I bought a brand new polo vivo 2022 model at VW Hatfield in August 2022. on Friday the 13 June 2025 my husband was washing the car outside our gate, he then drove the car in the yard after washing it parking it just outside the garage. moments later when he was done cleaning the car inside he started the car to get in the garage but the car wouldnt start. he thought the problem was with the battery because the car was ok just a couple of minutes ago. the was already an EPC light on the small screen or whatever they call it, he however thought it was the battery and then he jam started the car correctly, positive with positive and negative with negative, but the car wouldnt start even after. he pushed the car inside the garage and we decided to see what will happen the next day. on saturday he attempted started the car, but still nothing and he did not understand what could be the problem and this time it was not just the EPC light on the screen but an engine light was now on. i was the one who even mentioned it to him that there is another light, he told me it was an engine light. he opted to call his colleague who has a work shop to come diagnose the car, his colleague only came sunday and the report he sent to my husband indicated a lot of errors on the car, report which we have and cannot attach here. i texted th sales lady who helped me buy the car on monday 16 June 2025 and she advised me to call the branch since she was no longer working at that branch. i called Hatfield VW on Tuesday morning and they informed me to call VW road assistance, i did and the car was towed. they called that very day to say the mechanic will give me a call to advise what is the problem with the car once they have diagnosed the car. they called me only on Thursday in the morning, they mechanic wanted me to explain what happened which i did. later now that day around 4pm i receive a call that warranty wont cover, the computer box was damaged when we were jumping the car, we did not do it correctly. as expected, this was bound to happen, our daily story when it comes to manufactures having to repair a damage under warranty. firstly the car was not starting even before my husband jump started the car, he thought of that after a while trying to start the car and he could see it was not starting, secondly the was an EPC light before he even thought of jumping the car, thirdly we are very certain he did it properly but the car was not starting even. the dealer is informing us that the computer box was damaged because of the jumping however the car was already not working/starting. we have the report and we would like them to prove to us in writing and share the report of what they are saying. we are now suppose to pay +34k for a car that is not more than 3 years, that i still under warranty. this is a problem that most consumers are facing everyday when they are suppose to be assisted under warranty, the manufacture will try and deny and find fault on the consumer's part, we are powerless and do not understand nor even know this things which is easy for them to get away with it. this is a fairly new car, my husband is always careful and i can assure you the car started having the problem even before he attempted jumping the battery. we need proof and we need to know it can not be covered in writing as we are not prepared to just let this go.
I bought my polo vivo 2022 model, August 2022 at Hatfield VW brand new car. on Friday the 13 June 2025 i asked my husband to wash the car for me when i came back from work. he drove the car outside the yard to our drive way and washed it. after he drove it back in the yard. after cleaning it inside when he was about to drive it back to the garage the car would not start. at first he thought maybe it was my battery , on the screen the car was showing EPC light, and he then swapped the batteries from his car to mine but the car would still not start, now there was a engine light. he pushed it in the garage and next day he asked his colleague who has a workshop to come diagnose the car, the guy came and on the report it showed so many errors. i called the sales lady who helped me buy the car and she advised me to call VW my car is still under warranty. i did exactly that and they sent a tow truck on Tuesday the 17 August 2025. today 19 June 2025 they called me in the morning to explain what happened i explained what happened and that my husband swapped the battery thinking it was a battery. later today 19 June 2025 at around pass 4pm, they called me to saw the problem with the car is the computer box it burned when we jammed started the car and the computer box will need to be repaired for R34 000.00, this is a brand new car, not even more than 3 years am already expected to pay R34 000.00 for it. i do not understand anything about my cars, my husband is shocked and am expected to pay R34k, where do i get the money. this is a new car. i do not understand how that computer box burned or whatever it is that happend. all i know is this is a brand new car not more than 3 years and i do not have 34k. am so heartbroken and i do not know where to turn to for help because i know my husband did nothing to the car.
I cancelled my music subscription months back, it could be a year since I cancelled it. So I have been paying for storage, I did not take note that they have actually been deducting for both storage and music subscription. Only today am seeing they deducted for storage and music which made me check my subscription and only subscription I have is that of a storage I don’t understand why they have been deducting my money all this while. I go to my bank statement to see that indeed they have been for months even a year now. I want them to cancel it cause I can’t on my side. I want they to refund me all my money because I cancelled that subscription a long time ago.
