I am physically disabled & I was desperately seeking a new supplier for a mattress, after my first supplier just wanted my money & never stopped lying & offering poor customer care. Then the second supplier started off great then just seemed to lose interest & never got back to e, even being in the same province as me. That is when I came across Mr. Mobility & they are going to me my goto suppliers. From the minute I sent my first email, I was blessed with greatly amazing help, assistance & information from Romeo. Even considering they are in another province, within 1 week, I received my new mattress, very well vacuum sealed, boxed & shipped. It was even delivered on a Saturday. Now that is what I call a 10 out of 10 VIP customer care that deserves my utmost attention. Thankyou Romeo

From the minute i signed up & contacted them, I got nothing but family friendly advice, assistance & treatment. Which is so rare in South Africa lately. And as I am physically disabled, I take this customer care to heart, as we are usually frowned upon. Westville Hospital use to be my go to hospital since the 1990’s but after my recent stay there, I will not be returning there, even tho all my Doctors are there. This was my experience. I was admitted into hospital on 28th April 2024 with a serious cough that had caused my breathing being diminished to the point that my oxygen level was reduced to 40%. Admission was a breeze with no issues, except for the pain caused trying to find a vein to insert the drip & take blood. I was admitted into high care due to my oxygen levels being so low & my cerebral palsy made things tricky as I could not move much, if at all. That is when my living nightmare started. Even tho I kept informing the nursing staff that I was disabled & my movements was extremely limited, they seemed to get rather upset that I couldn’t move well. I was assigned a tall bald black male nurse with glasses. At first all seemed well, until I asked for help to eat my lunch as I was very weak. The nurse was not happy to feed me & voiced his opinion by stating if I can hold my phone (which was resting on my leg with my hand on it), then I can feed myself but he still helped me eat in a huff & puff. A while later, I needed the urinal, of which I called the male nurse to bring it but instead, after about 15 minutes, he returned & stated that I must get a catheter as due to the doctors orders. I told him I didn’t want the catheter & that he must fetch the doctor so I can explain that I just needed the urinal. The male nurse left hastily but never returned. After an hour of waiting, I had to call another nurse to help me, as I needed the urinal urgently & the first nurse still hadn’t brought it. About 10 minutes before change of shift at 6pm, I got extremely thirsty to the point that my mouth was extremely dry, causing me a lot of distress & coughing. I asked my assigned male nurse for some water, at which point he walked away, I presumed to fetch some water but he returned about 10 minutes later with no water but instead with a female nurse that was his shift change & the two started talking of which I knew was information about my case to the shift change. I again, begged for water, to no avail as neither of the two nurses moved, instead continued talking. I begged again a bit louder for water, at which point the male nurse retorted that I must wait because he is talking & it is shift change. I then spoke to the female nurse & asked for a staff nurse or superior, of which she rep**** & stated she was the superior. I informed her that I did not want my current male nurse to overlook my case any further as he had a major attitude problem. At which point the male nurse started shouting at me for everything I was saying & that I was being very ungrateful & inconsiderate. He eventually left still mumbling & I eventually got my life saving water from the female nurse. I thought my hardships was over for the evening but it continued. The same female nurse had positioned a table & chair between my bed & the bed to my left, so she could monitor both of us. A few times during the night I would ask the nurse for either the urinal or water & although she was at most 2 meters away from me, she did not make an effort to move or listen to me, even tho I would call for her at around 5 – 10 minute intervals. At one point I was so desperate for the urinal that I called to a passing nurse for help & as she made her way towards me to help, the so called superior nurse who was sitting 2 meters from me, said something to the passing nurse who was coming to help, at which point she turned & walked away. I eventually got the urinal from the superior but I had to ask her for a few more minutes before