Early December we started asking around for quotes to rent a vehicle for the holidays. MotoRent was part of the list of companies we contacted for quotations. During our initial correspondence with them we wanted to rent a vehicle for 2 weeks but were advised that what we would pay for the 2 weeks would be more or less equal to what they charge for a monthly rental. So, naturally, we then decided we might as well opt for the monthly rental. We were advised we would either be issued a VW Polo Vivo or a Toyota Etios (depending on what was available at the time of collection). No problem. We paid the deposit required to secure the rental. In addition, we paid the R200 required to remove the company's branding from the car since we didn't want this. Date of collection rolls around , mid December. We pay the balance on the invoice. My husband makes contact with the office to ascertain what time he can collect, etc. At first they try to tell him that he can collect after 12PM. He did not accept this as the day of collection was a day we had paid for, and told them as much. They said fine, come at 9AM. He went. I checked in with him while he was there, which was a total of more or less 2 hours. I asked him is everything progressing well, he told that he's extremely disappointed but that he's on his way home and that I must see for myself. Explain to me why my husband rolled up to our house in a beaten and torn up Toyota Etios??? I could not believe my eyes. I asked him with tears in my eyes "is this where our money went, is this a joke?" He said yes and explained to me that from what he could gather at the company's offices, they actually did not have a vehicle available for us and that they went to great lengths to get this Etios, which was apparently with another client for almost a year. I was in disbelief and disgusted that a company would actually have the audacity to not only have a car in this condition in their fleet but to issue it to a paying customer?? Unbelievable! We didn't have a choice but to drive that heap of metal around. Not only because we've already paid R 8300 (R6000 for the rental, R1500 deposit, R600 insurance and R200 for the removal of the signage), but also because we were in the middle of the festive season and had no time to make an alternative plan. What an embarrassment, everywhere we went people looked at us funny, in traffic other motorists looked at us with that "you're a terrible driver, judging by the condition of your car" stare in their eyes. It was an absolute nightmare for us. To add insult to injury, we paid for the signage to be removed but inside the car the company's logo was EVERYWHERE, we might as well have saved our R200. It's safe to say we will NEVER make use of this company again. I am personally making it my mission to warn anyone against them since I feel like they took us for a ride and we were the bud of an inside joke. I'm sick to my stomach with the conduct of this company and if I could give them a zero rating I would do just that. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves!
I made my first order with them somewhere earlier this year. Everything came and I was so happy to discover a new store with affordable prices and quality goods. I made my second order on the 26th of November, as of today I have not recieved my order. On the 27th of November I recieved an email from them stating my order is with the courier. No tracking details, nothing of the sort. I didn't think to much of it because it was similar the first time and my order can within 3 days. Here we are. 8 Days later with no update from Dunns or whatever courier partner they use. I can't track the parcel and I'm not getting any responses via email, their website or social media. This is so disheartening. I went to find reviews from other customers today and to my complete horror it would seem that I'm not the only victim of Dunns. R1200 worth of clothes that I can't track with no help from the company. This is truly pathetic.
I made an order on the 23rd of July and bought 2 rings to the value of R3000. I consequently made two exchange requests on the order. Once because I decided on a different design and then due to the fact that the new rings were made of two different shades of gold. Eventually on the 25th of August I received the two rings I am basing this review on. Here's my issue : I have had these rings for around 5 weeks. During that time I've worn the rings 4 times in total, the longest of which was for a consecutive 3 hours. Each time taking precaution not to expose the rings to any chemicals, friction or materials that might harm the plating since I knew it wasn't solid gold. My current situation is that the rings have significant scuffing and discoloration on them. How is this possible!? I have gold plated jewelry from other brands that I have had FOR YEARS that don't look like the rings currently do. I bought it at a fraction of what I paid this company and I've worn it much more than I've worn the rings. Based on this previous experience with gold- plated jewelry I had a certain expectation and these products did not meet it. I tried contacting the company to resolve the issue before publicizing my experience but I have not heard back. In my personal opinion this is not good client service .
I feel like this company is falsely advertising one thing but delivering something else. I bought two rings from them in July then consequently did two exchanges on the rings. Once because I didn't like the first design and then again because the two rings were different shades of gold. Mind you, I had to pay for the second exchange even though the mistake was on their end . I finally received the two rings I am basing this review on, on the 25th of August. Between then and now, which is a time frame of 5 weeks, I have only worn the rings for a handful of times. YET, the rings are all scuffed up and discolored DESPITE me taking the utmost care while wearing them. I can hardly believe it since the website claims that their rings are "extremely durable to the elements". I cannot think of anything I did while wearing these rings that would warrant their condition. I feel so ****med because I have other gold-plated jewelry that I've had for much longer and worn much more, that look so much better than these rings currently do. I could have taken my money to American Swiss or Sterns and bought something of much greater quality, at half the price. My R3000 is now down the drain and I have no rings to wear. To add insult to injury, the company has not made any effort to get back to me in this regard, despite me taking the time to share my problem with them BEFORE publicizing my experience. Safe to say I will not be a returning customer and I will be advising any and everyone to steer clear of them too. You'd be better off buying rings at Value, they'll last much longer.

Please heed my warning DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM THEM! I have bought an item for 8k online, 8 days ago. I have no product or no real explanation of what my money went towards or even how to get it back. The customer service on Whatsapp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook even telephonically is TERRIBLE. I get the same answer from everyone "the matter has been escalated and the relevant team will be in contact". I have not heard from them in 4 whole working days. Not a single soul! So if you love your peace please don't buy from this company. Their service is HORRIBLE. The more I read the feedback from other customers the more I realize I should done my homework on this company BEFORE i bought from them. So if you are reading this, please learn from my mistake and DON'T BUY FROM THEM. All you will get for your money is frustration.
