I thought it was a good idea to bank with FNB The app is a nightmare They link accounts to your profile as loans and credit cards that's not even yours as I have no loans nor credit cards. The customer service is a joke Trying to take out any product such as Funaral cover or in hospital cover is such mess that you waiste your time as they can't debit your account in over 6 months then you get notified that they are cancelling these type of products they offered ( but as a client I went to the branch many times and they keep telling you these products are active - but they are not and then get cancelled - that's fine as they didn't want you to have them in the first place so I can't see why they offer them !) I give up with FNB
I took a funaral policy at FNB life and after endless phonecalls to them , even from within a branch, they couldn't manage to give me the product as they are clearly *********** to do a simple debit order, asking me every time not to cancel the product over a period of 5 months , just to go and cancel it from their side. Utterly useless
I have now been trying endlessly to update my FICA DOCUMENTS. I send the documents in August, then drove to a branch , had to redo them yesterday and had to reset it today. So 4 times in a row but I must just redo it all the time and has been informed yesterday that my account will be placed on hold. I don't know if anything in this country actually still works properly
So after a few years I moved back to FNB and I have had a great experience since I moved. However this all changed with FNB life, for two months in a row they failed in debiting my account, with funds in the account , for my funaral policy, two months I have been asking them to resolve it, just to get a text this afternoon that my funaral policy has now been cancelled. I left FNB before due to a lack of service. Went back, had a great experience till now. I dont think this is right at all.
So it came to light this week , after I spent a extended time in hospital ICU , that I was a victim of identity theft. I went to my fantastic bank whom manage all my products from normal bank accounts all the way to my funaral policy. When we decided to add a investment account to my profile the ***** protection unit of SA froze MY account ME being the victim. The business listed was our African Bank who have had uncountable number of " accedetal private information leaked" over many many years. My bank Manager went with me to this African bank to find out how they can list this and instruct any products the victim procure moving forward must and will be blocked seeing that he / she is the victim. African bank have absolutely no record of me whatsoever. My bank branch manager then took me to the local police station to write a affidavit as African bank needs that so they can investigate. Once this was done my bank manager took the documents back to African bank and then we went back to his/my branch to assist me. And they managed to. African bank say the investigation can take anything from 30 to 90 days but in most cases it takes longer than this. And this warrant the name of a bank? This is disgusting African bank should have been closed down permanently along time ago. African bank was 99.9% closed down but no government kept them open, then a year or so ago they had a breach of everything the popi act should protect us from yet Government keeps their doors open. And the victim of *****, in this case myself must get letters saying that I was a victim of ***** in 2020 MORE THAN 3 YEARS AGO AND IF IT WAS NOT FOR MY FANTASTIC BANK, I would not have known, WHY IS AFRICAN BANK STILL OPERATING AND HOW DO THEY GET AWAY WITH THING LIKE THIS , WHY IS SOUTH AFRICANS NOT PROTECTED BY THE OH SO WONDERFUL POPI ACT WHEN THIS ACT IS NOT ADHERED TO BY AFRICAN BANK? Myself , the victim have endless procedures to follow to get a letter stating I was a victim, can someone explain this to me or is it a ****** thing seeing that I am white?
Sars hunt down poor South African citizen to squeeze R2000 or R3000 out of them BUT when big companies gets reported getting away with 2/3 millions of tax money and gets reported they do nothing about it
I took out a extended breakdown warranty with bidvest and was informed that I have 30 days to change my mind. The first debit order went off on the 15th ( 7 days ago) I have cancelled this policy 5 days ago. I have had to send Endless emails copied in the consultant and the department dealing with the warranties but to no avail. I would like my refund and some form of communication
The department of agriculture and labour allows south Africans to go and work in Zambia with promise's of a tax free salary and benefits IE medical insurance but in some cases there is no salary and benefits and once a person gets ill they are sent back with, in this case, malaria - the department of health is struggling as it is and now they must with out knowing prepare for south african Expats that was infected with malaria and sent home with no pay or benifits, fit the bill instead of the employer taking responsibility for anything. How can this be possible, and how can your life insurance be held responsible to act on your behalf, sars gets no money they employee gets no salary, they get a very serious illness and government must fit the bill???
This department allow south Africans to go work I'm African countries as expats and have no problem with them returning home with no salary no benifits offered by die employment agencies nor the company they work with, gets promises tax free salaries and medical benifits just to return back with no salary no benifits offered and in a specific case malaria and no one takes responsibility and expect your life ensuring company to step in to , at the very least , get you proper private health care, I'm not sure what the department of labor nor department of health feels about this process
I have been driving mentioned cars since 2010 and with every upgrade they have allowed a test drive of more tha a 30 minute around the block but a extended test to ensure it fits with the life style, that the car has enough ground clearance for my home etc but refuse even a simple call back customer service or rather the lack thereof is going the same route as the country ( and Eskom) what use to be my brand of choice is now just as useless as other brands!!!!!
