Once again, with this pathetic excuse for an organisation. After my last encounter with then whereby it too them a month to refund me my insurance claim money, I decided to buy out my vehicle and settle the account as I wanted nothing to do with them again. I settled my account on the 1st of April 2025. But I should have known and expected the incompetence again. On the 24th of April 2025 they debuted my account. I called in and after having to hold on for more than an hour, they finally answered but advised me that their refund turn around is between 7 to 14 days. I don’t have money laying around. I am the sole breadwinner in the house. So what, am I now expected to tell my family they can’t have food for the next 7 to 14 days? You are heartless, no wonder your company is in ruins. You have no morals nor any ethics. I can’t even now get to work cause I don’t have money left. They ********ly took my money and I am expected to wait till it suits them to refund me. They are so ****ed, they even block the banks from reversing the debit orders. Yet they can’t answer calls or respond to emails. 🤬😡😡😡😡😡🤬

I am utterly disgusted in the after service treatment from planet42. Quick to take your money but don’t give a **** afterwards. We had an incident on the 1st of February, our windscreen was completely shattered and we were on our way to Cape Town. With no visible and glass actively breaking as we drove, we had not option but to fix the glass out of pocket. This because their claims department doesn’t operate over weekends. Today is the 8th of February and we have still not been refunded our money. Several calls and emails which they just ignore. I regret ever signing up with them and I would rather return their vehicle as this is a one sided agreement whereby I am kept on my responsibility but they don’t. You are a disgrace as you advertise utter lies and don’t care about your clients.

This has been the worst experience ever. Guys please be careful when ordering from this APP. They are quick to take your money, but when you have a complaint you wait for days. I placed an order via the APP, 4 Pizzas would take an estimate 50minutes to arrive. Fine, we wait! As I am tracking the driver via the App and see him closing in on my house, I got up and walk to the gate. I actually heard the driver pull up to my gate with his motorbike, but he immediately took off again before I could reach my driveway. I got to the gate and called him, he picked up and pretended to not be able to hear me. I called again and told him to turn around and please just bring my food, my kids are hungry and its late. From there, he ignored all my calls and all my messages. He rather closed the call over the App stating it has been delivered. The Uber Eats app is so unfriendly, you have no way of getting in contact with anyone. All they say you need to do is report the matter via the App and they will get back to you. But I have had no response till now, almost 24hours later. So George, the driver, took off with my food. Had a good lovely meal on my expense and now his employer doesn't get back to me and there is nowhere a telephone number to reach out and get answers and get your money back. I will never uses Uber Eats app ever again. My hard earned money is no charity for their drivers. And at the least I would expect an email or sms confirming they have received my query and are looking into the matter. Just leaving your clients out to dry with no communication at all. Shame on you!!!
This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I placed an order on Mr D food. The driver never collected my order. Story on its own I took up with Mr D. But when I called the branch at Silver water crossing, they advised me that they are about to close shop. I pleaded with them to just wait 15minutes, I’ll collect the food myself. Even spoke to the manager and they refused. After several minutes of arguing with this selfish, ruthless *****, he (the manager) told me if gives me a ludicrous ultimatum stating if I’m not there in 15minutes they will leave. This is at no point my fault. He could have had a little more empathy regarding a paying customer that never got what they paid for. Instead he is more worried about the overtime he has to pay his staff. And he actually told me that he was going to start counting the time. Imagine that. Threatening me with my food I’ve paid for. They should really reconsider hiring staff that knows the meaning of customer service. In profession I also render a service and if the need arises I work overtime just to get the people paid and I don’t even om get paid overtime. But because I pride myself in what I do, I serve the clients with the utmost respect to get the job done. This is something Barcelos - Silverwater Crossing in Silverton lacks. I will never support that place ever again. You are not even worthy of the 1 Star I gave you.
