I don't understand why I always need to complain on Hello Peter to get my complaints sorted out. It is shocking how your team handles possible ***** cases and embarrassing to say the least that an external retailer was able to resolve the matter faster than you could, you put a hold on my account and all my debit orders are bouncing yet I did not stop the card. I am beyond frustrated that no one can resolve this matter as quickly as you can try to sell me a product during a distress situation. It is clear that you want me to close this account.
I strongly advise against using this company. There appear to be no proper quality checks in place, and orders are delivered incomplete. I purchased barstools on 1 December and had to do multiple follow-ups just to find out where my order was. The delivery eventually arrived on 10 December at 19:00, but the box was in very poor condition. Upon opening it, I discovered that the *****s required for assembly were missing. I have been in communication with a representative named Zoe, who has been responsive and helpful; however, as of today, 17 December, I am still unable to use the barstools because the company cannot confirm when the supplier will deliver the missing *****s to their warehouse. As a first-time customer, this experience has been extremely disappointing and will also be my last. This level of service is unacceptable.
In under three months of living at Southdowns View, the experience has fallen far short of expectations. When you invest in what’s marketed as a premium living space, you naturally expect higher standards—but this complex has unfortunately been a major disappointment. I'm now seriously reconsidering renewing my lease, and would strongly advise caution when dealing with M-t Developments. The overall experience has been both frustrating and overpriced. Raising issues with management is met with silence unless you repeatedly follow up—far from what one would expect at this price point. Here are just a few of the ongoing issues: Neglected Garden Maintenance: During peak season, the landscaping team went on leave without ensuring garden maintenance was handled. Residents were left to host guests in unkempt, overgrown outdoor areas. The response? "They are on leave—tenants must wait." Inexcusable. Pest and Wildlife Problems: The property was clearly not properly fumigated before construction. As a result, we've dealt with sightings of snakes (including cobras), oversized insects, ****roaches, spiders (including black widows), and stray animals. Loadshedding Misinformation: Prospective tenants are told the complex has a mini solar system to mitigate power outages. In reality, even basic lighting in common areas often fails, and we've had multiple electricity and water supply interruptions. Unreasonable Utility Charges: Utilities are managed via a third party, Fungi Utilities, whose charges are far higher than what a typical household of two would reasonably consume. These costs feel excessive and unjustified. Lack of Accountability from Management: M-t Developments shows minimal concern for tenant issues. Their role seems limited to collecting rent, with little to no support when problems arise. Despite paying upwards of R18,000 a month, the service and response from management remain disappointing. Their usual reply to complaints revolves around "working on communication and transparency," but after months of the same issues, this feels more like a scripted excuse than real improvement. It's a shame, as the units themselves are beautifully designed and have real potential. But without operational and management improvements, it's hard to justify the high cost. I truly hope M-t Developments takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful changes.
I recently moved into South Downs View and, for the past six months, have experienced persistent billing issues through Fungi Utilities, the third-party provider used by M-t Developments. Despite repeated follow-ups, Fungi has consistently failed to provide clear or accurate explanations for the discrepancies in my electricity billing. In April, my billing cycle ended, and I waited over 3 days before I could check my usage and recharge my account for the month of May,only to discover a negative wallet balance shortly after recharging. I was hit with a charge of an extra R700 for just 2.5 days of usage, when I did my own calculation off their system the deduction for the 2.5 days comes to +- R300, for a two-person household that had made considerable efforts to reduce consumption the total bill for April is unreasonable. This level of billing is more in line with a four-person household, and yet no one can explain how the charges were calculated. Fungi sent a vague notice claiming that the meter did not read properly during the final days of April and that the matter would be corrected. Since then, I’ve received no meaningful feedback. Reaching out to both Fungi and M-t Developments has been equally frustrating, neither provides updates, and inquiries are routinely ignored. A representative named Thembisile from Fungi has also been unresponsive. The lack of accountability from both Fungi Utilities and M-t Developments is alarming. It appears that residents are being overcharged arbitrarily, with little transparency or customer support. If you’re considering a property that uses Fungi Utilities, I strongly advise you to think twice. Budgeting becomes impossible when charges are unpredictable and unjustified. Proceed with caution or better yet, avoid altogether!
