Be aware of Vodacom fibre services, not to be used as they cant be trusted. I cancelled my line on their on-line portal on 30 November 2025. The system electronically confirmed my cancellation on 30 November. But the manual process took Vodacom another day on their own manual backend, so now they want to roll over my service by another full month. This is unacceptable, how can a so called leading technology company treat customers, that have been a loyal client on various of their services for over 30 years?
DO NOT rent any property from IHSPM owned or managed complex. They are underhanded, and their building standards are non compliant. Damage caused by sub-standard installations are pushed on to the tenant account, so this is a very dangerous undertaking to enter into any business relation ship on any of their properties.
I have always bought many lights and ceiling fans there. Recently I purchased some low voltage LED spotlights for ceiling mount with a transformer and 2 carrier wires. The individual lights keep blowing, I already had to buy a new set, but after a few months these also blow. None of my other lights in the house have a problem. Clearly an inferior product that I wish to raise with the manufacturer. The Alberton shop where I bought them referred me to Hein from HQ, but Hein never answers his phone nor returns calls. Clearly this company does not care about customers.
I have an expensive SMEG gas stove and oven. After less than 2 years the igniter to the oven failed and needed repair. Not even 6 months after the repair, the same igniter failed again with a different symptom. This is certainly not a quality brand and not recommended. My ELBA stove and oven has no problem after 12 years and the GERMANIA stove and oven has not had a problem these past 3 years either
Great personality service and responsiveness by the consultants
During recent floods we lost our house and I have been waiting 3 days for Vodacom to move an existing fibre service from point A to point B a few KM apart. Underlying VUMATEL infrastructure and ONT existing and the same at both premises. Call centre operators scratching their heads and can't explain or offer resolution. I work from home and rely on the fibre for the business.
Our property and house was destroyed during flooding of a nearby River. The house is uninhabitable for at least 3 to 4 months. Discovery Insure have no clue how to handle such a complex claim efficiently. 10 days after the event and 2 assessors later that have been sent, we still have not been informed of what will happen when and what compensation Discovery Insure provides for us in renting alternate accommodation.
On collecting a 22nd hand Kia Picanto, it transpired that the central locking was not functioning (only 2 of the 4 doors worked). The dealership was not interested to offer a resolution. They offered the excuse that they had not tested the vehicle properly, but must have known and sold with a known defect.. The vehicle had been with them for weeks and would have been driven and moved around.
In June 2015 I was contacted by TELKOM mobile to subscribe to a new LTE uncapped service. I agreed to do this under the condition that they would simply upgrade my existing 10+10 GB service to the uncapped LTE service. Renzo Zanetti from TELKOM agreed to this in writing. When I received the LTE uncapped service in July 2015, TELKOM simply added this new service and kept on billing me for 2 services. Ever since then I have been trying to rectify their mistake, by visiting their offices, multiple calls to customer care and so on. Everytime something is promised but no one calls back and nothing gets done. I need the original service cancelled and past payments from August 205 credited back to my account. I never wanted 2 services and do not need 2 services
