I had A A vehicle insurance for a very long time. I cancelled my policy and emailed my notice of cancellations a few times. This month they took another premium via debit order. They only take new business calls and forget about their current clients. I am so glad I cancelled my policy as service is deteriorating hourly. So, so sad compared to service levels 20 years ago... Kindly refund my money urgently.
1 star is too high!! I have phoned TWICE to cancel a policy obo of my parents because they are too old to drive and the car was sold. I sent an e-mail on 10 September - the day that the car was sold to cancel the policy. I was assured TWICE that someone in retaining would phone the policyholder at a specific time and date to confirm my instruction to cancel. I had to hold the line TWICE and listen to ******* at my cost. PRETTY PLEASE CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CANCEL POLICY NO 54500099537 IN ITS ENTIRETY and provide a credit from the date of the email. which is 10 September 2025. Thank goodness we've never had to claim, imagine that!! Wake up Santam and the underwriter. We struggle enough with other everyday issues to visit, revisit and revisit again to get people to do their work. I tried to help you but now you will have to speak to deaf elderly people and hope they can understand and hear you.
I have to compliment Craig from the Dunkeld Stax store. What an amazing experience. I phoned late on a Friday afternoon to enquire about a sound system. Craig was patient and went to a lot of trouble to assist. I said I would visit him on Saturday. Dunkeld Stax staff was friendly. Craig went out of his way to explain and assist. It was felt like going back 30 years in time when salespeople did not allow a customer to walk out of a shop empty-handed. These days it is easier to say "no we don't have" than to go and search for a specific item in order to sell a product. Craig, it was refreshing to have dealt with a knowledgeable, passionate and proud salesman. I will drive past all the other shops in Roodepoort just to be served by you again. Well done Craig you are my new favourite salesman!
I've been a loyal Vodacom customer for many years. This morning I noticed that a large amount has been deducted. I phoned and was told that "3"gig data" was added to my profile and that I had "to phone if I didn't want it". What rubbish is this that something is added but I must cancel it if I don't want it? Customers' STRUGGLE with all accounts. If I wanted data, I would have asked and paid for data. Why must I now hold on for hours, be escalated to someone and check to see if I had received a credit. But I bet if I want to get out of the contract, there would be problems. VODACOM WAKE UP PLEASE. YOU ARE STEALING AND PILFERING MY MONEY AS IS THE NORM IN SOUTH AFRICA!!!!!! STOP CHARGING MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT YOU SLIPPED UNDER THE DOOR WITHOUT MY SIGNATURE, THIS IS FRAUD AND AGAINST THE CREDIT ACT.
Unfortunately, Hellopeter does not have an option to give 0 stars. My experience was as follows: I contacted a few investigators to trace a person. I decided to go with SSI Consultants. Chris quickly sent the invoice and I paid the full amount to “trace” the person. I sent to Chris all the most minute details I had to assist him to trace the person. Within hours he sent me a credit bureau print-out. He asked me to please give him a 5-star review. I replied that I must first check to see if the addresses were valid. It took me a few minutes to ascertain on Google Maps that the addresses were non-existent as they were a mix-up of townhouse complex names and street names. I informed Chris that the addresses were fake. He said I should rather drive out to the addresses, which I did (now remember, I PAID HIM to trace the person!). I drove there, confirmed that the addresses were fake and informed Chris accordingly. I could have received numerous credit—bureau print-outs free of charge or R150 each, depending on my choice. (Chris also offered a “debt collection package” at a fee of 30% of the debt amount upfront or 50% of the debt amount after collection). I wonder how he was going to find the person! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I still haven’t heard one word from Chris – only a message from Hellopeter alerting me that my Hellopeter report had been reported by SSI Consultants Private Investigators as “Inappropriate”. I have subsequently submitted all the documentation, proof of payment and messages to Hellopeter. I am sure anyone can see that my whole experience with Chris Breedt t/a SSI Consultants was indeed “very inappropriate” and I am delighted to see that even Chris agrees. All the facts contained in my Hellopeter report when I shared my experience was indeed true and correct. UNBELIEVABLE ... never a dull moment ...

I agree with other reviews. I've diligently paid for years. I could have saved that money in case I need a lawyer. I asked for assistance and they sent a letter of demand VIA REGISTERED MAIL. The person ignored the notification or the notification was never delivered and no consequences. Pathetic. They are quick to return a call when it is new business. Today I needed assistance again and several reasons were given why they cannot assist. They are not serious about law only serious about taking premiums every month.
