I Ordered RAM from Amazon.co.za. The package took about 2 weeks to arrive. When I received the package and opened it, I only got two Christmas Cards. This is obviously not what I ordered so I booked a return. Now I have to personally return the package to the seller on my own expense just to get a refund. The seller is far and I can courier but I don't see why I have to cover the cost of someone else's mistake. I would not recommend buying from Amazon.co.za. Takealot has much better service and they handle return a lot better.
MTN is a ****. When you load airtime, it disappears in a few minutes. When you try to buy data with your airtime, it doesn't work. They randomly change contract prices and support is terrible. Melon mobile is expensive, but it seems to be the only mobile data provider in SA with some credibility.
Service here is terrible. Some of the collection staff is kind of nice, but overall the service here is just bad. I always wait hours for a response, when I collect the stock is never ready and it seems like no one knows what's going on. I deal with Esquire and Syntech on a daily basis and they both have much better and quicker customer service.
Quick service, quick activation, 100% uptime and internet speed is usually 2-3 times faster than expected. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
I am so frustrated with webafrica, from day one the internet was giving issues. Sometimes it's low speeds, sometimes it's just down for a few hours or even days. Eventually I cancelled my subscription in November 2024 via the online chat. They confirmed that it will be cancelled December 30th. I then switched to Level-7, which is Fantastic BTW. Got great speed from day one with Level 7 and 100% uptime with no issues. Then I realised Webafrica was still deducting from my Acc in January and February 2025, months after I cancelled. After trying to rectify this via the online chat and WhatsApp, I eventually gave up. Everyone says they will get back to you, but they never do and when I try to follow up I need to complete a full conversation with a bot just to eventually be ignored by an agent. I ended up cancelling the debit order with my bank, now I get messages and even phone calls telling me I owe Webafrica. When I respond and explain everything again, they just say they will get back to me and then they never do. I just receive more messages claiming that I owe them money. This is ridiculous, by far the worst service I have ever received.
Ordered 2x Galvanized Shelves. One was fine but the other one came incomplete. It doesnt have all the required components to build the shelf so now it's basically useless. I tried contacting support but they don't respond to emails and their phones are always "busy".
Out of all the banks in SA, I think Capitec is the best.
Vodacom Fibre is terrible. Outages early mornings almost every day.
