Once again SARS find ways to hold onto the public's money!!! I have held the same bank account for the past 32 years but now that SARS owe me a refund, despite having received refunds previously into the same account, they are holding back my refund till I verify my account.
What used to be a lovely affordable family restaurant has become ridiculously expensive and over priced. Greed by the owner is reflected in their pricing and they seem to be taking advantage of people visiting Cape Town with exorbitant prices. They seem to have forgotten that in winter, it is the locals who support them. I for one, and my friends who accompanied me, will no longer support this venu. Order a Pita Bread and it will cost you R 78, that is what the Hawaiin pizza cost last year. Order extra garlic and chilli and they will rip you too to the tune of R 30 each for what equated to a tables****. 500ml beer, look at R45 to R50. Bill for lunch (pizza) for four adults and 2 kids, R 1579 excl tips. Shocking!!!
Monday Ram arrives unannounced and calls me saying they have a delivery. I tell the driver I don't sit at home all day waiting for deliveries. He agrees on a time, 15:00 Tuesday to deliver. I make sure I am home and he doesn't pitch. I email Ram to complain Ref: ram.helpdesk #450316 and to date, I am still waiting for them to get back to me. Shocking service!!!!
****WARNING**** Please read and share!!! There is a company operating in Cape Town who deserve a special mention. Not because they are good, but because they don't deserve to be in business. Sorry, this is long and protracted but I need to share this so that other unsuspecting people don't get ripped of by this company and conartist! The company in question is #Bugs #and #Sparks!!! There are many words I can use to describe them and they all begin with the letter D: Dishonest, Disspicable, Deceitful, Disingenuous, Delusional ... This company has a very special and calculated MO. As you all know, when you sell your house you need a CoC and #Bugs #and #Sparks pride themselves in doing beetle, electric and gas. They offer a special price if you use them to do all, but DONT BE FOOLED!!!Everything is what is seems. What you won't know beforehand, is that once you have paid for your CoC, they will come out and find a myriad of things wrong with your house, which they then share (their bogus report) with the buyer and the transferring attorny in the hope of forcing your hand. They then escalate the prices of repair by as much as 1000% and tell you that you can sort out some of the non-technical items yourself but to a maximum value of 30% of their quote. If you choose to have another company carry out the repair, they will charge or a new CoC. The problem is that at this point you then have already paid for the CoC and parted with your money, so most people would just pay because, they don't know no better. Unfortunately for #Bugs #and #Sparks, prior to them coming to do my CoC I had another company come and do it my CoC. They were supposed to send me a quote for repairs, but as they didn't and I hadn't yet paid them, I contacted #Bugs #and #Sparks. Unbeknown to them the same day they came to conduct the CoC, the quote from the other company arrived by emails. I then received the quote from #Bugs #and #Sparks 3 days later and it is more that 1000%, yes you read correctly, 1000% more expensive. Immedialty I am suspicious so I contact a third party for an opinion. I explain the problem and the details of the two quotes but dont mention any names. Now here is the scary part; I am immedialty asked; does the one company have the words #Bugs #and #Sparks in its name. I am then told horror story after horror story about how they has stolen people's money with this same MO over a number of years These people don't deserve to be in business because they are dishonest!!! If you have used them, please comment whether positive or negative, because I want the truth to be out there for everybody to know. Thanks for sharing.
Alarm bells need to ring when banks start offering cell phone contracts. Heads up for anybody thinking of using FNB Connnect. Think again as there sevice is, for lack of a better word, ****!!! I could tolerate the bad coverage and sometimes no signal but the final strawer was when I called today to enable my international roaming. I was told; sorry, roaming isn't available on your package. ***! What kind om Mickey Mouse providers are you? Oh yes thats right, you are not a propper cellular provider but a ban**** My mistake. Your service is absolutely shocking. SAP posted documents to me on 25 June, it is now the 17 July and I have still not received. the mail. Have you reverted to delivering by ox wagon? When going to inquire at Durbanville Post Office, I was told they cannot help me and I would just need to wait. The South African Post Office is useless and should be closed down!!!!
Bellville Home Affairs Staff are an absolute disgrace. Rude, obnoxious and don't understand the first thing about customer service and serving the public. The last time I looked they were public servants and by definition, they should serve the public. I have just come back from the Bellville office, upon arriving I was told the system was offline and they don't know when it will be back on. I asked if they couldn't check whether it would be temporary or for the day. I was told NO!!! So I asked, No what? Was told No, they don't know and cannot check. So I tried calling the Bellville office. The phone rings 10 or so times and then goes dead, so I call again. The same thing over and over, so eventually after 20 attempts I gave up and called the Cape Town Office. I ask them if the system is offline and they say; No, it was but is back on. So I return to the Bellville office and ask the same rude F*$# H*% if the system is back on. He answers and says, Go get in the line!! 10 min later he comes out and says the system is offline and they would be doing any applications for the day, this at 14:00 in the afternoon. With his attitude, I have to wonder if he just doesn't feel like working for the rest of the day. No wonder this country is going to the dogs!!!!!
Never trust Cell-C when you call to cancel a contract as they are a lying bunch of thieves! Called the on 31st Jan to cancel my data contract and was told that I could not cancel for Feb as it only has 28 days and the contract will only be canceled in March but now I get billed yet again at the end of March. Not sure how Feb is no longer considered a Calender month? So now I am wondering if I take a contract out on the 31 of Jan do I get Feb for free as it is not a calendar month. So Cell-C, well done as you have lost me as a client for life. Ref ********** 639
Earlier this year I lost my job and had to find a cheaper medical aid so approached Curemed for assistance and advice as they claim to deal with all medical aids. I agreed to sign up with Fedhealth but after a few months of being on Fedhealth and having time to review it, I decided this is not the right choice for me. I have for the past month being trying to get the consultant who sold me Fedhelth to provide me with alternatives, however, they now want to charge me for the advice. So much for them being independent. Be warned, they are not what they profess to me and they are not independent!!!
TNT have to be the most incompetent courier service in the world. I used to hold an account with them but closed it previously due to their incompetent. I decided to give the another try only to be let down as per usual. I requested a quote online and then scheduled a collection as per their website. I speak to my supplier to arrange a good collection time and date and scheduled collection was Wednesday 8th, so what do they do, they go and change the collection to Friday to my supplier and collect on Friday 3rd and 10 but then don’t arrive on time and cause much inconvenience to my supplier. It however doesn’t stop here. After me scheduling the collection and paying the courier fee I specifically ask Sharon Cindi that they send me the invoice for the customs vat and duty as I know if this is not paid it will delay delivery. This morning I send an email to all and sundry after seeing that the package arrived in SA yesterday and I have still not received an invoice. I then call and I am told it will get sorted out. I them email 2 hours later only to find out my account is on a stop. A COD account is on stop, ***!!!! You are the most incompetent company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Never again!!!
