I was looking for some hardware for my doors and after looking for weeks I found it at Deco Doorware. I called before purchasing as I had not purchased from the store before. I received excellent and timeous service, they did not have stock of the product the day I called but I was advised they had an order for it and it would arrive in a few days, they called me back when it arrived and the product was exactly what it said it was online and it arrived the day after I made my order and it was packaged well. I will definitely continue to support this business. 10 out of 5 from me.
My father passed away 3 months ago and had a policy and bank account with ABSA. I accompanied my mother to put in the claim for the policy (however she conducted the actual meeting alone), the lady assisting her at our nearest branch opened a new account for her and a new policy without her consent, every document she looked at on the day and signed she understood to be related to the claim we were there for, it became clear nearing the meeting with her that she opened a new account for her, which she has since requested be cancelled. It is also now clear there is a new policy in her name, as she keep getting messages about it and attempts to collect instalments. This is some of the most unethical and disgusting abuse and exploitation of customers. Further to that, all these months later there are still outstanding policy monies which were paid out to my father's bank account, which ABSA subsequently closed. My mother has already made the request to have the monies transferred to her account at the branch and submitted the relevant documents for same, and has been waiting since for the monies to reflect, nothing, just being sent around without any real assistance. Such a disgusting disgusting institution, that treats people at their worst with disdain and fraudulent behavior.
This institution is a nightmare to get any communication with. As a parent, who is responsible for paying fees I have not been able to get any assistance regarding enquiries on fees, results and really anything, I am sent around by rude administrative staff with no real assistance. This has been the case for at least two years, the most useless attempts at getting any information, calls arent answered half the time and when they are you are always directed to send emails which are never get responded to - what a terrible way to run an institution of learning.
Payflex does not appear to have a functioning phone line and you are directed to email when you require assistance from them. I have an outstanding refund from them from going on a month now and they have not responded to my emails. They are impossible to get hold of to correct any issues and apparently process refunds.
The portion sizes for what they charge is actually criminal, I ordered 200g of ribs and it literally couldn't have been more than 100g, the food is okay at best.
The Olives & Plates in Sandton is an actual sh* show, the manager is also particularly arrogant and unhelpful. I have a food allergy, I was given the wrong food and in the place of an apology they insisted it was correct, the waiter and manager had conflicted versions of what happened both trying to cover for each other but literally just lying. What a disaster, I hope they get shut down for safety reasons, they are literally so dangerous for people with allergies especially.
Bonsai Tree is such an absolutely wonderful store for your Bonsai tree needs. They offer such excellent service, great products - with my first purchase they added samples of products I might want to try for my Bonsai and a handwritten thank you note, I will definitely be buying from them again and again. The delivery was quick, the parcel was so well packaged, I could go on and on.
I ordered a chair from this company which is based in Cape Town. They seem to be a small operation and so I enquired about shipping before making the order as I am based in Johannesburg and wanted to ensure there would be no issue getting my furniture delivered. After completion of my order (which they advised me of) I was stuck for weeks trying to get them to send me dimensions so I could organise my own courier (during this time I was met with rudeness, unaswered calls and messages and outright lies - I never got the dimensions). I had to threaten legal action before they took me seriously, and then they took the chair to a courier I imagine they normally work with, I was so desperate at this point just to have the chair sent to me I paid an exorbitant amount (basically the same amount as the furniture itself) for shipping. I was actually able to get a quote after all that for how much a courier would have cost (one which I had used previously) and I found that it would have cost less than half the price I paid. I will never deal with these people again, they are unprofessional and dismissive and outright unethical, and buying from them actually cost me a lot more money than anyone should pay. Deal with them at your own risk - 100% not worth it, find a different carpenter - this review doesn't get into all the details of the hell they put me through.
I used Red Truck Transport for my move and I was incredibly disappointed. The service from the administrative side was okay at best, however I dealt with the rudest most aggressive driver. The driver and helpers were moving my things when I asked them to be careful with a particular item as I was worried it was getting damaged the way they were handling it (it did get damaged exactly as I thought it would) and he just immediately started screaming at me and hurling insults and name calling me telling me he knows what he is doing, he said the worst things to me and ended up not finishing the job as required - this Truck service employs terrible staff who don't care for your things and are truly so violently rude and unprofessional - I would never use them again - what a nightmare.
Virgin Active is a scammer, their staff do not give a sh**, they are dismissive outright liars and only care to sign you up so they can take your money. The promos are a lie, instead of 2 months free as they advertise they might only give you 1 month free, that's what they did to me and then lied about their promo said even though it was clear on the contract I signed with them when they were meant to start debiting my account - they started debiting me a month before the agreed date. I tried to freeze my account on several occasions on email and over the phone and they continued to debit my account for the time. I have been trying to resolve the issue for months on end now and have been sent around from one person to the next, no one to resolve anything - they just become unresponsive - an actual nightmare to deal with - there seems to be no internal recourse - just all scamming without providing actual assistance - actual thugs. I was incorrectly debited on several occasions and no one has even tried to really assist me after endless emails and calls and half promises to respond to my emails.