I have a data contract with them which is coming to an end soon, I called that am putting my notice and am not interested with proceeding with contract.. I didn’t have any issues with them honestly.. now I get a call to upgrade and the lady from upgrade who called me is Samantha. She was convincing me to take an airtime contract as an upgrade but I said I am not sure cause I need to fix my finances, I only told her to call me back, today she calls me, was not even sure of my name she ended up saying “can I speak to the contract holder, I asked her who is the contract holder, that is only when she bothered checking my name. After she was busy asking me how the contract is so far, I use up all my data, but am like no I don’t use all my data, I get 50gig from vodacom every month that I dont finish cause my balance is 103gig right now… girl didn’t even wana listen… what annoyed me and the reason for my complaint is when I asked why she calling cause I was just not happy in the manner in which she was speaking to me from the very beginning was when she said I called u to assist you with your vodacom number rudely and she hanged up even before I asked her assist me with what, do I need assist? I don’t know this things… but if they could listen to that call lady was rude, had an attitude even if I were to renew the contract or upgrade definitely that call was going to make me cancel the upgrade instantly.. Samantha u are super rude for a person who works with people, if I were vodacom I would take u and make u work at the back not with people.
I made payment beginning of the year for stationery for my son. Then my son did not get placed at that school after they gave me details of where to pay for stationery… I sent them an email advising them of the unfortunate event that I had to find my son another school and I requested for refund. They said it will be proceeded and I understood but it has been long and I have been communicating with a certain lady via WhatsApp who is not ignoring me.. the WhatsApp number I have been communicating with is 0727764771.. like I don’t even know what to do now… I have tried calling with no success I have run out of options… am tired of trying to get my refund I need it as soon today… I have sent my details and I just want my money
I bought a 75 inch Flat screen TV last year November during Black Friday. This year October the Tv started giving me problems, the screen was not displaying anything but I could see the TV was on. I went to Game to report and they logged a call with Hisense since it is still under warranty. It took them a week to come have a look at the TV, then they left with it and it has been more than a week now since they took the TV. We haven’t had a TV for more than two weeks, am talking about a TV I bought last year.. this morning I have been trying to call their repair centre to follow up on when are they bringing the TV back and I get cut off twice already. All I want is the TV or my money back cause seriously I can’t continue like I don’t have a TV and how long can one go without a TV… I want my money or TV back.
I still haven’t received my money after I transferred it to the inactive account by mistake which I have been on numerous occasion requested they remove it from my profile or banking app… I have been trying to get hold since they said they have sent a request to get my money since last week Thursday to now.
I had a credit card with FNB years back, I went under debt review and eventually came out. That account was still owing as I couldn’t pay the debt review as well.. the account prescribed and I got letters from creditors confirming this and I was removed from debt review. Now I use FNB again and that account still appears on my app I don’t know why… this is probably the four time I had made a mistake trying to transfer money into my saving account and I end up transferring it into that old credit card account by mistake. I have raised this so many times with FNB to have the account removed from my app because I make mistakes thinking am transferring to my saving with no one assisting me. Each time I would contact them to transfer my money back it would take me days trying to get help. As I am reporting this I have been to their secure chat and spoke to numerous agents who have been transferring me from this one to the other, lastly am told I should start another chat tomorrow to be put to credit card debt review department for assistance which I don’t get cause they can see I transferred money. Am so angry
So it happened that I have been depositing my daughter’s transport money/ fare monthly into the wrong account number since January 2024. I was not aware until the owner of the school transport gave me a call that I haven’t been paying since January 2024. I was shocked because I have been depositing the fund monthly and sometimes I would pay double covering the next month. I was not panicking at all when I found out as I thought the bank would help me contact and communicate with the person who has been receiving them money to make some sort of arrangements on how I will recover the money. In total I have paid R5600 to the incorrect account. On Friday the 02 August 2024 I went to the branch at Ya rona Building at Alexander for assistance. Yoh the shock of my life when I was told they can’t assist me as they attempted to call the person and can’t get hold of the person. So since they can’t get hold of the person they will not be able to assist me recover my money… I don’t know how that is possible as people deposit funds into wrong account number and the bank is able to assist to recover because the money was not even due to the person even in the first place. I am so disappointed and frustrated at the service at this bank. I need help to recover the money as I need to pay the transport money for my daughter
