I lodged a complaint with MIOSA in May 2025 regarding a dispute with Avis Car Rental (Case Ref: 506325). I have submitted all supporting evidence, including inspection reports, all emails etc. Despite several follow-ups and MIOSA’s own acknowledgment that the case was under review, I have not received any formal ruling or written update. I am being harassed by Avis, I have been handed over to lawyers and all my phone calls, emails etc to and with MIOSA just fall onto def ears? Contact persons: K BRAND - SENIOR CASE MANAGER & DINTLE SINGO (CASE MANAGER ASSISTANT). It has now been 9 months since I first reported this matter? How is this even possible according to The Consumer Protection Act No 68 of 2008, this should have been finalized months ago???? As a consumer, I have cooperated fully and provided all documents requested. However, this prolonged silence from MIOSA has caused unnecessary frustration and loss of trust in a process meant to protect consumers. I am now going to take this matter further to the National Consumer Commission and the National Consumer Tribunal. Good day This was my review in June 2024 about Avis: "AVIS - ABSOLUTE *****STERS! Good day As for all the other thousands of people complaining about Avis - ZENITH CAR HIRE (AVIS) RENTAL AGREEMENT: **********04 Avis now still owes me R2000 on RENTAL AGREEMENT **********04. They did not respond to any of my queries re: video footage of the day that I collected the vehicle. NO inspection was done on any of the door handles when I returned this vehicle, but I get charged for a “lose” door handle!!!!!! They could have come up with anything lousy!!! Still……no Pre-inspection REPORT and no POST-INSPECTION REPORT was given to me?? Instead, a few lousy pictures where you can hardly see anything. I am now being harassed by their Accounts Dept - threatening me for a Legal handover etc.......(***********) I am going to sue them for malpractice, no communication and harassment!!! Can you just imagine how many tourists are being targeted for the same old story.....not paying deposits back to clients and adding "damages" after the vehicle is being returned!!!! This is a joke!!" Guess what? After being promised on Hellopeter that this matter is being investigated and somebody will get in contact with me? Zero response whatsoever......instead, I am constantly being harassed like today: "Promo: Settle your account before 15 Sept 2024 to receive a whopping 30% discount. SHOCKING AFTER SALES SERVICE – GAME HICENSE SA – NO AFTER SALES SERVICE AT ALL!! Good day Hicense / Game (Retail Park, East London) CONTACT PERSON @ GAME: LINDSAY (MANAGER) Once again. Mrs HM CLAASSEN – EAST LONDON – GONUBIE – SA. After endless emails with no replies, I luckily came along just a FEW of all the complaints regarding Hicense SA. Yet, another email to me to book another REPAIR on my faulty HICENSE FRIDGE. I am without a fridge since 24 November 2022. I told Game and Hicense my husband died on 19 June 2022 – I do not have the MONEY NOW to buy another fridge to help me till Game and Hicense can sort out my problem!! Still, no service. I am not going to book another technician visit….never ever!!! I have had enough – long ago already! I will probably NOT GET ANY RESPONSE on this email again….so here is my plan of action…… 1. HALLO PETER .COM 2. FB PAGE – EAST LONDON GIRLS – 24 000 ACTIVE MEMBERS 3. CONSUMER OMBUDSMAN 4. COURT FOR SMALL CLAIMS – not only for my fridge to be refunded. I can claim up to R25 000, so I am going to claim for all the goods I have lost and also for TRAUMA and no SERVICE!! 5. Will borrow money from my son for a small new fridge in the meantime. what a loser company!!! Your customer skills stinks!!! I am not in arrears at all....yet getting phone calls from 7h00 in the morning till 8h00 in the evening.....courtasy call to find out when....how much....will my next payment be........Are you really so desperate.......my next post will be to the Ombudsman........you are overstepping each and every boundary of harassments!!! Sies.....regret every singly second I did business with you!!!!
Good day, can Telkom please ask somebody from their Technical Team to start communicating with me???? Today is the 12th day without Telkom Call Line as well as ADSL. I have NO idea when this is going to be restored? I am not living in the mountains - I am in a normal suburb!! Please!!! I am also paying for a service that is Non-existant??? Really....how much longer. Useless to go to the Telkom Offices - they never phone back as they promise....Who else must I contact? Is there an area manager in the Eastern Cape??? I reported my ADSL and Home Telephone Line on Thursday, 7 May 2015 as being faulty. My Fault Reference is: 5CEK080515. So far No Response from Telkom other than recognition sms for fault reporting. I went to the Telkom Shop at Hemingways Mall yesterday to report the problem again. Still NO RESPONSE from Telkom. How long do I have to wait to get an update on what is happening. I am without any internet connection and telephone line for almost a week now - can you please try and give us some service in EAST LONDON? Communication Channels on 10210 number is useless!!!
Dillion from Let me Repair phoned me today with regards to my missing laptop. He suggested a solution to my problem and apologized for all the inconvenience that I have experienced. He was very friendly and hopefully this very bad experience will have a happy ending. Thank you.
My laptop was in for repairs at Let me Repair (George). On Monday, 16 March 2015 the device was dispatched in George - back to East London. Yesterday I phoned to track the status of my laptop, only to be told the laptop has been lost??? Lost by EWC Couriers somewhere between George and East London??? How does this happen??? I spoke to the owner, Benita, she apologized and said they will keep looking for my laptop but she thinks it has been lost.....I really do not understand this - how can you trust a courier company like this???