she helped. A while later, in the middle of the night, that same superior nurse approached my bed & instead of asking if the oxygen mask was sitting properly on me, or if I was ok, no, she asked me to breathe more quietly as my lack of oxygen was causing my breathing to be heavy, causing a whining sound with every breath & she said that the sound was bothering staff & other patients. In the morning I was assigned a new male nurse named Kaya. He was the complete opposite of the first male nurse. The amount of care & help I received from Kaya was astounding. The amount of care he put in helping me made me feel safe. He was always checking the oxygen mask every couple of minutes, as well as checking on me & he would help me eat without even asking if I needed help. I am very grateful to Kaya for looking after me. The evening male nurse was just as good as Kaya. Both of those male nurses should be used as a role model to all nursing staff. I was eventually sent to B ward room 11 on 30th April 2024. I was happy to be out of high care & in a ward where I recognized some of the staff from my previous hospitalization in 2023. Mainly a male nurse by the name of Ayanda, who saved my life a few times in 2023 with water, so once again, another great caring male nurse. The room I was placed in had an extremely very loud extractor fan & as I am deaf in my right ear, it meant my good left ear was facing the fan & it was extremely deafening to me. I asked to close the air vents or turn the sound down & I was told nobody knew how to do it but they will check. At the same time, I needed the urinal but none of the staff had bothered to make sure the nurse call was within my reach, so I had to call a nurse that was outside my door by the linen door. She came closer to hear what I was asking for & she said she would be right back. 30 Minutes later, still no bottle & I saw the same nurse that said will be right back, she came out of the adjacent room chatting with other staff. I eventually had to ask another nurse who had come in at shift change to check on me, for help. She made sure the nurse call was within my reach. I also asked her to please quieten the extractor fan & she said she would try find somebody. I was also a little bit amazed at how she emptied & cleaned the urinal in the sink in the room. A while later. I needed help with the toilet facilities & the night staff were not very happy that I could not go to the toilet & that they would have to help me with the bedpan. When they finished helping me, they left the nurse call well out of my reach & left the used urinal on the trolley within my reach if I needed it again. Still nobody had sorted out the extractor fan, causing me not to be able to sleep the entire night, made worse by me having to shout & scream for help, to which no staff came. At 4am when the staff arrived for the bed bath, the noise in the room by the extractor fan was so deafening, which bothered the staff & within minutes they got somebody to quieten it down. Which completely made me angry because I had been asking since 5.30pm the night before & nobody did nothing but now because it was annoying the staff in the room, it was quietened. After the bed bath, the tow nurses wanted to put on a surgical gown. I informed them that I was going to be discharged that day & that I wanted to put on my clothes in my bag. They helped me put on a shirt but point blank refused to put on a pair of trunks/shorts. I asked more than once saying that I was going to have a visitor, the Doctor & being discharged later & that I do not want to be naked. That is when the nurse stated to me that my care & comfort are not important, only what is easier & easy for staff. That made me extremely mad because in all the 48 years of my medical history & the numerous hospitals I have been in, I have never heard that being said to me. My trunks were still not put on. When the doctor finally arrived, I filled him in on what the nurse said to me & I informed him that I will not spend another night in this badly run hospital. I was finally discharged at around 2pm, 1st May 2024, 2 days before my 50th birthday & with any luck, I will never have to see Westville hospital ever again. And I will definitely share my experience as nobody has contacted me about my experience or to even apologize. I trusted Westville hospital to help me get better, instead I was discriminated against by poorly trained nursing staff due to my disability, made to suffer potential urinary infection, made to suffer dehydration, made to suffer a sleepless night due to a fan which staff refused to quieten & suffer the humiliation of being naked when visitors & doctor arrived because getting dressed was not easy for staff.
