There was heavy snowfall on 20 September 2024 in the Midlands. At around 22:30 the power in the entire establishment switched off. Insufficient backup power for guests. Fast forward 21 September. No hot water in the morning. At 18:20 as I wrote this there is still no power. Owner is nowhere to be seen. No updates to the guest on what has or hasn’t been done. We are literally sitting in the dark in a cold establishment that we all paid money to stay and and the owner is no where.
Palmerston Cartridges a supplier of Makro Online is the worst service provider of all time. I placed an order for a cartridge combo on 19 August 2024 which consists of 4 cartridges. The given delivery date was 23 August 2024. On 24 August I spent the entire day following up on my order which I was then told would be sent through on Monday 26th August after I’d gotten to a point where I was now demanding my money. Fast forward 26 August 2024, I get notification from Makro online still showing expected delivery as 23 August 2024, but my order was only packed 26 August and by 16;30 my order had still not been handed over to the courier company for delivery. This is a packet of 4 cartridges and it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with the Makro online team and Palmerton Cartridges , who is Makro’s 3rd party supplier. This level of lies and lack of consideration for clients is absolutely unacceptable on so many levels. I’m running a small business and because of the wait I have lost out on 5 days of income. How do I make up that income or do both these companies just don’t care? Makro thinks that because they are a big retailer they can mess with the small people. They need to be taken to task about this and something needs to be done. I need to be reimbursed for the loss of income I’ve had to suffer because of them.
It is sad to experience the level of ****** that a friend has just experienced from the Pharmacist by the name Martie Roty. She even went as far as to remove her name so that we couldn’t get her name.
I would like to warn the South Afrian public about this medical scheme called Genesis Medical Scheme. Firstly, they should not be calling themselves that, because their plans come very short of what a medical scheme’s plans should offer or look like. I have been diagnosed with a condition that requires a half day in hospital procedure which I was informed that the procedure would not be authorised unless it is purely for medical reason. I informed them that, the procedure is indeed for medical reasons and I was informed that I needed to get pathology reports, consultation notes and motivation from the medical practitioner concerned in order to have my authorisation request sent through to the schemes management, who would then make a call as to whether to approve the hospital authorisation or not. So it’s okay that they deduct my money every month, however where I have a serious medical condition, they need to ponder on whether or not they would be making a payment for it to be done. Fast forward, whilst in the process of gathering all they information they require and get it from the medical practitioner, I call the authorisation lady to tell her that I have the medical records she request and the motivation and she insists that she also wants a pathology report, something I believe a medical practitioner would have made a call or whether or not lengthy tests needed to be conducted, more so as the issue had been identified. To add insult to injury, I subsequently receive emails from Genesis Medical Aid that I now need to send all the medical service provider that I have used recently with medical history of all my family members, bearing in mind that I have minors under the age of 18 there on as well. Strangely all the information on my family practitioner was furnished to them when I initially made an application to them, thinking that they were not only affordable but covered the basic day to day medical needs of my family. I feel that I have been violated by this company and I believe at as per Chapter 2 of the Bill of Rights in the constitution . Section 14 provides for the rights to privacy Every has the right to privacy which includes the right to not have: * Their body or home searched *Their property searched * Their possessions taken from them * Their private communication infringed upon. These are but a few and.I believe that I have grossly violated and while be approaching the Human Rights Commission about this and any other relevant regulatory body in this regard
I have a parcel coming in and there are some import duties to be paid, so I send an email to the one provided on their website and I get a response as to what the payment is for from a Palesa Mthombeni. I then send another email informing her that the said payment link doesn’t work, what should I do? The email gets ignored for the rest of the day. This morning being 3 May 2024 I send another email to Palesa Mthombeni and below is the response I get Good day, Kindly find Nedbank details and please forward proof once payment is done. I placed an order via UberEat for collection in my order from McDonald Olifantsfontein. The drive contacts me to find out the delivery address, next thing o get an Ooops notification that they are finding another driver, this is after I paid the amount to make my order a priority. Then I decide to cancel the order and drive to the Mc Donald I Grey Owl. Uber is refusing the pay me my refund and are telling me that I should not have cancelled after the restaurant accepted the order. Is it my fault that UberEats allocated a driver then cancelled this causing an hour delay in my hour getting to me. Uber is a ******** organisation I’ve had way too many issues with them and I’m just not prepared to take this kind of exploitation from Uber any longer .
I bought a necklace with a pendant from them at the Mall of Africa store toward the last 3 months of 2022 for close on R3000. It’s only been 13 months and the neckpiece has been stained. I sent an email to their customer care regarding this issue I’m having, even attempt to make a few calls to no avail. Alas the email has still not been responded to let alone acknowledged. I feel that they are ripping people off with their jewellery as this was not the first neckpieces I bought from them that has done this. I was of the view that the first neckpiece stained and discoloured due to the amount of medication I’d been taking after my hospitalisation. The fact that the second neckpiece has done the same thing, proves to me that the South African market is being sold sub-standard products at very high prices and when you contact them about their products you simply get ignored

Getting a refund from Karri School payment collection app powered by Nedbank, is like drawing blood out of a stone. Firstly, the school is their client. Payments for any activities are collected by the school via this app. My son’s trip is cancelled, I have money due to me as payment is done by loading your card details in the app. So now with the trip being cancelled the money sits in the Karri Wallet instead of being refunded directly into the loaded card. Upon request that I get my refund back, I’m requested to send a million and one document. Proof of my bank accounts. The receipt that they as Karri provides, which has the date of the transaction, what it was for as well as a reference number. Then get asked to send proof of payment that the payment was actually made. How did they issue a receipt if the payment did not go through? I send a clean shot of the actual transaction that came off my account, but even that is bit enough, I must send a bank statement. You’d be convinced they owe me millions. If getting R2100 back from Nedbank that was refunded to you and belongs to you, what more if the claim was enormous. It’s ridiculous. These financial institutions are abusing people and it needs to stop.
