I am the owner of The Perfume Company which I started in 2011 and I get mistaken for The Perfume Co AFRICA every day when their customers / agents call or email me to complain about the bad service and lack of customer care. They started in 2021 I think and thought it was a good idea to ***** my name and just add AFRICA to it. This confuses people and makes them very angry as the service delivery they get is awful. I get at least 2 messages every day complaining about The Perfume Co AFRICA.
FastWay should really consider a name change to Slow Way Couriers. I booked 5 parcels on Monday and they still have not even been collected and it's flippen Wednesday. They keep making promises and not delivering (pun intended). I am so sick of bad service from these people, so i am cancelling the shipments and going with another (more reliable) courier company.
I have had 3 incidents with the Cape Town delivery guys for Internet Express. The Joburg side is brilliant, but CT has some serious training they have to do with their drivers. My parcels are marked FRAGILE and yesterday the driver not only delivered the parcel to the wrong address, but threw it over the wall... with a FRAGILE sticker on it. They also like to not like to get out of the delivery van so will just sit outside a doctor's office honking, expecting the staff to come outside... this carried on for 3 days. And also don't bother putting special delivery notes into the waybill, as they will simply be ignored. I have requested claim forms for the broken items, but to date, no response even though a ticket with support was lodged with multiple requests for escalation.
This company deserves less than 1 star. Mike is a rude and obnoxious person who has no interest in customer care. We bought 50 NFC cards that absolutely do NOT work. Firstly the printing was out of register, which he didn't seem to think was a concern, and after spending literally hours on a multitude of apps to try and get iPhones to read the cards called Mike for assistance and a solution that would work for our client (we're a marketing company). We were told in no uncertain terms that Mike did not need to help us and that he did not need our business. He had zero interest to find a solution or to assist. He also didn't give a **** that he sold us a product that is of zero use to us. STAY AWAY FROM STORM MEDIA and Mike.
Well I didn't think that I could be so pleasantly surprised by a company in 2022. What an unbelievable level of service delivery. The booking system and on-line platform is super easy to navigate and if you need the staff to assist, they do so efficiently and quickly. They link to my ecommerce site on Shopify seamlessly and I can fulfill and ship orders easily and they inform clients of the delivery events so it cancels a couple of steps on my side. I cannot praise https://www.uafrica.com/ more if I tried. I AM SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED! Their rates are BETTER than any other courier (believe me, I have done the research). You can also pay with your credit or debit card, so no more waiting for your account to be reactivated after suspension due to waiting for funds to reflect.. instant confirmation, and ability to book collections. What an amazing company and I am thrilled I am finally saving some money as I was just making the couriers rich during COVID. 10 out of 10.
I sent a local parcel (Local Same Day Delivery) in JHB on Thursday 13/01/22 and I have sent 11 emails over the last 4 days as my parcel has yet to be delivered. Not one person has contacted me or responded to my emails. THE SERVICE HAS GONE FROM HERO TO ZERO!!!! I am utterly shocked at how they are treating their loyal customers. As an on-line cash account I am no longer "allowed" to call them, only email correspondence is allowed.
Since the change over of systems the service delivery has really gone to pot We are now charged a fuel surcharge for local deliveries which was not done before. We spend thousands of rands as a small e-commerce business every month and now we are not allowed to speak to an operator, only bots on the website that cannot answer questions. We depend on transparency with our customers and as we offer free returns and exchanges the full delivery fees come out of our pockets and profits, so the only company that actually benefits is the courier guy. They are getting bigger, stronger and more successful, yet offer less service and expects us to just keep paying more. There is no individual attention and small businesses get no assistance. All the drivers complain about unhappy customers but nothing gets done. I asked if I could speak to my area manager to get some clarification, but that request has been ignored. There is no individual service like there was when I joined in 2016... I am just a number now and the courier guy actually doesn't give a hoot about the small companies trying to survive the pandemic... they just care about their profits. I am utterly disgusted with the way we have been treated, and I am by no stretch alone as i have spoken to all my peers in my industry and they all feel exactly the same.
I made an on-line booking on the Spec-savers website, (not for a driver's licence but to have my eyes tested to see if I need glasses). Nowhere on the site does it show pricing anywhere for the eye exam. I made the booking for the Killarney branch and was notified via email to check-in to confirm, which I did. I was then called 3 times to confirm my booking and received and email and an sms to confirm. At no stage whatsoever was a cost mentioned for the eye exam. When I arrived for my 3-times confirmed appointment the receptionist asked me for my medical aid details. To which I replied why as there was no cost mentioned (I assumed that the exam would be free as I would be buying my frames and lenses there, which many other optometrists offer by the way). The receptionist was completely unaware that nobody cared to mention that a simple eye exam cost R499, which is not mentioned anywhere. Out of principal I immediately cancelled my booking. Time wasted. I shall go to an alternative optometrist.
Roadside Assist. Very friendly and punctual driver who changed my tyre very efficiently and quickly.
