Been buying from them for over 2 years now. Overall good service items delivered often ahead of schedule and where there are issues they resolve and refund pretty quickly. Surprised I read so many bad reviews on them. my experience they the best online store for items non food related. Been scammed now at least twice by other sites.
I purchased a Bosch Gas geyser. They were the only one with stock. Should have been a red flag for me. No delivery and purchased in July 2021. Today is Oct 2021 I am always following up the refund but no money refunded. Full of stories. I have been scammed by this company they sold a product to me they never had for which I paid and now I can't get my money back.
One often remembers the bad service but we should also compliment the good service. Ordered our food for our dogs and received within 2 days. Impressed, works real well unlike many sites I use where the delivery is the weakest point.
What really gets my blood pressure going with this site is there delivery. On the site they mention 5 days or 3 days but I often get the items 2 weeks later if I am lucky. This time we went on holiday before the items were delivered, we asked that they cancel and they totally ignored me. Plain bad service!
We in the end called the guy the tech bungler, yes its that bad. The owner is Michael Carter. We paid him to install ROTEX underfloor heating and cooling system, plus panels and fan units. There was endless delays, the system leaked and could not keep pressure and it was clear it was bad installation. We got another installer in who laughed and says he always fixes this guys mess. Be careful of the usual trick of showing you photos on the phone as these are not his work. Also anyone who wants to sell you a underfloor cooling system make sure they tell you how the condensation will be handled or you will have a mess in your house. I also paid him to import panels from France, I eventually had to pay the supplier and the duties as he had used my money and could not import, thats fraud. Again delays. worst experience in building my new house.
I bought solar equipment from a company called Solare Energie Systeme Quedlinburg CC, the owner is Andreas Ritter. I paid the 70% deposit on the 13th of September, was supposed to be max 15 days to receive and install I then paid the last amount 30%, 4th of October when all was ready, this was a mistake as the agreement was after installation. Today is 20 of November and nothing. All I got is excuses and its the supplier and so forth. Now I see he is not answering the phone always a bad sign. This whole issue cost me R 113 000 and I got nothing to show for it. I have copies of all payments and the invoice. Be warned.
<p>Went to the JHB store, good selection and knowledgeable staff. No pressure to buy could sit on the chairs and relax get a feel of the furniture. Quite impressive showroom. Sales person sorted everything out and we agreed a delivery date. At the last minute changed the date and again delivered as agreed and furniture was in excellent condition. Delivery crew friendly lot even helped move another stores piece of furniture around for me. Overall an upmarket, laidback, but extremely efficient experience. Welldone this is what service should be.</p>
<p>I have bought before from Rochester and just like before the service was good. I changed the delivery date at the last minite with just one email and all went like clock work. Good quaility product, delivered on time and by friendly delivery crew. Well done, good service.</p>
<p>Bought Furniture from Born with a tight deadline. In fact we were convinced they would never make the deadline before the factory closed in December. They made the deadine and delivered on a public holiday just before everyone went on leave. Furniture is well made and exactly as we requested. Good service, huge range. Read some of my other reviews, some other furniture suppliers were a nightmare as I write this review I am still waiting for furniture ordered weeks before I ordered the remaining furniture from Born. Highly Recommended.</p>
<p>I bought over ZAR 75 000 worth of furniture to be delivered to my house on agreed date. All furniture was in stock at time of purchase. Was to be delivered before Christmas. Its New Years eve and no furniture, Phoned the branch no one answers the phone. Phoned the customer service, can' t get through they want your ID number, why God knows, phoned the despatch apprently the furniture is lost! Emailed Customer service they simply sent a cold email, despatch will handle. I am going around in circles. News Years party moved back to my old house as we have no bed for visitors and no lounge chairs. Amazing there online service for small items is good though there store furniture service is extermely bad and unreliable, avoid there are better furniture retailers out there! For us this has been nightmare.</p>
