Warning to other potential shoppers, placed an order with Time Machines managed by Wilberrys on the 15th Jan 2026, its now the 20th. I received an immediate automated email confirming my purchase, but nothing since then. Their phone number is not available, does not ring and their email address rejects incoming mail. So no way on contacting them. I will post an update.
I am entitled to an It3b Tax Certificate for each account with Standard Bank. It is not available for one of my accounts on their online banking system. Being a "PRESTIGE" client, I mistakenly believed all I needed to do was write an email to my "Relationship Banker" requesting it. Well, unfortunately not, she instead directed me to their "CALL CENTRE" promising me that they would call me and I should look out for a call with their number which provided. Needless to say, the CALL CENTRE did not contact me, so I called them; after waiting 10mins being NO.31 in the queue and having to endure the most annoying unmusical sound, I gave up. I tried again later that day, I was only NO.2 in the queue and was much more optimistic, after waiting nearly 15 minutes enduring the same torturous sound, Theo answered my call and proceeded with an "endless" over-the-top validation process, requesting my ID again, accepting the notification on the App, reciting my own bank account numbers etc, spending 2 mins listening to a prerecorded playback of the Banks T&C's, he then said I should wait online while they had the pleasure of playing their annoying sound to me again. By this stage we are 20 minutes into trying to lodge a simple request for my IT3b and I am really annoyed. I wrote an email to my "PRESTIGE RELATION BANKER", explaining my experience and requesting she email me the certificate, but she has still not responded. To my horror, I cc'd in the Western Cape Prestige Call Centre, to which an automated reply response announced that they had closed this service and I was supposedly dealing with the "RIGHT" people already. Can someone please deal with this and send me the It3b.
I called multichoice earlier in the evening of the 17/09 to enquire about my old decoder (have two) which stopped working and suggested the best thing is that I upgrade instead of having this old one attended to. About an hour later, the DSTV signal disappeared completely. When I phone the call centre again, it's now my problem to find out why the brand new master decoder has "mysteriously" suddenly stopped working - no signal, no error codes and it's a perfectly clear day with no cloud cover. Nothing infuriates me more than paying multichoice huge sums every month for them to make their problems mine. Need to find an alternative, a "dinosaur" company.
Adendorff Machinery Mart Customer Care - Request Reference 74537 - Bench Milling Machine DM130 This is the ticket raised on January 15th after I gave up contacting the Montague Gardens Branch to get the spares necessary to repair this machine. After trying to replace the potentiometer, it became apparent that the speed control board was faulty. It was not available and had to come in the Container. Although I was promised it had arrived, I am still waiting. This machine has been out of action for over a year, and I am not impressed.
Takealot is in violation of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and seems to have a habit of making it very difficult for its customers when it comes to returns. We purchased a Television per order MRRN-RZKA8-P6ED for the sum of R13499.00 on 22 February 2024. At the same time, the room in which it would be installed was being renovated, and we had to wait for the work to be completed. It stood upright, safely stored in the same position inside the property while we waited. On 20th March, when we were ready to install the TV, we opened the packaging to find that the screen was cracked in multiple places, it was very obviously severely damaged in transit. A return was logged on the same day, and the Television was collected the next day. On the 27th, we were notified by email that the return had been declined because we had not returned the item within 7 days. The CPA makes it clear that consumers have a reasonable period to conclude whether an item is defective, or not. This is a very dishonest business practice, and it needs to be stopped. Order 348351 : We placed this order on 23 December 2023, an amount of R3719.00; on 5 January 2024, we were advised the item was out of stock, and they could not order it any longer, so we requested a refund, but no reply.
As with all the other victims, same story, all looks legit and then no goods arrive. No one you can contact, got a response from skechers.com advising its not official but they are doing nothing to stop the racket and assist customers get their money back. Visa and ABSA are equally useless.
