As a graduate of North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, I find it deeply disappointing and embarrassing that I have had to resort to this platform to obtain assistance with retrieving my younger sister’s module or course outline. I have been repeatedly referred to a yearbook, which does not meet the required purpose, as she needs the detailed module information in order to transfer to another institution. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, it appears that no one fully understands the nature of my request. Consequently, I am unable to apply for credit recognition on her behalf, which is preventing her from continuing with her studies.
What is going on with Marara Pharmacy? I sent the prescription for my sister who is asthmatic a long time ago and to date nothing has been done. The Dr also sent the prescription long ago. The only time you seem to respond is when a complaint is lodged on HelloPeter. This is extremely frustrating and shows a complete lack of respect for patients. Delays like this put people on chronic medication at serious risk. Your poor service and lack of urgency are unacceptable. I would like a clear explanation as to why this matter has been ignored for so long and when it will finally be resolved.
I am writing to lodge an escalated and formal complaint regarding the unacceptable and negligent handling of my grandmother’s chronic medication by your delivery service. This incident is extremely serious and has placed an elderly, chronically ill patient at medical risk. In the most recent delivery, medication that requires immediate refrigeration, including diabetes medication, was delivered to an unrelated local ****a shop without our knowledge or consent. We were only contacted three weeks later by the shop owner, who indicated that the medication had been sitting there while attempting to locate the intended recipient. During this period: • The medication was not refrigerated as required. • My grandmother ran out of essential chronic medication. • The medication is now unsafe, unusable, and medically compromised. This incident raises extremely serious concerns, including: 1. Patient Safety: The failure to deliver temperature-sensitive medication correctly resulted in an elderly patient being without life-sustaining medication and receiving medication that is no longer safe for use. 2. Patient Confidentiality and Privacy: Delivering medication to a random third party is a gross breach of patient confidentiality. Medication packaging contains identifiable patient information, and leaving it at an unrelated business exposes sensitive health information to unauthorised individuals. 3. Negligence and Trust: It is entirely unreasonable to expect a patient to trust or use medication that has been left unattended at a random location for weeks, with no assurance regarding storage conditions or handling. I require the following with immediate effect: • A full written explanation of how this delivery failure and confidentiality breach occurred. • Immediate replacement of all affected medication. • Written confirmation of corrective and disciplinary measures taken to prevent recurrence. • Escalation of this matter to senior management and quality assurance. It is deeply concerning that a courier entrusted with delivering chronic medication could leave medication at an unrelated shop for weeks. This conduct falls far below acceptable standards of care, professionalism, and patient safety. Please treat this matter as urgent. I expect a written response within 48 hours.
Dear Marara Pharmacy Customer Care Team, I am writing to lodge an escalated and formal complaint regarding the continued and unacceptable handling of my grandmother’s chronic medication. This is not an isolated incident. I have submitted numerous complaints over several years regarding your pharmacy’s failure to deliver medication correctly and timeously. Despite repeated complaints, the same issues continue to occur, placing vulnerable patients at serious risk. In the most recent incident, medication that requires immediate refrigeration, including diabetes medication, was wrongly delivered to a random local shop without our knowledge or consent. We were only contacted three weeks later by that shop. During this period: • The medication was not refrigerated. • My grandmother ran out of essential medication. • The medication is now unsafe and unusable. This raises extremely serious concerns, including: 1. Patient Safety: Chronic and temperature-sensitive medication was rendered unusable, placing an elderly patient at medical risk. 2. Patient Confidentiality and Privacy: Delivering medication to an unrelated third-party shop is a gross breach of patient confidentiality. How is a patient expected to trust or safely use medication that has been left at a random location, with no control over who handled it or how it was stored? 3. Quality and Trust: We are now expected to trust and administer two boxes of medication that have been mishandled, improperly stored, and exposed for weeks. I require the following urgently: • A full written explanation of how this delivery failure and privacy breach occurred. • Immediate replacement of all affected medication. • Confirmation of corrective measures to prevent recurrence. • Escalation of this matter to senior management and quality assurance. This pattern of failure is unacceptable, particularly when dealing with elderly and chronically ill patients. Well done on your continued failure to give my grandmother her chronic medication. We have said it before that medipost never did this nonsense. The store owner has been asking people to find out which address is this. This is unacceptable and i demand the correct medication with immediate effect. How does a courier company deliver medication for two months at a local somalian shop.
