Makro are selling ******* gas appliances that on not registered for use in SA and puts peoples lives in danger. The Product Winning Star gas hob is sold on line by them.
Had a very bad experience with Vorna Valley Pizza Perfect. I got uncooked pizza about a year ago so stopped using them. Would rather use the other ones around us. Last Sunday I decided to give them another try. Ordered 5 pizzas for delivery. Ordered before 8 and they close at 9. Promised they would deliver about 30 minutes. The delivery finally arrived just before 09 00. It was ice cold, the Avocado on the one had gone brown and shriveled up. Tried phoning them but they had closed. Contacted manager the next day and was promised they would look into it and let me know what happened. Now more than a week later they have not bothered to get back to me. Will never use them again.
I recently had a ***** case against my Credit Card. It wa shacked via the Standard Bank system. While I was at the bank reporting 3 other people also wanted to report it. I received a claim number and for about 3 weeks I received a regular update that they were investigating it. The updates stopped about 6 weeks ago and have heard nothing from them. Trying to call the ***** line is impossible unless you have 45 minutes plus to waist. They do not have the decency to answer emails either.
Yesterday I bought what is supposed to be a brand new Defy stove from Makro. It was in the packaging and shrink wrap and looked good. When I opened it the first thing I noticed was that al the blue sticky protective wrapping had been removed. Definitely a sign of not being brand new. Then I looked for the Jets for Natural gas and the hose fitting. They were not there. The Shelves inside were not packed with Polystyrene so as not to slide when moved in transit. This is such a breech of customer service and rights It is disgusting. When I went to try get the Natural gas jest from Makro I was given such a run around . I am a gas installer and my customer wanted the stove fitted urgently so finally got them to give me a set from another stove. They totally deny that it could have been a used stove packed as new. Having been in the gas installation business I recognized this all immediately. Been installing gas stoves including Defy and do know that this customer was **********. What are you going to do about it. I had to go ahead with the installation because it was urgent but now she sits with a second hand stove charged as a new one.

Bought a Chev Utility from them and from the beginning it has given me problems. They promise to fix them and when I took the car in it comes out exactly the same. Was supposed to have a predelivery service which was never done and just received a worthless report. There are so many faults with it and more every day. These are all things that you do not know about when buying a car but go wrong soon after it has been used for a few months. Other faults were hidden and others were reported and they did not fix.
Ordered an item and was promised delivery in 7 days. After 21 days i cancelled the order and had my money returned. 7 days after cancellation the item was delivered. It was left at our security gate. Contacted them via email to come collect the item as I did not want it anymore. 1 month later they have not contacted me back nor collected the item. No one has any decency to ever answer email not to answer phone calls.
I have a 40gig contract and every month i only use about 20gig. Last month the 40gig was depleted before the 20th. I have been fighting with Telkom and not received any honest response. All I get is a auto reply saying there is no unusual activity, After about 10 emails i got a human response Then I am told even if they did find unusual activity they would not refund any data anyway. They told me to monitor use carefully this month which I did. On Friday I still had 20gig left. On Sunday I am suddenly out of Data. The ladies at the telkom shop were a great help and showed me where there was no internet activity but data was used. The lady at the online chat sent me an excel spread sheet showing unusual data use. But the useless Technical support cannot see anything.
I am disgusted with We Fix. I Was conned with pricing and phone was not fixed properly. I went to the Mall of Africa and the service was disgusting and the manager refused to speak to me
