This was the second time purchasing from Amazon US & sadly, it will be the last. I bought a Citizen watch & it arrived with the warranty card not filled in. Also, when I reviewed the watch negatively, my review wasn't posted & when I tried to review it again, suddenly I was restricted. So it seems as though Amazon manipulates reviews, by limiting negative reviews & thus one cannot trust any product bought off their platform if this is the case. I've heard rumors, but now judging from my own experience I believe the rumors.
I recently had new glasses made. I have one for reading & one for distance. I wanted bifocals that meant I would have 1 set of glasses & wouldn't have to constantly switch between two or carry two. Well, I was told this was not possible. They could not even make me one pair that I could read with & watch tv in one. So once again I'm having to carry two sets & constantly switch. I've since learnt, it is indeed possible to have bifocals that allow for reading & distance all in one, but unfortunately now, thanks to Neovision, my budget is spent. Do not go to these people, they obviously don't know what they're doing & will just waste your money. I certainly won't ever use them again. With my wife needing new glasses, we'll stay well clear of them. #BlackFriday
Yesterday, we decided to go to Ocean basket for our weekly date. I work 6 days a week & we do this once a week to unwind & have some 'us' time. So every week, we try a restaurant on our rotation list. So far we only have 3 that has consistent good food & service at a reasonable price. Well, I'm glad to say we'll add Ocean basket Table Bay to our list. The food was amazing & the service prompt & friendly. You can see the manager cares about this establishment. It's well worth a visit & we're thankful that we've found another venue to add to our very short list. #BlackFriday
Last night I browse Shein & find a watch I've been looking at for R939. So I decide to buy it. Just before I finalize my purchase, I all of a sudden notice the price is now changed to R1636 & to add insult to injury, I notice a little warning that reads ' the item in this category cannot be returned or exhanged'. I immediately closed my account & deleted the app. Do not buy from these ************ people
We have a 32 day notice account that we opened a few years ago. We've noticed FNB's service getting worse & worse & the last 3 visits just confirmed that we need to move away from them. The lady assisting us the last 2 times was great, but unfortunately it's their systems that's broken. I actually felt sorry for her. But I'm done wirh FNB now. I'm done wasting time at a branch begging for MY money. With ABSA, we can do things online. With FNB, there's always some issue that forces us to go to a branch.
Yesterday we had to go pick up a Takealot parcel & our pick up point was PnP Table Bay mall. The visit just reminded we once again why we do not shop at PnP. Their staff. They'll pretend to be busy, so as to not have to help you & when they eventually do help you, it's as if they're doing you a massive favor. I don't actually know how they're still in business
I am absolutely ecstatic. This was my first purchase from Amazon.com & because it wasn't local, I wasn't sure what to expect. I found the .com page easy to navigate & could clearly see the seller's details & that the item I was interested in was shipped & sold by Amazon themselves. I also loved that I could check upfront what the costs would be, including shipping & customs. Although an estimate, it was very accurate. It is appreciated, because we all work according to a budget. On many other international platforms, one only gets the customs amount after the payment had been done & the item had shipped. Thus it can come as a surprise when the fee is higher than expected. Thank you Amazon for a hassle free experience. We'll definitely order from you again in the future.
<div>Today we received our last order from Temu. Out of 8 items, 1 was good. The rest ranged from junk to meh. The things that put me off is the dishonesty of this platform. It's in the misrepresentation of the images, the false reviews, the poor quality sold as good. The way they treat customers, whikst acting to care. I'm probably going to get the usual generic response again from their bot. But we're finally done with Temu. I'm not even going to waste my time on a return. I've deleted the app & write this review to serve as a warning to anyone considering buying from them. Don't. And don't believe the reviews or the paid influencers or people defending them or claiming to never have had any issues. They'll claim we don't read descriptions properly or don't do our homework, but that is just to make it sound like it's our fault & that it's not the platform. But believe me, I have nothing to gain by yelling you to stay far away from Temu.</div>
This is now the umpteenth time I'm having to fight with Temu. They act as if dealing with them is so easy, but they make everything as difficult as they can, by pretending to not know what you're talking about. And their bot just sends you around in circles. I now see my item which is on it's way being shipped dropped in price. Temu has a policy whereby they refund you if this happens. I've taken screenshots to prove it. Now the bot sends me around in circles not giving me the correct choices to click on, so as to not have to refund me. Just shows how dishonest they are. This will be my final purchase from Temu. I really don't care how cheap an item is in future. I will never put myself through this frustration again. I'm done with Temu. After this order, the app is getting deleted off our phones.
If I could give them a minus 0, I would. This was my last attempt at trying to sell something on their platform. All you get is **** artists. That's it. Every single person I got a response from was trying to **** me. Some even had ridiculously made up names. Wanting me to send the item to their son or brother or whatever in another province, offering hundreds of rands more to cover for the courier, making you ask, why they would then not just buy the item in their province for less. This was it though. I am now finally done with Gumtree. What is the point if all you're doing is wasting your time & opening yourself up to ********s? Gumtree has now become a ces****l. Do yourself a favor & stay clear.