Last year, when we made the (carefully considered) decision to move our daughter from traditional schooling to online schooling, the thought seemed not only intimidating but scary. To say the least! We had been having difficulty with public schooling for a while by then and our once out-going and care-free child was slowly turning into an anxiety stricken introvert who didn't even want to get up for school in the morning. We saw a decline in her health and her overall lust for life. As a mother this was a worrisome decline to watch happen. It broke my heart, so something had to change. The options for online schools were many but we were looking for something extremely specific, so we did our research THOROUGHLY. Koa Academy was by far the only option that seemed to suite not only our daughter's needs but also ours as parents. It's safe to say that the very first few e-mails between myself and Teagan was what really solidified our final decision. She was professional yet so warm and friendly. I could ask her anything and I would receive a response in a timely fashion, something I value very much in my everyday life and I was very impressed by. She explained everything in detail and nothing I asked was ever too inconvenient or silly to answer. She was simply there to help. We enrolled. Once school commenced for our child we were further impressed by her pod teacher, Raeesha Khan. She facilitated our daughter's transition so beautifully and was always there to help and encourage, no matter what was needed. Those first couple of weeks were a lot of work but thereafter we could breathe a sigh of relief. The worst was over and we started to feel part of the Koa family. Education is extremely important in our family and to be part of Koa Academy means our academic standards are not only met but often exceeded. The beauty of the way the school functions is that our daughter is not only taught what she needs to know academically, but she is in a space that allows and encourages her to learn independently. This is something I am grateful she is learning at such a young age and will be able to carry with her in life. The content of each subject is brilliantly selected and encourages her to work hard at achieving her goals. It genuinely interests her! The cherry on top of this cake is that we are starting to see our child slowly grow back into the person she once was. All the confidence she lost from getting bul**** and neglected in big classrooms where teachers simply could not tend to each learner, is slowly starting to seep through again. She is more expressive, she is more accepting of herself and all that makes her special and she is SO much more healthy and relaxed. She went from being a child I was seriously considering getting professional help for, to an outspoken young lady who speaks and acts with self-assurance. This is what Koa has done for her in a very short time. I would suggest Koa to any parent considering making the change from traditional schooling to something else. Something else being peace of mind. Something else being the ability to give our children a space to be themselves and be celebrated for it. Something else being having a schooling option that works better for us and our kids. Koa Academy is everything that is right with online schooling and I would just like to thank principal Mark and the entire team for all their hard work. You guys make it look so effortless but rest assured that your efforts do not go unnoticed. You are the absolute best and we're proud to say that we're part of the Koa family.
I really love this store and have been a faithful client for many years now. We had a store where I previously stayed but I moved to another city last year where there isn't a physical store anywhere close to me. Hence, I have had to resort to making use of the online order option. Of the few times I have ordered, the delivery of my orders has become consistently slower. I am currently waiting 7 days for my order. They only dispatched my order to the courier after 3 days of me placing the order, even though the website promises a 24 hour dispatch time. 7 ENTIRE DAYS after paying R75 for delivery. I pay half of this at other business and I get my orders withing 3 business days. To add insult to injury, emails and messages have gone unanswered. I am not receiving any communication from CosCon and the information I was able to get was only thanks to the courier company they use, I am tracking my order via THEIR site. They even **** to me on their own their Whatsapp by stating that the package is with the courier and that they are awaiting a waybill number, when actuality, the courier only collected the package at their warehouse 2 days later. I think this company has so much potential to grow into a mega success but they need to figure out their online deliveries. It has to change. It's too expensive and it takes to long to get an order. In addition their client service is pitiful. Whoever is managing communication lines to clients need to be fired and replaced. This will be the last order I place with them. I would rather go and pay Clicks and Dischem more money. At least I will have peace of mind that I will get my products in a timely fashion.
What a TERRIBLE business.I ordered something last week Sunday already,specifically as a Christmas present for someone.Then ,after multiple attempts at trying to reach you by email,I finally got in touch with someone over the phone on Wednesday.Turns out my order has never been processed!Mind you I have paid everything but no confirmation of receipt of payment or anything of the sort,I even sent them a POP .So then this lady tells me they don't have my address,but they can send the parcel via courier the next the....which was last week Thursday....so that it may arrive by Monday,the day before Christmas.Okay fine,I give her my address ,still no feedback or follow up.By Thursday afternoon I still do not have a tracking number or anything.So I call again. "Oh ma'am what's your address please".....*** I gave it to you less than 24 hours ago...."We lost it just give it again" .I gave it again....still no follow up or tracking number or anything.Needless to say it is Christmas today and I had to spend more money to get something else.This kind of conduct is disgusting to say the very least.I personally think you should just close your business because you do not have the foundation to succeed .I do not care if some sorry sod got around to sending that parcel yesterday and am hoping I am fine with receiving it later,I want my money back.Which judging by other comments on your page,is gonna be another hassle.Just DISGUSTING.
Im dire need of client service training.Between the insolence,the slang and the fact that they just plain refused to accept any responsibility for the fact that they ripped me off ,I concluded that these people do not have the basic understanding of how business works.Besides that they are very racist and arrogant.Amateur to say the very least.
I have been asking for my policy with outsurance ti be cancelled,but judging by the number of complaints from others I cab see that Outsurance apparently does not do cancellations.They keep deducting money from my account I'm losing a lot of money because of thia and they just don't get back to you.I'm seriously considering legal action
