I submitted a review for a red velvet dress i purchased 2 months ago. I later discovered that my review was used to enhance the description of the dress that previously was very vague and basic. Some of my mentions of size running small was copied and used in the product’s description without my permission. When I contacted Takealot multiple times, the responses ranged from “it’s the supplier’s responsibility to do description" to promises of escalation to the catalog department — but no action was taken. It feels as if the “write a review and stand a chance to win R1000” campaign was just a way to get customers to do the work of improving vague product descriptions. This is not acceptable. Customers share their honest experiences in good faith, not to have their words repurposed as marketing material. I’m leaving this review so others are aware of how my feedback was misused and how the issue has been handled. In future Dear customers, take screen shots of descriptions and see how it changes when you post a detailed positive review of the product.
Withholding of a paid package constitutes *****/theft. Many calls logged. Emailed numerous times. No reply. “An agent will get in touch with you within 24 hours”. Msgs received after contacting 10 times. Been 30 days. No one contacts me. It’s time to take legal action against Buffalo International.
This owner is living in the wrong country. Deport him to the country where he belongs. He definitely does not belong in South Africa.
I ordered my daughter a gift from Netflorist on her birthday well in advance to make sure it gets delivered to her work to brighten her day and make it more special. On the morning a person by the name of Zelda called me in connection of a vase to inform me they did not have stock. I settled for another vase. I explained to her my daughter will only be at work till noon. She promised the gift will be delivered by noon. My daughter waited for this gift for 6 and a half hours after noon then left work just before sunset. The gift arrived after she had left work at 18h35. I told receptionist not to accept it. The card clearly stated it's a birthday gift. Now I was informed I am to pay a 15% handeling fee plus a delivery fee. I tried to call the Call Centre. It is advertised their working hours are 8 to 12 on a weekend. At 11 am exactly, they are already closed. Netflorist driver said he only started working at 15h00. When we order gifts we expect it to be delivered while the sun is still up. If I could give Netflorist zero stars for spoiling my daughter's special day I would.
Excellent service from P.J. at the Caledon Capitec branch. He went way beyond his duty to assist my husband and I with FICA and providing us with documents we needed to confirm our bank accounts. He is extremely friendly and even though I do not live in Caledon I would definitely drive there should I need assistance again.
My family member walked in unaided after his GP referred him to emergency. 7 hours later we basically carried him out because his condition deteriorated during that time period while he was waiting to be seen. We had to seek help elsewhere where he was triaged immediately at Orange. Be prepared to wait at least 2 and a half hours to be triaged on arrival at Victoria. Then count at least 4 hours from there to be seen. Yes there are often other emergencies that that will set you back and extend your waiting period and that is understandable. But no one keeps an eye on you as your condition deteriorates with no re-triage. You can die there as you sit quietly waiting in a corner to be seen.
More than a month ago in ordered 2 items. 1 is a Taurus roaster. The other is a Tempo Slow Cooker. I received the Roaster but not the Slow cooker. After numerous calls and emails this matter has still not been resolved. I have been told by the agents they are investigating numerous times. That does not help me. How long can it take to investigate if I provided all the evidence that only 1 item was delivered? The lady at the Pargo Depot at Clicks is my witness that only 1 box with 1 item was delivered. The package the box was wrapped in Clearly stated "1 of 1 item." I sent Yagendri Maduray Customer Service Consultant a photo of the packaging after she, ( who was 1 of the numerous agents I dealt with.) once again told hy her they are busy with ' investigations. ' Their investigations are not my problem. I have provided all the evidence that I did not receive the product. Yet it still reflects on my account. I do not believe that the problem lies with Pargo either. The label on the box said "1 of 1". Now, there is absolute silence. I am so done with Boardmans. Or shall I say Edgars. This happened to me a year ago too whereby I missed some towels that were short delivered. I gave up. It just took too much of my time to fight for a missing towel. I needed this Slow Cooker for xmas so I went out to buy me one. Mrs C Domingo
My daughter was issued a fine of R2k for stopping on the pedestrian crossing in Pinelands by Officer Hare. She did not jump the red traffic light. There was no obstruction of traffic. ( Although this is what the ticket stated.) My daughter looks very young and this officer treated her like she was a child. (I think my daughter has her licence longer than he has his.) He imp**** she did not have a license. When she produced her license he asked her "WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO NOW?". He was extremely disrespectful towards her. We feel this was an abuse of his authority. His behavior was unacceptable. Does stopping on a pedestrian crossing warrant a R2k fine? Or is it because my daughter told him to do what he needs to do so she can get to the hospital where she works? He deliberately tried to delay her. Officer Hare is in desperate need of training on how to speak and address the public. After all, he is a public servant. My daughter wrote a formal letter to the manager of the Traffic department to inform him of the disrespectful and unprofessional way Officer Hare behaved. She got a call from the Traffic department to tell her the officer was not rude but they will call him in to chat to him. Why call him in they believe the officer was not rude. They could not tell my daughter why her fine was so high. I think Officer Hare victimised and bul**** her after she stood up for herself. She did not deny she committed an offence by stopping on the pedestrian crossing. But he was rude and she was not going to allow him to bully her. He gives every Traffic Officer out there a bad name. He should ask someone to explain "Batho Pele" to him. My daughter is also a public servant but she treats every person she meets with respect. Young or old.
Wonderfully service from Thembi Kulu. She couldn't resolve the problem I have but went out of her way to assist me before escalating the matter. What impressed me most was how friendly she was and how she went the extra mile for me. She is pleasant and approachable. A ray of sunshine. She speaks to everyone with respect. Which is more than I can say of the person who assisted me before she came along. You need more people like Thembi in Gov.
I was called by a lady pretending to be from MTN. She offered me an upgrade on my package which was slightly cheaper and data is now supposed to be anytime data. I accepted the package only now to learn from MTN that this contract was done by an outsourced company. The amount of data is now less than what was offered to me. I called MTN who reffered me to Mobile Plus. I called Mobile Plus who said they have no record of me. Yet I have a new contract with MTN and it is not what was agreed upon. MTN will not take responsibility, yet they shared my details with a 3rd party. I have not given them permission to do so. I have made numerous calls to both companies and my query is supposedly being escalated. Still, nothing. My next move will be to inform the CEO of both companies and then the consumer protection act. Mtn can no longer be trusted and i wish to sever all ties with MTN after 20 years.
