Be careful when ordering from PlumbIt Online. Rather CALL and confirm stock if your plumbing needs are urgent, as mine was. The 2 - 3 days delivery was not a reality for me. https://support.plumbitonline.co.za/support/solutions/articles/153000138818-how-long-does-it-take-for-my-parcel-to-be-delivered-to-me- I ordered and received my goods 8 days later - but after I kicked up a fuss as emails were ignored (why has this become the business norm?) I was a bit foolish to think that a business in Centurion can manage to deliver an order to Randburg a mere 43km away. In the space of a week I received 2 other orders from Cape Town - I gave that company 5 stars. Also note Plumblink and PlumbIt are different companies - the websites have a similar look but they are completely different.
Bought items twice from this company that is based in Cape Town and received it in record time. I'm in Johannesburg. They are prompt with online email queries and are keen to fix customer problems. I received a discount on my second order when one of the gifts were damaged in transit in my first order. It rare to find good customer service in South Africa nowadays, so I highly recommend this online store.
Be careful when ordering from PlumbIt Online. The website give you a false sense of available stock. I ordered and am waiting a week for parts that showed as available. In the space of a week I received 2 orders from Cape Town. This place is in Centurion and have not managed to deliver an order to Randburg a mere 43km away. Also be aware that Plumb Link and PlumbIt are completely separate companies - so if your local Plumb Link has stock PlumbIt does not draw stock from them and you will have to wait possibly for up to 20 working days. So don't book a plumber and suffer your water leaks until PlumbIt can source stock. More insane business policies that make the customers suffer. They also don't answer emails, this "online" store, so phone them instead.
After seeing all the terrible reviews I'm one of a long list of Makro's victims. What an absolutely dreadful online shopping experience. Don't buy from Makro online, visit the store, pay, and walk out with your goods in hand. Makro and all their staff should just quit their online endeavor and save the thousands of people from misery. So, I bought goods online, selected a delivery date convenient for work, and paid. Order ID MAK7977968. Then the pain started - Makro informs me they are splitting the delivery to 2 different couriers. I used their WhatsApp platform to arrange delivery on the same day at least, for work reasons. Even though we made the delivery arrangements, the courier kept calling saying they were on their way with the goods. I managed to take delivery of the first half of the order. But there was / is a constant disconnect between Makro and their couriers, that sounds simple to fix, but neither was bothered to make an effort. So, for a week neither Makro nor the couriers were able to make the delivery on the arranged day. (Checkers 60/60 save these idiots from themselves) I couldn't take any more time off work and was forced to cancel the order. More drama awaited. Even the cancellation process is complicated with Makro. You can cancel using the WhatsApp platform, but there is no reference or confirmation. You have to call and arrange it, then the call centre calls the branch to cancel and that takes ages. (Because even Makro doesn't have a direct line of communication with Makro. Beyond belief ...its called a computer people.) Instead of refunding the invoiced amount, they issued a credit note with different quantities of the goods and I was refunded short by R270. This is an ongoing problem. (I had to get the ombud involved) It is impossible to speak to anyone other than the IDIOT call centre agents - they'll transfer your call; it rings for 10 to 15 minutes and then hang up. So, save yourself from the dilemma called Makro online.
Don't pay your fines via this platform a few others do exist. Check the reviews before paying. I wish I knew about this **** website before making a payment. I'm not sure why AARTO still has them listed as an approved payment vendor. I have made them aware, but like all government departments they are slow or couldn't care less. I made a payment in 2021 and it still shows unpaid. You get no response via email and no telephone numbers exist. I cannot renew my car license as a result. AARTO now in 2024 has a direct platform to pay called www.aartopay.co.za. Remember to get receipts and references. These payment platforms are all sketchy AF.
With the poor state of customer services that South Africa is currently in, I don't usually expect much from the public service industry. But I have praise the the exceptional service I received from George and his team of tree fellers. https://www.lumberjacktreefelling.co.za/ What a professional team. From the quotation I received almost instantly via a picture I sent of the tree right down to the cleaning after they had left. They arrived ready to work. I explained what and how I wanted the tree felled. And that was it. They came fully equipped, 2 bakkies, ladders, ropes, chain saws, leaf blowers, rakes and brooms. They were priced below 3 other quotes. And they made sure not to damage my other well established plants growing around the trees. It was really a no nonsense service, I highly recommend these guys.
Hi, I had a terrible experience shopping at ClickNow. I ignored my logical sensible self after reading the other poor reviews of this online retailer and decided to go for broke with a small purchase of 3 items - the other big dominating online retailer needs competition so I did it. I made the purchase in the first week of December and after much agony of texting and follow up texts (lots were ignored) - and the phone is never answered - I finally received my refund in January 2024, of the goods that were not in stock. So yes, there are lots of items to purchase on this site and the prices are reasonable but the service is appalling - give it a year or so until they sort out their admin and delivery network then risk buying here.
I wish I had read the reviews before buying Ingco tools. I was hypnotised by the sale and unfortunately ignored logic, which is to check the reviews first. I bought a few cordless Ingco tools from Northern Bolt and Tool and bought the charger via Takealot. The charger, hardly 1 year later, is broken so I'm stuck with tools I can no longer use. I've been trying to contact Ingco SA to claim a replacement charger, as it has a 1 year warranty, which they gladly charm you with, but try and redeem the warranty - its impossible (even in this day and age of social media) A big red flag (in hind sight) - the contact page has no email addresses nor phone numbers nor physical address. You can fill in their "get in touch" page until you are blue in the face, there is no reply. So just to reiterate the previous reviews - stay away from Ingco Tools.
(aka K.Carrim) If you have a strong stomach for incompetence then by all means make a purchase from this online store. It has a wide variety of goods and all the bells and whistles that go with an online store but the people behind the business are unfortunately out of their depth - to put it nicely. I made an online purchase and a month later still did not receive any goods and ended up having to threaten people so I could recover my money. Online shopping shouldn't have to be confrontational. If you are purchasing tools check out https://northern-bolt-tool.myshopify.com/ - they are super efficient.
Wow, the fastest delivery from a hardware store ever. Ordered on a Saturday afternoon and my goods arrived Monday morning at 09:30. Excellent work! I hope they keep up this level of service.