I am extremely disappointed with Marara Pharmacy. Every single month, I must make countless calls and send numerous unanswered emails before my grandmother’s chronic medication is finally sent. On 3 November 2025, I emailed GEMS after realising her medication had still not been delivered, even though the doctor had sent the prescription well in advance. When I called Marara on 6 November 2025, I was told the prescription had been received but “not yet loaded.” This careless response is shocking given that my grandmother is an elderly, chronically ill patient who depends on timely medication to stay alive. To date, the medication has still not been delivered. This is not the first time — it happens almost every month. Marara’s only response has always been to apologise, yet the same problem continues without any improvement. I have kept detailed records of every call, email, and delay. I have also reported this matter to the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) and the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) for investigation. I have made it clear that I no longer wish to work with Marara Pharmacy, as their continued negligence is putting my grandmother’s life at serious risk. Should anything happen to her, I will take legal action against Marara Pharmacy for gross negligence. This is inhumane, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
In May, i moved into a new complex that is being developed. I needed connectivity and when i enquired, i was told to put up fibre in the unit i was renting and once my house is ready, the connection will be moved to my account and there wont be any charges. In September i then notified the agent dealing with vox of my intention to move in October and he said he is handling it. Now all of a sudden vox says i need to pay for the month of November because thats when i can serve notice. Additionally, they are charging me cancellation fee of R1100. Mind you , they dont even have fibre in the new house because apparently their contractor has run out of funds to continue with the installation. So basically, i dont have fibre, i must pay cancellation plus subscription for November. I have sent emails to everyone at vix including the ceo and no one is resolving this. Instead i keep getting parrot emails repeating a calender month notice which i attended to when i reported to the agent in September. Vox is a pain with horrible customer service and i regret ever using vox. It is unfortunate that 30 years post democracy, blacks will always be treated like trash and be ****** of the little money that we work hard for. Had it been someone else with this query, it would not be dragging on for months. Worse, they could not even deliver on the fibre in the new unit and they want to further charge me close to R2000 for nothing.
I've been dealing with harassment from Nu Debt for the past 12 months, and it's beyond frustrating. They keep sending me threatening messages, claiming I owe ER Consulting, even though I have a statement that clearly shows my balance is R0. On top of that, they say they've put a trace on my account and keep charging me for the SMSs they send. This whole situation is ridiculous and reeks of incompetence from both Nu Debt and ER Consulting. To make matters worse, their doctor misdiagnosed me in 2022, which almost cost me my life, and that's where this nonsense all started. I just spoke to one of their agents, and he had the nerve to ask me to send proof that I don’t owe anything, when I was looking right at it. Am I supposed to be your client now? Why don't you get your paperwork straight before sending these threats?
This nonsense of a company has been claiming that i owe them using Nudebt, they keep sending me smses and escalating the balance despite the fact that i paid off this account long ago. I thought maybe its only me, only to discover that almost all the complaints here have the same issue. Worst service ever, with even a Dr who misdiagnosed me and i almost died due to their negligence and use of *********** doctors.
In June 2024, I hosted my book launch at The Garden Venue, and from start to finish, the service was impeccable. Taryn, the agent who assisted with the quotes, provided perfect service throughout the planning process. Then Kea took over as the event coordinator, and her attention to detail was outstanding. We met to finalize the touches, and I was already impressed. But on the day of the event, my expectations were exceeded beyond imagination. The venue was stunning, and the welcome tea was simply out of this world. I've never experienced such extraordinary service in my life. I highly recommend The Garden Venue to anyone looking to host an event in Gauteng.
