The marketing, design and products themselves are beyond reproach and very attractive. Oh boy, but you just wait – if a product becomes faulty within the 60-month guarantee period, it’s frankly not worth the paper it’s printed on. They give you the runaround, saying they’re doing troubleshooting and will get back to you, but they never do. So you end up sitting on a pile of overpriced s**** and need to consider legal action.
Exercise caution when considering Rentokil for your pest control and fumigation requirements. The initial quotation stage appears to be satisfactory. However, upon closer examination, the service offered deviates from the documentation provided, resulting in unsatisfactory outcomes. It appears that Rentokil is compromising on quality by employing industrial sprayers both inside and outside the premises, instead of the gel applications and traps contained in their documentation. This practice has led to the presence of poison puddles within my home, suggesting that they may be resorting to cheaper, external chemicals to reduce costs. When confronted with these issues, Rentokil attempts to justify their actions by claiming that onsite technicians determine the most appropriate treatment methods or that certain items were not included in the initial quote. Despite the inclusion of a second follow-up treatment in the price, Rentokil consistently fails to provide timely and satisfactory follow-up, whilst trying to book it. Instead they frustrate and annoy you, by simply not getting back to you. Threatening legal action have proven ineffective, as they appear to believe that the financial losses incurred are not substantial enough to warrant legal action. Regrettably, I am compelled to pursue legal action to address the persistent issues caused by Rentokil. While their services may not be the most cost-effective, I believe that seeking justice and compensation for the *****ulent behaviour, inconvenience and frustration they have inflicted upon me is a necessary step.
A Bosch Fridge (KGW36NL2AZ/01) I purchased online is from the same South African manufacturer as Hisense and they are virtually identical. I would not have purchased it, had I physically seen it. Off-course the name Bosch adds a few thousand Rand to the price. This is definitely not the kind of quality I expected to be associated with the name Bosch. My previous Hisense model only lastet 3.5 yrs before it just stopped refrigerating and I could have had a frost-free Hisense for the same price. The Waranty is only 2 Years and if you compare it with other Bosch Appliances and even Fridges, they are up to 10 years. Shame on you Bosch, for putting your name on such ******* and thereby misleading customers and abusing your brand-name.
Takealot deliveries for large items are a disaster - I requested priority delivery and the customer support said they informed the driver. I ended up being the last delivery of the day at 17h30, by which time I'd lost about a thousand Rand worth of foodstuff, due to the breakdown of my other fridge. They couldn't care less and the driver said he knew nothing about the urgency of the delivery. I added that to the review of the product I purchased and it got censored.
On the 02nd of December I ordered and paid for a Yubikey from Kernel Afrika. BIG MISTAKE, it turns out! It was picked up by the Courier on the 03rd of December during the late afternoon. By the 05th of December it was still 'apparently' lying in their Courier's Warehouse. On the 06th of December it was apparently out for delivery, but the Courier never showed up. Allthough I indicated a Business Address, they apparently tried to delivery it on Saturday 07th December - but obviously most businesses are closed on Saturdays. Until today I have not received the Yubikey and as it is a Security Device, one obviously has to wonder what happened between the 3rd and 05th of December - was it intercepted and tampered with? Can I still trust this device to be secure? Kernel Afrika is an absolute nightmare to deal with and they just keep quiet although I sent them several Emails. I recommend you buy it directly from Amazon or Takealot or altertively rather go with Nitrokey or similar.
Great quality equipment, professional service and if something is not right, they fix things immediately. The only thing wrong is their courier company >Seabourne Express< - they are lethargic and very inefficient. Bike Gear should either change their courier company or give customers the option to use their own courier.
if you order something from Port Elizabeth to Jo'burg, expect a 4-day delivery time, 2 days of which it's just lying around in their warehouse. They are lethargic to say the least and I had to collect the shipment myself from their warehouse, to avoid another day's delay. When I called them to find out their address, as they are located in a new unmapped area (not in the GPS), the woman on the phone was unable to give me directions. This is not an isolated incident and I previously experienced a similar delay with them.
I ordered and paid something on the 2nd of December and Fastway Courier picked up the shipment late afternoon on 03rd December. Today is the 09th of December and I still don't have my shipment, which originated in the same City as I live. I have had previous issues with their delivery drivers who are arrogant and complacent.