I have been buying from Takealot since 2005, before they were called Takealot, they were known as Take2. And their service was superb, not just their customer care but their deliveries as well. I once even received an order within 18 hours after ordering & to make it better, it was delivered on Christmas Eve. This was back in 2012. Take2, actually made an effort to listen to the customer if there was an issue. But those days are gone after the joining of Take2 & Kalahari.net. Ever since then, its been a downward spiral for both customer care & deliveries. In my opinion they have become too big for their own shoes & its too far gone to apply the breaks. Almost anybody can now sell on Takealot, there is even knock off products being sold & there is absolutely no quality control whatsoever. Understandable that some of the products are sold as a third party but they are using Takealot's name, therefore, Takealot should inspect the products before shipping. That way they can **** out the knock off & defective products. Over a month ago I purchased a duvet cover. I had to send it back 8 or 9 days after delivery due to about 4 holes on the cover. The return was rejected due to not being within the 7 days. I explained to them that I am physically disabled living in a Nursing home & that I have to wait when the nursing staff change sheets, hence the delay in returning the duvet cover. I asked them to reconsider the rejection, of which they said they would take it under advi*****t but instead of contacting me to advise the rejection still stands, no, they just send the product back with holes & when I tried to write a review about it on their site, it was deleted. Also, of late, I only place orders for In Stock items but I have no idea why because, although the items are In Stock, I still have to wait 4 - 8 days for delivery & I must state, I live in a major city area. This is highly confusing because Takealot advertise, "Pay today, Get it Tomorrow". But I have never been given the option for next day shipping for quite a while, even when I meet all the criteria for next day shipping. And when I query it with support, I get told that the items still need to be shipped to the warehouse BUT & a big BUT, when I placed the order, it stated IN STOCK at the warehouse for me to qualify for next day shipping. So why does it then have to be shipped to the warehouse again, if it's already in the warehouse. I currently have an order with 3 items in it. All were In Stock at the JHB warehouse & the criteria states that deliveries for DBN must all be In Stock at the JHB warehouse. I placed the order on the 12 March but it's only arriving on 19 March... What happened to NEXT DAY SHIPPING as per Takealots own rules & criteria? Unfortunately Takealot do not have strong competition. Their closest rivals, "Raru" were closed down & "Loot" is not as well advertised. Because they hardly have any competition, they will continue down this downward spiral until self destruction, which is a pity because I miss Take2 days. I find myself ordering more from Dischem, Clicks & Makro, simply because they don't mess me around & actually listen to me, if I have an issue. Takealot, stop thinking you are Amazon & put the customer first again because at the end of the day, without a customer, you have no business, no matter how good your product is.
I do not have an Uber rides account, only Uber Eats. Since November 2023 I have noticed small amounts charged to my debit card for Uber rides but they coincided with an Uber Eats order, so I presumed that it was pertaining to my order. But yesterday, 05/01/2024, there was a charge of R135 for an uber ride which I did not authorize because I am physically disabled, can not walk & I live in a Nursing home. There is no number or email on Uber website, so I contacted Uber Facebook & Uber Eats Facebook to inform them & per their request I sent proof of the *****ulent transactions which shows time, date & the last 4 digits of my card used. At present, Uber Eats has not rep**** & all Uber Facebook does is ask & persist constantly that they require the first 6 numbers of my card, as well as the expiry date. they ask for it in a loop, even tho I ask why they need that info, they do not answer my question, instead the loop continues. Pathetic service from a company that is used a lot. If I could give them -100, I would.
I stumbled across Speed Surf while searching for a new ISP & I absolutely loved their AirFibre deals. I left a message to call me back as it was Christmas time, so I expected a call in the new year but nope, they contacted me 2 days after Christmas. I explained my situation that I was physically disabled, living in a care home & that I needed to be connected up urgently. They helped & guided me through the sign up procedure & were able to come around within the hour to set me up. I don't think they can do that all the time but I am so taken aback by their level of professionalism in wanting to help. Although I couldn't use their product due to tall trees in the area, I was & am so highly impressed at their commitment to outstanding customer care & taking the time to explain to me the cons involved with tall trees, that I rate them as one of the best customer cares that I have ever received in this country. Keep up the outstanding service Speed Surf & Thankyou so much for your care.
These guys are an absolute Godsend. As I am physically disabled, MKQ took the nightmare of packing, wrapping & disconnecting all electricals, including computer, everything carefully & fast, upon themselves. Then they unpacked & reconnected everything the way it was & made sure everything was clean. But what blew me away, was how the owner helped me out the car & into my wheelchair. Oh, I forgot to mention, they were available at short notice. Every cent was well spent. They get my 2 thumbs up stamp of approval.. Thankyou Msi for making my 6th move a breeze.