The project was refurbishment of existing parquet floors as well as installation in a new passage and room. Having worked with sub-contractors since 1996, we gave Dumi the opportunity to "finish the project in 3 days". They started and we were impressed, but as the project lost momentum, we saw the flaws and the project dragged on. We have refurbished parquet ourselves before and we wanted to save time. O my word, we should have rather done it ourselves. The sanding machine had a dust bag. They then came in with a garden blower and blew the red dust all over the house! We couldn't believe it. Normally we use a feather duster to lightly take dust off walls and ceilings where we vacuum the last dust off the floor. This time around the red dust was forced inside the ceiling and roof trusses. Wardrobes were sealed using masking tape, but even that did not keep out the dust. One of their electricity leads had a loose connection and tripped the main power continuously while my washing machine, dishwasher and modems were switching on and off until we asked them to please attend to the dead short. Needless to say, we are still waiting for Dumi from DMS Flooring to finish the project, but he got his money ... and we got exactly what we expected to get. Unfortunately, the outcome is always the same ... We are never wrong. Don't pay until the job is done ... you will always lose.
Hellopeter should have an option for zero stars. The only people who will retire well in SA are the family in this family trust. Please do not believe a word they say. Do not possibly consider that the "bad publicity" could possibly be untrue. Whether you choose any of the options - life-right or profit sharing, you will get payment "after 30 days" - but bear in mind, you might have to wait 30 years. And if you are in a position where you have, unfortunately, paid your last few rand to secure a roof over your head in your later years, maybe consider the following - whether you chose the life-right or profit sharing option - you will not get paid. If you think you will get paid immediately, be very careful. The only people who adhere to this extremely one-sided, pathetic contract, are the same people who handed their last hard-earned money over to the "stinking wealthy". The "stinking wealthy" does not feel anything for anybody. I suggest that if you need to move to frail-care or your life situation changes, you rather hold on to the house. You may rent it out and use the money to finance the next phase of your life. Also, don't let Belvedere / Retiwerwellsa know - you will be given a deadline to vacate your house, but you will not get any money in return. So may I suggest that you do whatever you have to to survive. Let's stop the next million from getting into the hands of the "stinking wealthy". Hold onto your house at all costs until the "stinking wealthy" litigate - they have the money, after all. You can just sit back and wait to "settle out of court". It will cost you nothing - not a cent to litigate. And until then, earn money by letting the house. Other tenants will be too happy to get the benefit of a lovely house without risking capital to the unscrupulous "stinking wealthy". This will, in turn, open up a whole new rental market in these estates. Financial carers can utilise the rental income to fund frail-care. Let's all turn the tables. Let the "stinking wealthy" litigate ... and remember, the “stinking wealthy” don't get the key to the house that you bought until you see the cleared money in your bank. Remember, you must also get the interest of the capital that had been invested in “an interest bearing account”. Also be careful not to give them a “blank cheque” in the form of an Agreement of Sale. Who in their right mind will sell a property to someone where the “purchase amount” is confidential? Are they (and us) crazy, mad and round the bend? And then, the “stinking wealthy” start “fixing” a good house, and the costs are for the “seller” and the confidential maintenance amount is just deducted from the confidential purchase price. (Then the poor maintenance contractors must also litigate to get their money). In the meantime, keep your money to yourself, don't advise the "stinking wealthy" of your changed circumstances, don't litigate, don't allow show-houses, bad mouth them where- and whenever you can. If we can prevent the next million from getting into their "stinking wealthy" greedy hands, we will join them in playing their game. Let them litigate all the current owners. If we all follow the above advice, things will change. I see the “stinking wealthy” have distributed a PR-attempt video (remember the smirk grin on the popular TV show?). In the video they lie about contacting the municipality and SARS. May I remind you that there should be no requirement to contact the local council for clearance for services figures. Why would they even think of using that as an excuse? Local council and SARS?? Really? Oh wait, there’s more, even Covid19 now is being blamed for payments outstanding from 2017? Really? Enough is enough. Belvedere / Retirewellsa and their next name must fall. For long enough have sick, old, frail, dignified, honest people borne the brunt of this deceitful unethical family trust. Take back your power, OWNERS AND FINANCIAL CARERS - please don’t be bullied by the “stinking wealthy” any longer. A contract is only a contract if you believe it is a contract and law is only law if it is litigated in a court of law – a lesson the “stinking wealthy” in this case have taught us all too well.
