As a customer I have always supported Hirsch’s so the natural progression when I moved to Knysna was to purchase all my appliances from them. When I started my home, I bought only Defy, and literally only had to replace my items 20 years later. How that has changed, I purchased a number of items from Hirsch’s and literally 1 year later, my dishwasher has packed up. A necessity in my house, not a luxury. It’s been three weeks, defy rep gets sent out, indicates that part needs to be ordered, orders wrong part and here I am, still waiting. Yet, when I bought the item, the warranty was thrown at me, the product name, and as a client, I must sit and wait. Hirsch “s literally blames Defy, well if you cannot control your supplier, then choose not to sell the product, as it’s your reputation when you cannot deliver on after sales service!!!! Hiirsch”s committed to dates, but cannot deliver and ensure that Defy actually delivers. I was warned, but I chose to stick to a brand I knew, guys, firstly Defy is certainly not what it used to be

Such inferior quality and terrible attitude of owner, Jersey washed once and it faded.? Am used to quality of Threads, Jolie, Ferry Weber. Her arrogance is something else. Please warn friends and our poor tourists as she refuses to take accountability - arrogance on another level!!!!!!
I made a purchase, entered my new address but the system did not change same. I advised them via mail that my address has changed and provided my new address. Notwithstanding me advising them, they still tried delivering at my original address. I have been trying to get my order delivered, and not a small order, but they cannot be bothered to have my order completed. I have now advised that they are to cancel and re-imburse me as the courier advised them more than a week ago that it was at the depot, but why should they care. They have my money, so aftersales is just non existent. This is the second time, have certainly learnt my lesson, once bitten, twice shy and anything after that would just be stupidity. Not recommended under any circumstances. Retailbox far more reliable.
I purchased a black Franke sink which has discolored and become white. Its very obvious that Franke will look for every excuse and argument not to take responsibility for this inferior product. I was told to use Franke Inox Cream which I have been doing, I was advised that I could use the Granite Cleaning Spray – this is after all a Granite Sink!!!!!!! Hard water and minerals in the water can leave white stains on your sink. The best way to remove these stains is with a hard water stain remover such as Lime-Away or CLR. You can do this once every 1 or 2 months. How can a superior product stain from water and minerals, and a black sink turn white!!!!!!! Franke is not the product to buy as their sinks are not only inferior, but Franke will look for every excuse. Franke contradicts themselves about the durable material which is in fact completely the opposite!!!! HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR SINK • The basis is frequent and regular cleaning of the sink. Even if it is not thorough, regular cleaning is more appropriate than just occasional thorough cleaning of the sink. The best maintenance of the sink is frequent washing of dishes. With a granite sink, common liquids, creams, pastes and dry powders can be used for regular maintenance. I have done this • The perfect appearance of your sink can be affected by water quality. In areas with hard water, gray or otherwise colored stains may appear on the sink. These are really just layers of water deposits or minerals that commonly occur in hard water areas. These minerals then easily absorb substances that leave stains, such as tea, coffee, red wine, foods with high color ***mentation, etc., thus spoiling the appearance of your sink. Therefore, you should wash and dry the sink after each use. If deposits remain on your sink, use a descaling agent (not a waste cleaner). You can also use a mixture of one part vinegar and three parts water, leave on for several hours, preferably overnight. Then thoroughly remove the residue with a sponge and sink cleaner. I have done this • Use a soft cloth or sponge and dishwashing liquid to remove daily traces of using the sink. Use a sponge and active cleaner to remove remaining stains. I have done this • If stains are very difficult to remove, especially recommended for light-colored sinks, fill the sink with a mixture made up of 40 parts water and 1 part bleach (eg laundry stain remover) or biological detergent and leave on overnight. Then drain the sink and rinse thoroughly. This method is definitely not intended for daily cleaning of the sink. In case of prolonged neglect of maintenance and subsequent graying, yellowing of the bottom of the sink (limescale deposition), descaling is a longer-term matter. • Your sink is made of an extremely durable material. Be careful, if you move metal pots and pans over its surface, they may leave metal marks. However, they are only on the surface of the sink and you can remove them in a circular motion with the rough side of the sponge and a sink cleaner. How does extremely durable material get damaged by pots • Try to avoid dropping sharp objects into the sink, which can chip or damage the surface. WHAT TO AVOID • Always avoid the use of metal cleaning sponges and scouring pads, as their metal parts stick to the surface of the sink. Do not leave steel and cast iron kitchen utensils on the surface of the sink for a long time. However, if there are stains on the surface, you can remove them with a sponge and sink cleaner. • Do not leave plastic sink pads, damp cleaning sponges and cloths in the sink overnight, as they retain water underneath and inside each other, as a layer of limescale may form on the surface of the sink. No other sink does this, so how durable and superior is this product. In fact its completely inferior. I am really just going to deal with this via social media and leave it at that as the public needs to be made aware. When it comes to Cobra and Hans Grohe, Franke cannot even compete on any level!!!!
I phoned today to speak to a senior person re my order and that I once again received a faulty unit. The consultant threw the phone down in my ear as I insisted to speak to a senior!!???? Is this the type of service we must endure, Faulty items and ineffective, inefficient staff who are blatantly rude!!!!!!!
I purchase a number of items , when the boxes were opened , the one item had two legs numbered 3 ( emphasis') and the second box , the item was damaged, the third box was not delivered. I have requested that the items be replaced and I keep being asked whether the boxes were tampered with ( really!!!!!) and whether I received any additional items, and that I must take photos of the missing box ( really !!!!!!) and not the first time that items are not delivered I have been battling for a week now with incompetency and inefficiency and every excuse under the sun I have
In 16 February I purchased various items, one of the items being a Bosch hand vacuum cleaner. I literally used the item once, tried to charge it and it would not charge. Went back about three weeks later, I did not have my slip but provided them with the transaction in my bank account.? They literally refused to assist me and then tried to accuse me of lying as they only picked up one sale if the vacuum cleaner and it was not my invoice. The *********** sales person, who I refused to continue with on the day that I bought the items was not only rude, but the arrogance!!!!!! then the manager , well unprofessional is not the word. They were not even prepared to make an effort!!! Bosch, I would be very concerned having your brand on their shelves as they certainly are not looking after your interests. And whoever the owners are, you should seriously look at the reviews, your arrogant sales lady and innefficient and unprofessional manager!!!!!! I was prepared to spend R80 k there that day to replace existing items, well I ended up with Hirches who are far more professional and efficient. So Lategan management how many more deals are you prepared to loose!!!!
In 20 March, I placed an order with Pick&Pay ordering 5 liquid Omo. I only received three, I immediately advised them and in two further occasions, not even a response!!!! This is not the first time and I have reported this on previous occasions, and was ignored.? But enough is enough. Imagine having continuous short deliveries of between R150 to R200 an order, so who is benefiting from short deliveries !!!! And Pick&Pay cannot even to acknowledge a complaint.
