Placed an order, received a call to confirm my purchase, then got an email with my tracking number so thought everything was good. Went to track my order to find that it had been cancelled. I had to call in only to find out The North Face jacket "was so badly damaged" and the couldn't find a replacement so I'll just get my money back. Not a great buying experience and therefore I wouldn't recommend them.
Never thought I'd be bragging about my insurance company, but here we are. King Price didn't just lower my premium AND reduce my excess (plot twist!), they made me feel like I'd stumbled into some alternate universe where insurance companies actually work FOR you. I was so impressed that I decided to add household content coverage, fully expecting them to say 'Gotcha!' and jack up the price. Instead, they handed me a deal so sweet my dentist would disapprove. It's like they're running a 'pay less, get more' promotion that nobody told the other insurance companies about. If saving money were an Olympic sport, King Price would be my personal trainer. Five stars, and I'm actually looking around my house wondering what else I can insure with these people!
I took a SIM card with Vodacom in Feb 2024 for only R155. Vodacom calls me every 2 months or so to “upgrade” my SIM card package. Every time I tell them I do not want to upgrade unless I get a device with the package. And then I get told “sorry you don’t meet the criteria to get a device” I then request what the criteria is. And nobody can give me an answer. My credit profile is good, above average, I have asset finance with MCF and ABSA but I don’t meet Vodacom’s “criteria” I guess it’s because of the color of my skin. ************** is what it is. If Vodacom cannot provide me with the “criteria” in writing I will get the consumer ombudsman involved and take this case to the press. Vodacom is happy to run enquiry after enquiry on my credit profile and declining me with no reason other than I don’t meet the criteria. What is the Criteria Vodacom?
Constantly being sent in circles. My ID number is linked to a profile that doesn't belong to me on the OLD LEGACY system, no matter who I call, customer care, accounts, legal, collections, retention department nobody can tell me what the hell is going on??? I will be opening a complaint with the consumer ombudsman if I don't get feedback on this matter today!!
Rubicon Krugersdorp West, with Chris and Nick are a bunch of insurance *****sters! They are ******! We took our Renault Kwid there for repairs. They quoted us R43k to replace two doors. After they had received the R43K from OutSurance they held out car ransom and claimed another R4.7K. They received R47k+ and then only released our car. Upon inspecting our car we realised that they did not replace the two doors, but rather repaired them with body putty and put them back on the car. When we confronted them about this they insisted they had replaced the doors even though they could NOT show us the old doors. We will be getting reports from other repairers within the SAMBRA community and we will be sharing all our findings with OutSurance. Beware of this place!
A few months ago I opened a Prestige Account with Std Bank and was very excited to establish a long-term relationship with the bank. However, my excitement was short-lived. I was assigned a banker by the name of Susan Bapela and was advised if I need anything not to go to the branch but rather speak to Susan. So I app**** for a credit card through Susan, who was very eager to assist me over the phone, after going through the application process with her she advised me that I had been approved for a set amount and even discussed the interest rate with me, after agreeing to everything I listened to a bunch of T&C's. Finally the call was done and Susan said she will email me my copy of the contract. After not receiving my copy I followed up multiple times. Finally when Susan got back to me she advised me that the process has indeed not yet been completed and that another gentleman will call me, got the call from the second gentleman only to be told I have been declined. When I questioned why I was initially approved and then suddenly declined I was given vague answers. I figured that there might be some negative listings on my credit profile, which I then got removed. 2 months went by and I decided let me try again, this time with the condition that Susan run my credit beforehand in order to avoid any complications. Susan again eagerly called me and said that we have to complete the process before she can do a credit vetting, to which I asked her if this call we were on would draw a final conclusion or whether again someone else would have to complete the process. Susan said "today the call will be completed by me and that I would get the final answer from her on the call" Again we proceeded with the application, again I was approved and discussed the interest rate along with the T's & C's. Again I was told that I would receive my copy of the contract via email. And Guess what? Pretty much identical to the previous time she GHOSTS me, I follow up regarding the contract, no answer. I then escilated the matter to her direct line Manager Eugene van der Linde. to which I finally got a response that its been held up because they don't have the documents they need to complete the process (all documents were submitted to Susan prior to starting the 2de application) I requested clarification on why this is happening again and that's when Eugene started asking really stupid questions, like "yeah we just want to know why you bank with ABSA and applying at Standard Bank for a Credit Card" and "when you opened the account did you do fingerprint verification" like he is wanting to accuse me of something. After again submitting all the documents they requested he again calls me and asks mundane questions that have nothing to do related to the credit card application. After continually requesting that communications continue through email (so I have record of everything said) Eugene and Susan again continually tries calling me in order to "discuss" the matter more and refusing to do it over email. I finally got fed up and sent my notice for closure of the account and again Eugene tried calling me followed by Susan. Susan then proceeded to send me 3 nasty emails and then recalled the emails. I want to know who gave Standard Bank employees jurisdiction to question whom I bank with and vindicating me to be some ****mer or ********.. Eugene was constantly on a mission to "catch me on a lie" but couldn't. I will relay all the questions he asked me over a phone call with his superior. And when I questioned who gave him permission to ask these questions he calls me back and says "its normal questions we ask all our clients" but refuses to put the conversation on Email. Same with Susan, she emails me "I am trying to call you in order to help you close the account" I respond and ask her to keep it on email and again she doesn't respond. Anyways, if Standard Bank uses my information any further in any way shape or form I will claim Popia Act as this is the second written notice to stop sharing my information.
The rudest bunch of people you will ever come accross. Be extremely careful when dealing with Carina Mandelstam she will belittle you on your past whe you try and fix it. And when you say you are going to complain "she says I've been working here 17 years" so go ahead. As if she is untouchable. When you complain to the ownere J.H Reedlinghuis aka Pieter he doesn't even respond because he is a lawyer with a law firm and is above the law.. This place should be shut down and his rights to practice should be revoked.. Not a single good comment to be found on any platform
Awesome Bank, lines are sometimes long, and ATM’s are scarce. But excellent Bank.
