I called in because I forgot my card at home and I don't have the app. I am in desperate need of my account number and they are giving me the run around. I could scream. I don't have time to go to the branch because I am stuck in the office with wrapping up for the end of the year.
I have the same problem every month. I make my payment on time however my services are always disconnected. Yesterday I called and I was promised immediate reactivation however nothing has happened and I called today and rude agent who answered my call refused to transfer me to a manager because I am beyond frustrated with this. I have kids studying for matric finals and without internet they have to travel around for internet which is another expense. Don't use this company when you have people at home during the day because it only focuses on taking your money and never giving a service a government attitude in the private sector.
I was helped by Lance Ngcobo to buy my car and it was the best experience ever. If was to have a brother to accompany you in the journey of buying a car then Lance is the person to go to. I would buy a car everyday just to have such excellent service, he made the tedious process of buying a car so easy I was never overwhelmed. Thank you to VW and most especially Lance.
My parents bought a car in 2023 and we're making payments consecutively without fail. Of course because their business owners there were missed payments. They were contacted by a lady Rihanna who threatened legal action and made them miserable instead of offering an option to freeze payments until they got the money. The car was officially collected by Standard Bank. They then got the money and want to settle the payment to get the car back and it's only been a month however no one at Standard Bank is helping them but giving them the run around. All my parents want is the settlement amount so they can pay it in full and get the car back. I know Standard Bank doesn't care about their black clients however my parents care about their credit score. Please can someone at Standard Bank help us with this matter urgently as we want the car back and make the full payment.
On Saturday the 22nd of March 2025 I requested a ride from my house to my friends house. The amount of R65 was deducted from my account obviously before a driver is even found. I then left and had a good and safe ride with the driver no complaints. The driver was even kind enough to drive me into the complex and I then tipped him R20 for his efforts. Literally for days later Uber deducts the amount of R64 from my account claiming I requested a ride on the 22nd of March at 15:18pm and their agent Fatima is telling me that I owe Uber, how? I've even sent proof from my bank. I know Uber has gone down the drain but having to lift yourselves up by making mini deductions like this... It doesn't make sense.
Where do I start... My parents bought their house via Standard Bank over 30 years ago and paid it off without any defaults. The bank didn't give them their Title Deed and instead kept changing them on keeping the Title Deed with them. Then we caught the bank until we got it. Again my parents during that time and other times they bought cars via Standard Bank and managed to pay them off without any issues or defaults. Meaning they have a good record with the ****** bank. Recently my parents bought a car because they no longer had a car. They paid their installments regularly for 18 months or more until they hit a bad financial path. They explained to he bak ad paid what they could when they could. On Thursday the 27th of February 2025 my parents received a call that they were coming to repossess the car and they then rushed to ensure that money is available before the end of the month of March 2025 to settle the arrears and the loan, meaning they'll be selling one of their inherited family properties. This is a guaranteed because the agreement is already in place. Guess why the lady at the bank told them to keep their offer because their coming to collect the car. I know banks are ****** and don't want to be associated with black people however we're the majority in the country and like it or not our business is what they will get... Why doesn't the back give my parents an additional thirty days and they will receive their money including the arrears or they don't want their money because we know should the car go to auction the bank will get their money and my parents will be left with paying the interest and these two people are pensioners... I know banks ***** us over daily but sure they are not in the business of inconveniencing the elderly. Explain hat to me...
On the 16th of July 2024 this company claims that City Power contracts damaged the Fibre cables while installing electrical cables. They then sent thecnicians so they say to investigate what could be the problem the following day which was the 17th. They then informed all customers that they are repairing the damage which has been lengthy. Literally in the five weeks of July we don't have services from them for the three weeks. All they did was send nonsensical texts promising updates and further postponing. They they then sent a final text that the services would be up and running by the 2nd of August 2024 and demanded we pay for the services or the line would be deactivated, how ironic. We then went ahead a paid for the air that we see because we still don't have any services from them, threats were made to cancel the service and they didn't even try to retain our consumership instead they called to push forward the cancellation after having paid the service. Blatant *******. It's the 3rd and they say further breaks have been found and they will have to push back the restoration of the services. They won't even give us a discount for this incompetency. I'm utterly disgusted and I'm not shocked majority of my neighbors have jumped ship.
I know South African banks are ******s but I never thought to this extent. The COVID pandemic affected everyone however we managed to survive being sick and now we have to fight off the bank. My husband and I have a home loan with Nedbank, we are entrepreneurs. We didn't get any work but through penny pinching and some restructuring we managed to pay our bond monthly through our savings. Now that our savings are depleted we haven't managed to pay for five months and have defaulted. We spoke to the bank and explained our situation to them and thought they'd give us a chance instead in August mid August my husband returns from work and finds a court order at the gate. We called the bank and asked for leniency and instead they tell us we need to pay all our arrears in full by the 15th of September. We might have work coming in however we will only have that money after two months. We asked the bank to restructure our home loan however they wouldn't have it but a white friend of mine gave me this idea because they have done it for them. Now we are stuck trying to figure out where to take our kids and what to do because the bank is adamant that they want their money. We have work that has recently come in however we're still working to get the money because obviously invoices haven't yet been paid, I want to understand why is it that this is happening when we have an open communication line with the bank. We made a payment to the bank in July however the bank doesn't care, we want to pay the band, we want to keep our home but we can't work under duress with the tension in our home because the bank is declining to restructure our loan. We are at out wits end and we need help, we don't have money for lawyers, we don't have options to borrow from banks and we can't go to loan sharks. Our parents are taking care of our kids school fees because they understand our situation however why would Nedbank do this. We just asking to restructure our loan for five months to eliminate some of the stress and push to get the money by November or December but definitely not September the 15th. Does it please Nedbank to see people homeless and in debt? We truly don't want to loose our home...
My father booked a bus to travel from Johannesburg to King Williams Town. The bus was supposed to depart Johannesburg Park station at 18:45pm but the bus was late and no one communicated with us that there would be delays. The bus eventually arrived and departed from Johannesburg park station at 20:00pm. The bus took travel after no communication or apology and then after a lengthy trip the bus got stuck at Aliwal North and after no further communication they as passengers were taken from that stationary bus and put into an Eldo Coach and dropped off at an Engen garage in Queenstown and given no word or further communication.. Without any apology they were left there and nothing further was communicated. Okay I get it Greyhound is trying to come up from a dead streak but this is beyond disgusting behavior. There old people stuck in the middle of no where as we speak and I don't what to do because this is my father. I need to know what's the plan moving forward because there are over 20 people stuck in the middle of their trip when were supposedly heading to King Williams Town. I believe everyone that was in that bus deserves a full refund for this stupid mishap. Greyhound should have stayed closed and shutdown forever. If anything were to happen to my dad Greyhound will pay immensely.
Tried to do online banking and failed. Tried to do cellphone banking and failed. Went to the bank and their offline. What happened to common courtesy. Notifying customers that the devices are offline. Capitec was supposed to be the bank to take over all banks but this is a joke. I have on call staff that needs to get paid, how will I transact when there's this nonsense. ****ed as hell.
