Poor quaility appliance and disgusting after service.
I will never recommend any Defy appliance to anyone again. Just over a year after purchasing a brand-new washing machine and tumble dryer, both appliances broke. The quality of the appliances is poor, and the after-sales service has been absolutely unacceptable. We are only two people in the household, and the appliances are used for approximately three to four loads over a weekend. First, the washing machine stopped spinning. A part was replaced, but no explanation could be provided as to why the failure occurred. Then, approximately one or two months later, the tumble dryer also broke. To date, more than six weeks later, I still do not have my tumble dryer back. Technicians attempt to arrive without appointments, as though customers do not have jobs or other commitments. They then arrive without the necessary spares, after which it takes two to three weeks for parts to arrive. Thereafter, they return without all the required spares, collect the appliance for repairs, bring it back still not functioning, and then collect it again. There has been virtually no communication throughout this process, requiring me to continuously follow up myself. Calls often go unanswered, and I have to phone multiple times in the hope that someone eventually picks up.

On 13 Oct which is a mere 4 days thereafter I received another document from MiWay stating that the annual fee is 9.5% higher for the new year despite not having ever claimed from them as well as the fact that my vehicles have depreciated. To add insult to the robbery, the excess is also increased by 10%. How can MiWay depreciate a vehicle's value & increase the excess by 10% while also increasing the premium by 9.5%?<br> <br> So assuming that the vehicles depreciate by say 10% per year, MiWay is effectively increasing premiums by 20% not to even mention the increase in excess. I had the misfortune of having to claim for an incident which occurred 19 Sept 2015 (Claim Ref CKP***/2). The assessor came to see me at least 2 weeks later and on the 6 Oct he advised that the claim was approved and that pay out would take between 3 to 5 working days (I SAY AGAIN 3TO 5 WORKING DAYS). This is when all the fun begun. According to my calendar these days expired 14 Oct. I have been in touch with the claims dept since 13 Oct and have sent no less than 50 e-mails to and fro. THEY CLAIM IN THEIR ADS AND PAPER WORK TO YOU THAT YOU A NOW PART OF THE ROYAL FAMILY. ROYAL FAMILY MY FOOT. YOU PART OF THAT GROUP WHEN YOU PAY YOUR PREMIUMS BUT WHEN YOU CLAIM YOU BECOME THE COURT JOKER BEEN TAKEN FOR A FOOL. As per the last mail received I was advised that my funds would be paid 16 Oct or over the weekend. Guess who remains their fool STILL NO FUNDS PAID OVER. Yes,no service at all. Carrying a MTN pay as you go to make calls, having all sorts of trouble and calling everyone,but nothing gets resolved. I am paying for a service, There is no discount for the optional MTN phone I have to carry around. Vodacom is the Slaap Tiger. Tested it from here to Pretoria and back against MTN and Cell C. I consider it breach of contract. Yes they'll phone me again and ask me to be patient. Tell that to the pregnant woman who almost lost her baby because she could not reach her husband to take her to hospital due to your bad signal. Vodacom cares nothing about their rural clients. Nothing happened. Last week (7 January 2016) I received a call from Sthembiso Dlamini asking for my proof of banking details and copy of my ID claiming there's an issue with my bank. She did not confirm receipt of my documents although I requested it and received a read receipt. It is now the 11th of January 2016, after multiple calls, emails and expressing my dissatisfaction at the service, the initiation fee is still in my account and I am no closer to receiving my Explorer or getting DSTV. Immediately after installing the unit,the EPS light went on and never off again. In April,their QA came and told me they will take responsibility of fixing the car. Guess what? The last call I received was from a guy called Roy and he promised to have some lady to call me with the cancellation, I guess she is still enjoying her lunch because that is what I was told. I decided to cancel their debit a month ago and I am surprised that they were quick enough to put my account in the collections.<br> <br> I want my contract terminated because I have moved up and down fixing the car myself for the amount of 8000 rands and having to travel more than 800 kilometres three times. Bad Service & False Advertising Display