I Used Rain for 1 year & 3 months. I was exceptionally happy with them within my first year & then the problems started. Let me explain my situation.. I am physically disabled, I cant walk, so I am in a wheelchair.. I live in a nursing home, it's difficult to go outside, I have no family in South Africa, they all overseas, so the internet is how I stay in touch with family & keeps me from going into depression. That all said, this is what occurred. About 3 months ago, my connection was 1 bar at most. I lost track how many times I contacted support, which cost me a small fortune in mobile airtime & virtually every time I phoned I was told different things by different staff, which I tried all, to no avail & then after 5 days, my signal came back without an explanation or apology & all I received was R43 deducted from my bill. Now, 5 days ago, I moved to a new address. I made sure I was within the coverage area, which I was but the opposite happened, I had very poor or no signal at all, I phoned support again up to about 3 times a day, to no avail, even after trying everything they said. I was shocked to see there was no email address for support, just a number. So I contacted Rain Facebook page on day 3 of no internet & although I received better service, I still got no internet. Eventually on day 5 of no internet, Rain Facebook phoned & informed me there was only 1 tower close to me, the 2nd was about 4.5km from me & that it would be in my best interest to cancel my account, Which I have done. Now thanks to Rain, I have to wait until the new year to get a new ISP, all because they refused to be honest with me from day 1. So thankyou very much Rain for spoiling my Christmas this year with my family overseas & I sincerely hope I will not be debited on 1 January 2024 or the fight will start all over again.
I was introduced to Pizza Hut in the mid 80's, when in my early teens. It quickly became a family Sunday outings. Then they had the Wednesday R20 each as much as you want special. Then I lost track of them. They just seemed to vanish which made me sad because no other pizza came close to Pizza Hut's deep pan mouthwatering pizza & the freshest of fresh toppings. Recently, due to a few bad experiences from other Pizza places, I searched the trusted internet for a new Pizza place, due to me being physically disabled, it had to be a place that delivers & since I am a mad Pizza *****, I am very picky & to my beloved surprise, I found my beloved Pizza Hut in Pinetown. Today I ordered from Pizza Hut for the first time in 20+ years & everything from ordering to delivery was such a breeze. Even tho there was a slight hiccup with one of the items missing, the driver made up for it by going back & returning with the missing item in a short time. Remarkable in my opinion. Even after all these years, the Pizza was just like I remembered it, the cheese so tangy & the deep pan base was just so nostalgic, I felt like a hungry teen again. Their Kleva range is just perfectly cleverly sized, their cheesy chips was just right, their Pizza fold was like eating a giant pie & not to mention yummylicious. But the thing that to me was just the icing on the cake was their beyond delicious Giant Choc Chip cookie, it reminded me of something my Mom use to bake, every bite was a pure mouthgasm of joy... Thankyou Pizza Hut Pinetown for a delightful evening & nostalgic memories.
I really use to love Pizza Perfect Pizza. I use to work right next door to the Pinetown.Sarnia outlet over 20 years ago & the smell just drove me insane to the point that I would have a small pizza for lunch literally 7 days a week. I recently moved back to Sarnia area & started ordering from them again through their app, as I am physically disabled & can not go to them. My first order went through great, no problem, even though they advised me that they have no drivers after 7pm. Recently I placed an order with them. The order was confirmed & I made payment, which went through, almost R450.00. Then 20 minutes later after 7.30pm, I get an sms stating that my order was cancelled due to no confirmation. I tried phoning but no answer. I sent an email requesting a full refund no credit. Then I get a call 2 days later, apologizing & that a refund will be made. I emailed my banking details but they insisted they would only refund upon receival of a bank confirmation letter with my details, which I sent through as well. It is now 12 days since I placed the order that was cancelled without warning & I still haven't received a refund, even after they sent me an email stating that payment was made & will show shortly, that was 9 hours ago from the posting of this review. Even after midnight, the funds still do not show. This is ***** at it's best. They have permanently lost a pizza ***** for good.
