I tried to give Ocean Basket Irene Mall another chance after the bad experience i had with them last year, however, this time they gave me 8 pieces of chips and 3 tubes of calamari. Then people wonder why we'd rather eat in and not out.
All the staff are very helpful, friendly and thoughtful.... from sales to maintenance and finance. They have even offered me a 50% discount on my excess if I settle it once-off, which they initially allowed me to pay off over a period of time .............. well done to the brain behind this company who has a great mind for customer retention.
I bought the platter for R299 at Ocean Basket Irene Village Mall on 25-07-2025, stopped there after work to get a takeaway. To my horror when i arrived home there were 5 pieces of chips and 5 pieces of calamari, everything was so oily. My partner and i ate it anyway and woke up to an early Saturday Morning of stomach running and vomiting. I contacted the store via email as there is no contact number for them, to inform them of this but up to now have not gotten any response. The previous weekend, I bought the same platter from centurion mall, and their portions and quality of the food was perfectly fine. The waiter even offered be a drink on the house whilst waiting for my food.
I placed an online order on 27 March 2025 and received a cracked screen protector. When i called the call centre i was told to login and click on returns, however, there is no invoice reflecting on my profile, but the money was deducted from my bank. I keep on calling the call centre but each time they start logging the inquiry from scratch. I am so disappointed and disgusted by the service received. 2 items were cancelled after i paid, still awaiting a refund and the rest of the items were delivered one by one and by different couriers. I will never order from Makro online again because now i am stuck with a defective item which i can't use and they are refusing to refund me
Dr Amy Klopke at medipark rooihuiskraal is a Dr who has a passion for treating her patients. She does a thorough check up and even called me at 21h30 the same evening to give me feedback regarding my blood results.

I visited Kloof Mediclinic's ER yesterday in the hopes of having a holistic check up as most Dr's rooms have limited facilities in respect of pathology and radiology tests. The reason for my visit was an extremely sore throat and ears which had deteriorated just over a week. I was assisted by a young female Dr who diagnosed me with oesophagal reflux disease. She said the sore throat was a result of the acid pushing up into my throat. She gave me a script for some acid tablets, a throat spray and panado. This morning I called the ER and requested the receptionist to ask the Dr to refer me to an ENT specialist as my throat had gotten worse and the pain more severe. PShe responded with an attitude that I needed to come back and confirmed that I would be billed again when I reiterated the latter. I then decided to consult with my gp who prescribed some antibiotics, anti-inflammatory pain killers and probiotics. It's been 3 hours after I've taken the medication and I feel much better already. I just thought I'd share that atrocious experience I had with Mediclinic..... won't be going back there if my life depended on it 🤧
Netcare Milpark Hospital has an exceptional Nurse, Sister Lisa, at the burns unit. She goes the extra mile for her patients and always keeps the family informed of the patient's progress. She is just extraordinary individual who bring light and hope into our future and improves the lives of her patients she works with.
