I unfortunately cannot recommend LFA Auto due to an extremely unprofessional and misleading situation. We test drove a Jaguar F-Pace which we were told was priced at R315,000. The reason it was a bit cheaper than others with it's specs is because it had undergone a full engine replacement—a major red flag with no clear explanation provided. We double-checked and confirmed the price multiple times—R315,000—with the sales representative, who assured us repeatedly that this was the correct amount because of the work they had done on the car. The engine was replaced in March, and the car is still sitting there now in December. Despite our concerns, we proposed R300,000 with a R60,000 deposit, leaving R240,000 for financing, which was accepted and the dealership helped us submit everything to their CFC financing partner. Our application was approved without any issues. While we were still weighing our concerns about the car’s history, we decided a few days later to proceed with the purchase. We contacted the sales representative to confirm. Then the unprofessionalism began: He avoided all of our calls over the entire weekend. When we escalated to management, they claimed the car was actually R350,000 and blamed us for “misunderstanding" the cost. This is blatantly untrue—the price was clear from the start. Even confirmed via emails and through financing. This ordeal has been an absolute waste of our time. Due to their unprofessional conduct, we missed out on other cars that were within our budget. It’s deeply concerning that a dealership would: 1. Provide misleading information about the car’s pricing. 2. Fail to explain clearly why such a significant repair (engine replacement) was required. 3. Refuse to take responsibility and instead try to cover their tracks with false claims. The unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and lack of transparency have been a complete waste of our time. I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this dealership after this misleading ordeal.
Retail Capital is absolutely unbelievable! As a small business owner, I took a cash advance via Yoco and have been paying it off as needed, despite having to put my business on hold due to having to find a new premises for our Cafe. In July this year, I tried repeatedly to get in touch with Retail Capital, asking for their banking details so I could make EFT payments and continue paying off my loan. They NEVER responded – not a single reply, just an automated message acknowledging they received my emails. Despite me reaching out numerous times after this, asking for my statement and bank account details, they ignored me! NOTHING. No response, no details, absolutely nothing from their side. Now, to add insult to injury, I’ve received a letter of demand today, telling me I need to pay the full amount within five days, and they’ve made mention of this as a default! AND AGAIN - How am I supposed to pay when they haven't given me the banking details, even within the letter of demand?! This is complete madness and beyond frustrating! Retail Capital’s lack of communication is unacceptable, and their failure to provide basic information is appalling. If you’re a small business looking for a loan, I would personally AVOID Retail Capital at all costs—this is how they treat you!
I am so extremely disappointed with Takealot. I placed an order two Sundays ago and paid in full. The items were meant to be delivered last week Thursday but there were delays - none of which was communicated with me. I had to keep contacting Takealot to see what was going on. I urgently needed the items by last week Thursday. Finally, I get a message that the items would be delivered today. I specifically did not leave my home the entire day today because of this delivery. However, when someone arrived, only 1/3 of my order got delivered (an ottoman), but I am missing the other two items (one being an expensive power station). The order says that those items were all delivered to me and signed for by me - I HAVE NOT SIGNED FOR ANYTHING, AND THOSE ITEMS HAVE NOT BEEN DELIVERED TO ME!!!!
I am absolutely disgusted by how I got treated at Sun City on my honeymoon this past week. Phumla, the lady who works down at Waterworld, acted so inappropriately aggressive towards me followed by physically punching my phone out of my hand, in front of my 4 year old son, who was left petrified. Phumla was so rude and snappy at the till. When I got frustrated at her demeanour, she raised her voice and was screaming at me, and swearing in front of my 4 year old son. Then she got verbally abusive, and then when I took out my phone to record her behavior to show management as it was absolutely appalling, , she physically assaulted me by punching my phone out of my hand. I stopped recording due to fear but she continued to scream and try get physical with me. We had just got married on the Saturday and we took our kids to Sun City to celebrate - as a family honeymoon. What a way to ruin a very special week for us! My 4 year old was petrified. He's never seen anyone getting violent like that, and it's so unacceptable that he saw this.
<div>I tried to order an item on their special on Sunday (the last day of the promotion). For some reason every time I tried to check out, an error message would pop up and it wouldn't go through. The following day, the product had increased from R2610 to R2900. I contacted the company via their WhatsApp line the following day explaining the situation, and sending pictures/screenshots showing proof that I had tried to purchase the item during the promo the day prior - it even showed the date and time that I tried to make the purchase. The person was so aggressively rude, insinuating that I was lying about an error. Basically telling me in their own words tough luck, the promo ended a day ago. The way they talk to their customers is appalling. I have gone ahead and decided to get the item from another supplier who was more expensive just because of the disgusting attitude. And it is a shame too, because we own kids party businesses and kids play cafes - so we were testing out a small item first to see service/quality. We were about to make a huge order that would have been valued over around R150000+ for the amount of stock that we need.</div>
Always an amazing dining experience at home Espresso. The food is incredible - my favourite is the cubed rump peri-peri. Lovely place!
Incredible quality beds! So impressed with the Jeep bed that they made for my son's birthday present. He was ecstatic. And super impressed with the turnaround time. Duran went out of his way to make sure it was delivered in time to surprise my boy.
Makro SA still owes me a refund of R4422 and for 7 weeks I have STRUGGLED to get this sorted out and refunded. You can't get through to anyone who knows what's going on over the phone, even though I have called numerous times I just get told by the person on the line that they can't do anything, all they can do is escalate the matter. I have emailed over 30 times and all you get is a general response saying that they are following up on the query. This is *****. SO unacceptable. I am paying so much in interest on my credit card for this, so not only am I out of R4422 but also paying hundreds of rands in interest on this amount. Customer service is so cheeky and rude. They said "I'm not going to answer your questions over and over again" and literally laugh at you. Be very, very, very careful of ordering through Makro online.