If you’re a fan of pink, this place is an absolute dream, and if you’re not, you just might leave with a newfound love for it! From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is nothing short of magical. The attention to detail in the decor is truly impressive, you can tell that every element has been thoughtfully curated to create a stunning, floral-inspired space. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food portions are generous, the meals are delicious, and the drinks are just as delightful. A special shoutout to the lovely woman who I believe was either the manager or owner her warmth and hospitality made a lasting impression. This was my first visit, but it certainly won’t be my last. A perfect blend of elegance, charm, and, of course, all things pink and floral, two of my absolute favorite things! ✨🌸💖
After initially rating my experience with 1 star, I received a call from a lady named Shandra (I hope I spelled that correctly). She handled my complaint exceptionally well, ensuring that the agent, Emmerentia, was informed and that my issue was addressed with urgency. Within 24 hours, my item was delivered, and I received regular updates on my order status. While I wish it hadn’t required escalation, what truly matters is how they turned the situation around and treated it with the urgency it deserved. Kudos to Shandra and the team for their outstanding customer service! I am so grateful for leadership like yours.
Avoid this brand at all costs! I placed an online order and requested an amendment two days later. Emmerentia asked me to pay the difference, which I did via instant payment, providing proof from my bank. A week later, she had the audacity to tell me their accounts department couldn’t verify the payment. How is that possible? Am I banking internationally that they still haven’t received it? I requested to speak to a manager and am still waiting. On top of that, I’ve been chasing Emmerentia all morning. I even tried their online chat, where Farieka transferred me to Emmerentia without a word, and Emmerentia didn’t even have the courtesy to start with a simple "Hello." Their service is embarrassing! I will never refer to anyone or consider your stores again!
I placed an order on January 4th; the item has not arrived. I have been contacting Takealot for a refund, and all they say is that they are investigating. They are refusing to refund me for an item they cannot deliver.
I booked and paid for their services well in advance, expecting a smooth moving day. However, on the day of the move, Thembisile called to inform me that the team would be an hour late. An hour later, no one had arrived or contacted me. When I called to follow up, I was informed that they would only arrive at 3 PM—three hours after the scheduled 12 PM arrival. There was no manager available to assist, and the consultants on the phone seemed clueless about resolving the issue. Thembisile promised to call back with an update but never did—I had to follow up myself. When the team finally arrived at 3 PM, they showed no urgency in loading the truck. Despite explaining the strict moving-in cut-off time at my new residence, I was left begging to avoid penalties for missing the deadline. To make matters worse, they forgot one of my items and had to return the next day to deliver it. Moving is already stressful, and this company only made it worse. Do not be misled by their positive reviews—I was, and it was a mistake. Save yourself the frustration and choose a more reliable company. I absolutely do not recommend them!
This company is a red flag DO NOT USE THEM! Asked this guy Prince to come out and give a quote to fix 49 geysers, even pushed him to send the quote so the board of trustees can consider their quote. Someone told him a bunch of lies to put him off from giving the quote and getting the business, he ignored me until I reviewed him on Google maps, and this is how he lacks professionalism and replies like this: Good day, don't take your anger on us, trying to use our company fighting your battles with other trustee in your complex, to try use us to be cheap and provide you with our compliance so that you get voted, how can you tell us to come at 12pm to give you a quote of 86 geysers whilst you have a deadline with insurance at 1pm, how can we provide a quote of 86 geyser in 1 hour. You even waste our time and fuel for nothing. If we have charge you call out, you could say we rob you, we come for free and you try use us fighting your battle, is it because we did not want to involve in your battles, what exactly did we do wrong to you that you rate us bad, or you have other agenda with us.You already have a resident plumbing company that do maintenance in your complex. Stop tarnishing our company name for nothing please we beg you. We wish you good luck. Just don't involve us please
