I phoned Basumi to give me a quote for a burst pipe in my shower. They came out 5 days ago and I have not heard anything from them. When the guy came out, he did not seem to know why he was here. He did not take any notes or measurements or pictures of the tiles. He was in my house for 2 minutes, all the while arguing with me that I was wrong. I know I am not a plumber, but water is literally spraying through the walls... I phoned their office to say I was unhappy. The office phoned him and then he changed his story to exactly what I had said. And then they insisted I would have to pay a R700 call-out fee - FOR 2 MINUTES AND NO QUOTE! Btw their website states they give FREE quotes. He also did not take my details so I have no idea where he was planning to send the quote. It has been 5 days and I have not had so much as phone call from them. One would think a burst pipe is rather serious... And they can forget about getting R700 out of me, since they did not uphold their side of the bargain.
I sent a form in last September to reschedule my home loan so that all extra funds are subtracted from the capital. It happened for 2 months. Then I paid an amount into my home loan on 13 February but it was not subtracted from the capital and my repayment was not adjusted. I sent them an email on Friday, attaching the documentation, on Friday, They promised to get back to me in 48 working hours. It is the next Friday and I have still not heard from them and they have still not corrected their mistake.
I canceled my Discovery Insure policy because I could get a better price somewhere else. When I sent an Email asking if they could review my premiums, they said I was on the lowest rate they could offer. But when I phoned to cancel the policy they were all of a sudden prepared to lower my premiums - which were still higher, while insuring me for less. I specifically asked the lady I spoke to if I would get my Vitality Drive cashback and she assured me that I would, since I was still insured by Discovery until 31 October and I still paid for Vitality Drive for October. I put in R1000 worth of petrol in October, which means I should get back R500. Cashback is paid between the 10th and the 15th. It is already the 16th and no cashback!
I received a phone upgrade, but called on Friday 5 Oct to have it sent back. RAM is supposed to pick it up and take it back to Vodacom. I phoned Vodacom a second time and they said that a pick-up was booked. It has been a week and RAM has not even contacted me to organise a pick-up.
A Vodacom call centre agent called me to organise an upgrade, but he lied to me about the specs of the phone. The phone call was Thursday 4 October at 10:10 - if someone from Vodacom actually wants to listen to a recording of the conversation. So I called to cancel the upgrade and told them to come pick up the phone (because I have a 14 day cooling-off period before they charge me for the upgrade) I phoned on the day it was delivered - Friday 5 Oct. Someone from Vodacom phoned me to hear if I asked for a collection - not a word of apology about their incompetent, lying call centre operator! She said that she would check back with me on Tuesday to confirm if the pic-up has been done. It is now a week later and no call or pick-up. I hope they don't think that they are going to charge me for an upgrade or force me into a 24-month contract if the phone is picked up after 14 days!!! I don't even know why I am surprised anymore about their utter lack of service, since it has happened so many times.
Game's customer service is non-existent. I received my monthly bill and it stated that I have an astronomical amount of money outstanding. I have sent them 3 e-mail's requesting a recon of my account, explaining why my calculations are different from theirs. To date I have had no response, not even an acknowledgement of any of my e-mail's. Thus far they have blatantly ignored me and no-one seems interested in the service part of customer service or in giving me answers about my account.
I got a call from the Vodacom call centre to convince me to upgrade. The call centre agent said he was offering me "today's special" but when I Googled the phone that was the normal going price. Worst of all this agent LIED to me to get a sale. When I asked about the specs of the phone he said 2 gig RAM and 16 gig on board memory. When I got the phone it was exactly half: 1 gig RAM and 8 gig on board memory. I never would have taken the phone if he had told me the truth. And this is why I have not upgraded yet , because Vodacom are big fat liars and their service sucks!
Mid City's customer service is non-existent! I have not received my water and sanitation account for the month or an SMS reminder with the amount. I have sent 4 e-mails and phoned but received no reply - or a call-back as promised, because the consultant was on the phone with someone else. And now I suppose they are going to charge me interest for their lack of service...
I have written 2 Hello Peter reviews, sent 2 emails, spent hours on the phone and sent many feedback reports. Each time I was promised they would call back in 24-48 hours. Still no feedback. They phoned once but I answered too late. They left a message saying they would phone back in 48 hours. It has been a week and no feedback. My contract expires in June and then I will be taking my number to a different network. This is disgusting! I have 3 contracts and Vodacom makes bucket loads of money out of me every month and they can't even be bothered to phone me back!
I phoned to enquire about my data contract. I gave the consultant the number in question. After holding the line for at least 10 minutes she told me I forfeited my data. I was very upset and asked to speak to a manager. I was asked to hold the line 2 more times. Eventually I was transferred but NOT to a manager. The second consultant told me the same thing. Then it transpired that they were referring to the wrong number. I asked again to speak to a manager. I was asked to hold the line 2 more times. Eventually I was told that the supervisor was busy and he would phone me back. When he eventually phoned back he couldn't give me an answer either. He said that he had no proof that I was given information, which, according to him is wrong. Why are we then told that conversations are recorded? Or does he not know how to retrieve a recording? Eventually, after holding the line again he said that he would log a query and it would take 5 days. Really, how long does it take to retrieve information from a computer? Al I have done the last few months is fight with Vodacom and I am now seriously sick of this bad service.
