One must be totally insane to get your car fixed by Rubicon Krugersdorp. For the second time in 3 years they messed up the electronics of the car. When the vehicle is 'fixed' and ready for collection nothing works: central door locking failure, indicators not working, dashboard lights are a Christmas tree. It takes so far nearly 6 months to fix. For such a large auto body repair, they don't even have an auto electrician on board. The finishing is bad, very bad, using second hand or generic parts (the miror is badly assembled making a horrible sound when driving, had to put silicone in the gab to get rid of the loud sound). The computer box was messed up, they put a second hand in and that one went bonkers as one cannot just put a box in from another vehicle without properly programming it. So we went to Ford ourselves for a diagnostic where obviously they had the same conclusion as I have (I am an eletronics engineer). Then they got another computer box, for a petrol vehicle, not a diesel and it goes on and on for months. I don't even understand why Outsurance still wants to deal with these clowns. Oh, and then one of the manager passed away, they had no (and I mean NO) idea what is going on adding another two months to the circus. And meantime we found out that we are not the only clients with complaints having electronic issues after a repair (actually busy collecting all the complaints from other people and will reveal it to the world). Outsurance, I know it work on your hips too now dealing with Rubicon but why oh why still deal with them??? Time to sack them please as your reputation is on the line too. Conclusion: Rubicon are panel beaters, not qualified mechanics or electronic specialist. If your client is important to you as you say, you don't let people phone every day (Nick aka NIKS) and never return a call and when we get hold of NIKS we only hear lie after lie after lie. I will never put a foot in that amateur garage again, even willing to change insurance to avoid working with a circus like this!

Rubicon Krugersdorp West, with Chris and Nick are a bunch of insurance *****sters! They are ******! We took our Renault Kwid there for repairs. They quoted us R43k to replace two doors. After they had received the R43K from OutSurance they held out car ransom and claimed another R4.7K. They received R47k+ and then only released our car. Upon inspecting our car we realised that they did not replace the two doors, but rather repaired them with body putty and put them back on the car. When we confronted them about this they insisted they had replaced the doors even though they could NOT show us the old doors. We will be getting reports from other repairers within the SAMBRA community and we will be sharing all our findings with OutSurance. Beware of this place!

Great Great Amazing service from the Team at Rubicon Panelbeaters in Krugersdorp. I had a smash on my bumper in July. Claimed with my insurance and chose them to fix as they are closer to me. They did an amazing job on the car. The staff was very friendly! All of them. From the reception. To the assessor and the guy who worked on my car. I appreciate the amazing service. And I was updated all the time with their service.

From the day of the accident, I was contacted to collect the vehicle to repair it. When I informed Chris that the AirBags popped, he said the car will be written off. I explained that I will first inspect the vehicle myself (35 years experience on accident related incidents and repair procedures). I arranged with a reputable company to replace the Air Bags and Seat Belt Storking devices. This was done at a reasonable price. I overinspected the work and it was done very professionally (would not say it was in an accident). The windscreen was replaced and two tie-rods were replaced. Although I drove the car, testing it, it was pulling straight and did not indicate any deviations, I took the car for a Wheel-Alignment report and it was reported that the RH camber is out with -00.94 and the caster +08.69, just slighly out of range. After the repairs with a proper inspection on the parts that were damaged, I found many components that i.e. sensors etc. which only needs to be removed and installed on the replaced parts. Some parts, were in an excellent condition and did not need replacement. On Santam's recommendation, my wife took the vehicle to Rubicon Panel Beaters for a quotation. I requested them to contact me when they receive the vehicle. I was telephonically told on the arrival of the vehicle that the car is a write-off. Looking at quotation, I found many parts quoted to be replaced although the usable parts were available in the vehicle. From my point of view the Quotaion is "loaded" to s**** the vehicle to recover it a good value (to be bid on). I noticed that they only quoted to replace all the parts instead of taking the effort to repair some e.g. the RH door which only requires panelbeating. It is easy to replace all parts instead of repairing it. 1. If you want to have your vehicle repaired, be CAUSIOUS as they want to s**** it. 2. They do not repair but only replace parts. They "LOAD" the quotation on purpose. 3. They are not prepared to come to site to provide a ON-SITE estimate.
