I no longer need the account.I was advised by the customer accounts section at Walmer Park that I can not close the account there and that I need to send an email to edgarsaccountclosure at RCS.I sent the email in October 2020 and received automated reply that they will be attending to my request.I sent a follow up email this month and to date have had no response as to whether my account is closed.The Walmer Park branch said that they are unable to view closures.I still receive marketing material on a daily basis and believe that this is illegal as I have requested not to receive marketing material from them. Edgars as well as RCS are the worst companies for customer service.I have had an Edgars account for over 30 years and have used the club benefits but with many problems each time.I even experienced problems with the Ster Kinekor part of the club benefits.

Super Hairdresser
Today I utilized the services a a new hair stylist at Ultimate Stylist in Walmer Park Port Elizabeth. I had a Brazilian blowout done by Marcelle and was super impressed.My hair looked absolutely stunning. The staff were all very pleasant and seemed to be working well together.A staff member even offered her services to another staff member without being asked first.Prices were reasonable all over.I was also impressed with the fact that they recorded all your details whether over 50+ as well as your birthday.There were big screens between basins for protection against covid and I observed that sanitation was done on a regular basis..Overall impression excellent!

Amazing overall experience
We were on holiday in Cape Town and visited La Parada Constantia Nek last Sunday.The views from this restuarant into the Constantia Valley and surrounding mountains was spectacular waiter was super and recommended the Inverroche gins from the summer ****tail list.We ordered the special of 5 tapas for R299.The Rib Eye Steak and Pork Belly was to die for.Itvwas a nice touch to have music in the background and the drums sounded amazing

Edgars accounts handked by RCS shoking information
I have had conducted an Edgar's account for the past 40 years on a 6 months interest free basis. Now that the Edgars accounts are handled by RCS I get charged an interest rate of 24 per cent plus on my small outstanding balance.I would like to point out to all Edgar's customers that it would be better to pay by credit card and purchase your goods at other stores where you can get rewarded plus you can get rewards on your credit card when using it.
