On 2 July 2025, I cancelled my Vumatel subscription after 6 years of excellent service. Unfortunately, things changed once their service/accounts department was restructured. My cancellation was accepted for 2 August (I have written proof). However, I was then offered a deal: remain connected for 3 more months at 50% of the fibre fee, until the end of October. I accepted, even though I vacated the property at the end of September. In August, I enquired whether I could still cancel the offer early, but was told this was not possible. Then, on 1 November, I was billed for a full month. When I queried this, I was informed that I had to cancel the line again—and that the cancellation would only take effect on 31 December 2025. The problem? Axxess never made it clear that the service would not automatically end after the 3‑month extension. They let customers assume it would. As a result, the new owners of my former property cannot apply for their own line because it is still registered in my name. If this isn’t entrapment of sorts, and false promises, then what is? Please do not fall into the same trap.
I was happy enough with their legal service I used perhpas 3/4 times until I tried to cancel my subscription of more than 5 years as I was moving overseas. It was a great struggle to get my service cancelled as they use AI to respond to request. I followed every rule to their auto email respnders. Yet, I still had to pay a subscription that was not due. I have been asking for a refund since 1 October, and still only get AI responses. I was told to phone them on their landline, but how to do this with great time differences and being overseas? Thus, do you want AI responders or humans who are fallible yet real?
Head Office staff very unfriendly and unhelpful when trying to explain a problem. Firstly, to pay an account is difficult, and finally I tried via their app, which took days to reflect the payment. Finally, worked out that you can pay through Mr Price with Capitec (not Miladys), but even this they couldnt tell me. Secondly, my second sim card from them that and neither has been RICA'd, and still waiting for the promised feedback. Their store staff is friendly, but the same can not be said for Head Office. Even when I did pay 3 months upfront, I still got a negartive credit score from them. I will close this account as soon as possible!!
Do not buy from these people. The company is registered as a trader, but it seems to be a shell company. I ordered books for over a R1000 on 24 November 2021, and I am still waiting. I have sent a number of emails, complained on their online bot, but still not a word from then. A SCAM?
I am extremely satisfied with the manner Clientele legal resolved my issue. A special thanks to Annemarie Baird, who was constantly communicating and negotiating to bring my case to a positive close. The minimal Clientele Legal subscription paid monthly is worth it as, in the end, a very expensive protracted battle would have cost much more with a private lawyer. Thank you for the great service.
It is a pity we cannot rate -10. I have been trying for over a year to get any feedback from this company regarding my Hollard Funeral policy. This company went bang for a reason. I as well as my lawyers have been requesting a statement of monies paid and owed, without any result!! I strongly recommend you do not deal with this store/company when it comes to insurance.
I have been dealing with this company since 2017 and have now come to the point that their services will never improve. Their withdrawal rates are super slow with very high costs. It is easier, cheaper and quicker to work with international companies and banks.
Love dealing with this company. Their deliveries are normally quicker than what they say, staff is friendly and quality of delivered products very good.
This company in South Africa represents Beaulifeinfo.com and Fitnesspreinfo.com (both based in the UK). They advertise on the internet and Pinterest their product. I came across them on Pinterest where I signed up for a free 30 trial on their product, and I only had to pay R70 delivery. However, within seconds they deducted for two companies (based in the UK) Beaulifeinfo.com R1 498.56 recurring and Fitnesspreinfo.com R1902.48 recurring without going through a checkout cart and confirmation. When I immediately approached this company for a refund, they told me that they would cancel my future payments, but they cannot do online refunds. They also promised to phone me but after numerous emails and 10 days later they still haven’t contacted me nor have I received any products. THEIR WEBSITE PROMISES A 30 DAY REFUND! I have all the emails to prove that they do not give refunds.
