I would never recommend Travelstart to anyone. They have good specials and everything looks nice and shiny with their WhatsApp system and this and that, but once anything goes wrong, you will regret using this company for anything. Our flights got canceled and now Travelstart says we will get our money back in 3 - 6 months. The airline refunds customers within 20 days, so I don't understand why Travelstart need several more months to refund us. I think they don't have money to refund customers and their trying to buy time for themselves. The fact that our flight has been canceled is not Travelstarts fault, but the way they are handling this is terrible. And I can guarantee you that it's not just us struggling with this. I have added some screenshots of other customers who are also frustrated with the service.

I am very happy with the service I received from Alistar and Tania. When I say service, I don't only mean work on my car. Tania is on-it like white on rice. We had a slight misunderstanding and miscommunication, but other than that I can definitely recommend them and I was very happy with the work they did on my car. Thanks!
My car was stolen at the end of September 2020, while being insured with Naked Insurance. The process was pretty seamless and smooth. I submitted my claim through the app and received very quick feedback. The team was also helpful in ensuring the claim is paid out as soon as possible, but it was still only paid out after a month. A part of the process that I feel can be improved, is the personal touch. I didn't receive a single call from the team, even after asking that someone would please phone me to explain the process. I understand that Naked tries to do things as simple as possible and that the company uses AI to do a lot of the work, but I think just adding one phone call into a big, traumatic claim like a car being stolen, would be of great value. I would have appreciated it A LOT. All in all, I'm happy with Naked and would (and I do) recommend them to anyone.
Dear Afrihost How does it happen that my mother's email address and ID number appear on an order that I placed after logging into my own account, using my own email address and the OTP that was sent to my personal number? I used a cellphone, which has never been used to log into my mother's account and frankly, the only way I can log into my mother's account is if she gives me the OTP sent to her dedicated number on her Afrihost account. I've had an Afrihost account for more than 5 years, with a valid and validated payment method and I have had numerous products from you in the past. Now you want the person who has nothing to do with an order, to write a letter to move a product from an account that didn't request said product, to the account that did request the said product. I'm not mad. I'm not annoyed. I am slightly confused, and concerned about the level of security on your system though... and I would also just like to have the product that I ordered on MY account, to be just that - on my account. Please fix this. I'm not going to bother my old lady with a letter request for something she isn't at all involved in. Yours truly, Almost satisfied customer
I love using Takealot, BUT I find that their customer serviced is horrific. The company haa changed into such a monster that they have made customer relations the least of their worries. I had an item that had to be returned. I logged the return and when I was advised about the date of the pick up, I contacted them and asked whether the pick up could be done in another province as I was away for work. The lady on the phone wasn’t very excited about this, but eventually we got it changed. Then a few days later I received news that the item would be replaced. The email read that I would receive an SMS notifying me about the delivery. I immediately got on the phone to ensure that the delivery address could be changed as I am still away for work, but now in a different town. The agent told me that this was possible, but I needed to load the address on my side. I did this and tried phoning back, but the call centre was too busy. At last I received an SMS with the delivery date and the address at which I am unable to be at for another 3 weeks. Still I couldn’t get through to the call centre and waited until this morning. Now I am told that the address can’t be changed - even though there is NO WAY for me to be at the delivery address. I was never consulted about which address should be used, even though the return was collected more than a 1000km from where my original address is. I feel that Takealot could honestly have a bit more understanding for a situation like this
Dear FNB, Please explain to me how my debit order date got moved to a date that I definitely never agreed to, without my consent. I've tried to get this fixed through your Secure Chat feature in the app, but this keeps kicking me out every time my phone's screen goes off, resulting in a new chat starting and having to re-explain everything. I've asked whether an agent can phone me to sort this out, but I was just told that I could phone a certain number.
I went to Kloof Street House a while ago for a friend of mines birthday. The restaurant is really cool and there is such a great vibe, but I can't see myself actually going back there. Here's why: I asked the waiter what he could suggest that did not contain dairy. He suggested the Ostrich Fillet and said that he would ask the kitchen to just take away the dairy. The plate arrived with basically just the Ostrich Fillet and some garnish. I don't do fine dining often but in my experience, at such fancy restaurants, the kitchen can usually make some kind of plan for someone like me. I was charged R190 for less than 200g of Ostrich Fillet. I wasn't asked what they could add (like a salad or just baked potato or whatever) So as much as I like the vibe and the place, I will be sharing my very expensive experience in detail with people who ask about this place in future.
I had a really **** experience with Afrihost this morning. My partner ordered a Cell C LTA-A simcard through Afrihost. He created a profile and did everything perfectly. At the check-out he indicated that I would be receiving the package. When the courier called to arrange delivery, I was told that MY rica docs would be needed. I phone Afrihost regarding and told the consultant that I don't want another simcard Rica'ed on my name. She said it's fine and that I could just have my partners documents ready. This morning the courier company came to drop off the simcard and they refused to accept my partner's documents, as Afrihost had indicated my name and my address as the Rica info. I got on the phone and tried to talk to Afrihost, but first had to hold for about 10 minutes before anyone could help me. Once a consultant picked up, he had a pretty ****ty attitude towards me as a client and kept on referring to my partner "who should have done it *this way* or *that way*" There was a complete lack of communication from Afrihost's side regarding this RICA situation and I don't appreciate the company not taking responsibility for that. I also don't appreciate it when one consultant tells me something and I get documents in order and when the courier pitches, I have to deal with a whole set of disaster management just to get internet in time for guests checking into a Airbnb.
We were a group of 10 people who had a year-end function at Homespun and I was so surprised. From making the booking, to having orders taken, to paying. It was all a pleasure. The restaurant is nice and very comfortable, but offers amazing fine dining options. The waitress was professional, but very friendly and offer recommendations all-round. Thanks for a great experience!
