We did our visas through Ahmed Abdelrasoul Farahat from One Visa World and everything went smoothly until it came to booking our flights to Colombia. Ahmed told us he normally doesn’t handle flights but had a “friend” who could assist. From this point on, he started contacting us via his personal number and not through his official work number. 🚨 Mistake #1 – Wrong flight dates: Our flights were booked on the wrong dates. Ahmed admitted this was their mistake, but we were told that changing the flights would cost R20,000. He requested that we pay R10,000, despite it being entirely their error. With our travel dates approaching, we had no choice but to pay to avoid further stress. 🚨 Mistake #2 – No luggage booked: We were flying JHB → Dubai → Brazil with Emirates and Brazil → Colombia with Avianca. Emirates went smoothly. However, when we landed in Brazil, we were shocked to discover that NO luggage was booked for our Avianca flights (both to and from Colombia). We were traveling for an event with two bags each, and had to pay an additional R24,000 just for luggage — completely unbudgeted and unnecessary. Now, neither Ahmed nor Transworld Travel is taking responsibility. They are ignoring our calls and messages regarding a refund for the R24,000 we had to pay due to their negligence. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. We will not let this go quietly. Absolutely shocking service received from your Constantia repairs center in the Westrand! We took our coffee machine in for repairs 7th of June and were never informed of any information regarding repairs that need to be done to our machine. We had to phone in and after querying why no-one provided us with feedback it was said that they have the wrong contact info for us. Which is a lie as all our contact details on the Job Card is correct. It is now the 28th of June and yet again we had to phone to find out what is going on with our machine, just to be advised our machine has been ready for quite some time to collect! When my husband asked your reception lady why she did not do her work to inform us of this she had the audacity to put the phone down in my husband's ear. Completely shocking service! I really regret getting a Delonghi machine, you have completely no customer service! Disgusting to treat your customers like this. Next time our machine needs to be repaired I will rather just dump it and go buy another brand than to go through this again with your useless staff!
<p>I ordered a watch for my husbands birthday for end of March. When I received the MA 382/M Blue Mariner watch the entire watch was full of scratches, not only due to poor packaging but you could clearly see the watch was scratched when the bracelet was fitted to the face of the watch. I sent an email to Matt Arend where I received immediate response. At first I was advised to go to their Rosebank store to get a new watch. I confirmed that I had ordered online in the first place due to not having the time to go to the shops as I have a very demanding work schedule. The owner himself contacted me and promised to send a courier to collect the watch and provide me with a replacement in time for my husbands birthday. They collected the watch from me but then I never received any feedback with regards to the replacement. After following up yet again the owner phoned me and the replacement was received in time for my husbands birthday. My husband used the watch for not even a full day when one of the 'pins' of the bracelet fell out. We tried to put it back in but it fell out immediately. This is where the terrible service comes in! I have been struggeling for almost 2 weeks now to get them to collect the watch and refund my money but no one is assisting us at all. My first email sent regarding this matter I received a reply from a Jake Eddy asking ME to phone THEM to resolve this matter. So we phoned and we were told that another person will contact us with regards to the collection and refund. Not sure why we had to phone them then! Till date NO ONE has contacted us. We tried to contact Matt Arend on several occasions but no response whatsoever. Yet they have the audacity to send me a Newsletter... I will NEVER buy from Matt Arend again. Your watches are of extremely bad quality. If only I read the Hello Peter reviews before buying from Matt Arend I would have never made the purchase to begin with!!!!!</p>
I ordered goods -2weeks ago and have received nothing to date. They only supply an email address on their website which I emailed numerous times without any response whatsoever. I finally came across some numbers on the internet, but no luck as well as the phone just keeps on ringing. I purchased gifts for my daughter for Christmas/her Birthday, now I have to sit with a disappointed child because of this place. I am so disgusted that people like this actually exist as I have never been scammed before as I am always cautious. I'm speechless, wish there was something I could do to this company. I will warn everyone on social media not to by from these people!!!!
