Will hound you for money for the installation, as in multiple times a day and that’s where it ends. No after sales service, no keeping of promises. You just get ghosted. Shop around - there are many better service providers out there.
You are forced to communicate using WhatsApp or web chat where the response times are so slow you invariably have to attend to something else. Then you get penalised with an additional month’s cancellation because their service is slow. Boggles the mind! You get penalised because their service levels are bad. And the sad part is that they won’t care about this and other bad reviews.

Afrihost's rating should plummet below zero. Their service is a disgrace, riddled with inefficiency. Each consultant you encounter is a baffling mix of cluelessness and contradictions. <div>Worst experience ever! In South Africa so many people are looking at installing a water backup system. While shopping around, here is a supplier NOT to use. This must rate as my worst experience from a service provider ever. At first you will be greeted with charm and promises but this is where is ends. My water backup system was installed and the next day the tank started overflowing. Wesley did not take my calls after messaging him about it and I had to get my brother in law to phone him. Amazing that when I called he apparently "had no reception" but immediately after took my brother-in-law's call. Shortly after that was repaired, I notified him that the water coming out of my tank was brown. And not after a regional water cut. This was mid-November 2023. It took 3 months of messaging and unanswered phone calls before I got a response. When the pump was finally fetched, 3 months after reporting it, I was told I would be without it for two days. That was the reason for only fetching it on a Monday and not the Friday as promised, pretending to care about me being without water over a weekend. 17 days later, after many messages and being spoken to like a ********, I got a new pump installed. And this only because I insisted that fixing a pump that was giving issues from the beginning was not an acceptable outcome. Once again amazing that I was told he only had one gentleman at work that day and was under sooo much pressure and having 3 men arrived at my place late in the afternoon when a new pump was installed. Let's hope this one is not fong kong with parts that rust, causing brown water. Spare yourself some headaches and don't use this supplier. And bear in mind that my issues were immediately after it was installed and not years later. All he is interested in is getting his money (and will hound you for it) and that is where any service ends.</div>
Worst experience with a moving company ever. My daughter moved from Johannesburg to Umhlanga due to her studies. It was a disaster from beginning to end: - Her bed arrived broken - The back of the washing machine was off - Her white desk chair is damaged and has marks on that won't come off - The movers brought stuff to her apartment that did not belong to her. When she told them that it doesn't belong to her, the movers said "Ok, how much will you give us for this" - They also arrived at 10pm with her furniture I wish I can give less than a one star because they don't even deserve that.
Such poor customer service. You are forced to use live chat and have to wait 10 minutes between asking a question and getting a reply. What has happened to decent customer service where you can pick up the phone and get assistance? I don't want the agent who is helping me to focus on 10 queries at the same time.
Dstv is clearly grappling for straws to stay afloat. I cancelled my DSTV subscription via the app. When I noticed my account was still being debited, I contacted them. According to them, I only cancelled Showmax. Why would I do this as Showmax is free on premium membership? I escalated the issue but did t receive a call back. When I phoned back, the agent referred to my previous complaint and the notes on the system. I once again asked for a callback from a manager. Nothing. I then emailed them and got a response. When I finally got to speak to a manager, I was told there is no record on the system of my previous interactions. How dishonest can one be? It is sad that in this day and age we cannot take anyone at their word. Get a name, get a reference number, write down the time, etc. When I was a customer, after taking the account over from my late husband, they also charged me insurance after I clearly stated I don’t want insurance. DSTV is dishonest to the core and their processes are *********.
Most ridiculous company. Looked this morning on Takealot and saw Elite Shopper selling an Air Fryer. Original Price R1,899 marked down to R1,149. This was at 06:18. When I got to work i wanted to purchase it just after 08:00. Miraculously the original price changed (within two hours) to R2,399 and the discounted selling price changed to R1,498. Very unethical behaviour! How can the 'original' price go from R1,899 to R2,399 in two hours. This type of dishonesty puts everything else in question. If i could give zero stars, I would have. @takealot - you need to change your policies that prices can't be changed in the middle of the day.
At the beginning of March I ordered a Samsung Core A3 from Incredible Connection. Nothing on their website or at any time of the order process indicated that the phone was network locked. When the phone arrived, there was a big sticker on the phone that indicated it was Vodacom locked. I have been trying to return this phone since 11 March 2022. I have phones, I have filled in forms, I have taken to Twitter but still nothing. What do I need to do to get service? My return number is 9000238635.
