We recently shopped at Leroy Merlin Fourways. What an absolute pleasure. We were helped promptly, given sound advise and the cashier at the checkout was amazing. We sincerely hope that this level of service is kept up as service in SA these days is practically non-existent. My choice of depot for all my home needs. Highly recommend.
I booked tickets to Selim Kagee at the Pieter Toerien theatre at Montecasino. We were looking so forward to the show. On arrival, the theatre was chaotic. We walked to the entrance to go to our seats. Somebody looked at our tickets and said we could take our seats, which we duly did. 5 minutes before the show started all hell broke loose. The usher was shouting at me for my tickets. Since when do Ushers get off shouting at elderly people! I did not print them and had them on my phone. He continued shouting at me. The more he shouted at me, the more flustered I got and the longer it took me to find the tickets. He screamed at me and told me that I was holding up the show. Everyone in the theatre had their eyes on me. Then he said just leave it! and stormed off. Once I found my tickets, I realised that I was seated in row L and not N. I had made a mistake. What I don't also understand is why the people that had booked those seats couldn't have asked me just to check. The show then started and I sat back in the chair, only to have a metal bar digging into my back. I sat upright for the whole show. The theatre seats need a total redo. They are also dirty. Its the first time I have been to that theatre and it will be the last! Very disappointed with the whole experience. Thank goodness Selim Kagee's show was phenomenal.
We recently spent 4 days at Forever Resorts Badplaas. The amount of work, maintenance etc going on is amazing to see. All the staff were amazing and so friendly. We could not fault this amazing resort. We also had dinner at the hotel. Once again great service, great food and all done with a smile. We will be back on a continued basis.
Had a mammogram, bone density and a CT scan. The ladies (sorry no men today) were amazing. They explained the procedure and what they would be doing at all times. I have difficult veins, and it was painless. I thought it couldn't get any better but it did. A huge shout out and thank you to Hilda, Kirsten, Nadia and Grace. Just amazing ladies! Hope the level of this service stays! 🙏
My daughter hit a pot hole while driving her Big *** scooter. The bike has not been the same since. 6 visits to Big *** and I am mortified. We were referred to Everything Bike at Northcliff corner and I can honestly say the best advice anyone has given me in a long time. Wesley and his team were amazing. Gave us the worst case scenario ans also immediate fixes to suit my daughters pocket. She is a teacher after all! They delivered the bike back to us and I cant believe its the same bike. Very impressed and very thankful. I wish Everything Bike only the best in their business as their strong work ethic will make them great. Thank you Everything Bike.
My puppy recently became paralised in her back legs. My vet said I must take her through to JHB Specialist vet Centre. Its a week that she has been there and the staff have been amazing. A huge shout out to especially Dr Naude and Nicole. The staff are always friendly and helpful and extremely supportive. A big thank you for putting every effort to get our little baby on the road to perhaps walking again.
This business goes above and beyond. Have dealt with them on various occassions. Their attention to detail, prompt service and value for money would be hard to find elsewhere in the industry. They are also innovative. Always something new. For all your canvas, fridge magnet and key ring requirements I would highly recommend them.
As previously shared, after two months we were still battling to get an answer out of Discovery Insure. After posting on hellopeter, we got a private message and our claim received attention. As mentioned we asked for a copy of the report from the service provider that had walked around the property and said its complicated. His report sure was not complicated, it said nothing. Very disappointed that this is the type of service provider a Company like Discovery Insure would use. A gentleman phoned me to give me the out come of our claim and asked him to put it in writing. When we got the letter it stated our claim for storm damage to our building and a claim for a fridge, neither of which we claimed for. The letter wasn't right. Discovery Insure are punting the slogan "they haven't just changed one thing, they have changed everything, well in my humble opinion its definitely not for the better! Maybe time to look at other insurers out there!
We had an emergency sewage related issue to which Discovery Insure responded immediately. The plumbers came out and advised there was a bigger issue. I paid for them to put a camera down the full 40 metres of piping and to flush the pipes. They submitted a report to Discovery with their findings. I heard nothing and called only to have them send out another lot of plumbers to come fix resultant damage. There was none and both parties were confused. The plumbers were then asked to submit a report, which Discovery already has, on their findings and that was only on what I told them and walking them through the lay out of the property. Up till yesterday I have not had a response. I phone again. Spoke to a lady and she asked me to hold as she wanted to speak to the handler. After 20 minutes the call was cut off. 15 minutes later I get an email to say my claim has been handed over to some-one else. We have just been hit with an over 11% premium increase. Is that to pay 2 lots of call out fees when the first would have sufficed? All we want to know is whether the claim will be honoured or not so we know how to proceed. We are not asking too much considering this claim was lodged on the 30th March 22. Come on Discovery Insure. This is not acceptable if you are going to hike peoples premiums like that.
I had an issue in trying to terminate a dependant off the Medical Aid. I had been querying this since the beginning of May and on a previous call was told it would show after her birthday. This wasn't the case. We got my daughter onto a new Medical Aid but they could not activate her membership as it showed she was still active on Bankmed. I unfortunately did not get the ladies name but was so impressed with the way she handled me and my query. she had me calm and laughing. By the end of the call all was sorted and I had the revised membership certificate. More call centres need people like this lady. Thank you and Bankmed is lucky to have a gem like you.
