am extremely disappointed with the way First National Bank (FNB) has handled my claim relating to the collapse of STA Travel. On 9 December 2019, I paid a R3,000 deposit to STA Travel using my FNB credit card. Shortly afterwards, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and STA Travel ceased trading. Since then, the company has been completely uncontactable and I have never received any refund or voucher. Because the service I paid for was never delivered due to the company’s closure, I submitted a claim through my FNB credit card insurance, believing that this type of insurance is meant to protect consumers when a merchant becomes insolvent or stops trading. Unfortunately, FNB declined my claim, stating that STA Travel had supposedly communicated that vouchers would be issued. This has never happened, and to this day I have received no communication, refund, or voucher from STA Travel. I escalated the matter to the Ombudsman for Banking Services, hoping for a fair review, but my complaint was dismissed. It is extremely concerning that consumers who pay for credit card insurance appear to have no protection in situations where a company collapses and fails to provide the service paid for. I would appreciate if FNB could review this matter and provide a fair resolution, as I am simply trying to recover the R3,000 deposit for a service that was never delivered. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation with FNB credit card insurance claims?
Went for afternoon lunch and sundowners for Boxing Day with my sister. The ambience and scenery was amazing but the ****tails were absolutely horrible, I tried different one’s but that didn’t make much of a difference. I’m quite disappointed in how the staff handle customer complaints. The waiter just laughed it off and dismissed my disappointment. The manager didn’t do anything to rectify the situation and either.
I honestly regret ordering a device from FNB. They use Ram as their courier and I’m extremely frustrated with their customer service. It’s been two weeks and i still don’t have my package. Extremely poor service to say the least! No sense of urgency or regard for customers who are at their mercy.
Aramex doesn't give a damn! They lost my parcel and only said sorry without offering any compensation. I regret ever using them at all! Never again!!!! If you value your money and items, do yourself a favor and refrain from using this company.

I hired a vehicle from Woodford Car Hire on 4 August 2023. I received the vehicle two hours late which was extremely frustrating and caused a significant inconvenience. When I received it, I inspected it and called a staff member named Collen to note a few things, including a small windscreen chip that I had noticed before I left the premises. I specifically asked him to make note of the chip and he informed me that there was no need since it was smaller than the size of a 50c coin. Upon my return, the person who received the vehicle and did an inspection claimed that I was liable for the chip. Collen was there and we called him as I advised the person receiving the vehicle that I had pointed this out when I was receiving the vehicle. Collen did not dispute the fact that the car was handed over to me with the chip in front of his colleagues. I was then asked to complete an incident report, which I did where I indicated what happened. Collen did not dispute my assertions and his colleague even said they will probably squash the report since he did not deny in front of everyone there that the chip was indeed there before I received the vehicle. My deposit was withheld for a long period of time, close to three weeks while I was told they were investigating. No one from Woodford reached out to me as the client from the time I brought back the car up until my query, which was extremely frustrating. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue, the deposit was refunded back to my credit card and an amount of R1332.50 was then deducted from my account for the windscreen chip. Woodford didn't even bother to take into account that they needed to refund me for the two-hour delay in getting the car as I booked the vehicle for 10:30 and only received it at 12:26. This resulted in me and my partner being late for check in at the lodge where we were going to and we were charged R500 for it. I will never trust this company ever again and advise others to avoid booking through them.
I highly recommend Rabe's Moving Logistics. I've used them twice and honestly believe they are the best movers in town. It was my first time moving without having any item broken or damaged and the entire moving process from start to finish was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. I highly recommend this service to anyone who's keen on a stress-free moving experience!
Vumatel has ruined my entire long weekend. I’ve never been so desperate for Wi-Fi, they take long to respond to calls logged by metro fiber agents, even when it’s escalated. Very bad service. My urgent activation request from yesterday morning is still not resolved.
Extremely disappointed with the service I’m getting from vumatel/ webafrica. You will wait for hours just to speak to an agent. I’ve never waited this long to get Wi-Fi activated meanwhile there is already a router installed. Disappointing to say the least. I’ve spent so much money on data and I’m just defeated.
If you want peace of mind and value your money, do not, I repeat, DO NOT rent from any apartment that uses Fungi utilities! I moved out end of May and still haven't received my refund for the deposit I had to pay when I moved in at Olivewood Village South! The ridiculous charges that don't make sense are the main reason I moved out. Daylight *******!!!!!!
