I am writing out of deep distress regarding my mother’s inability to access her social grant because the bank is holding her funds pending biometric verification. My mother is elderly and suffered a stroke. As a result, her fingerprints are no longer detectable, and her facial structure has changed, making facial recognition and selfie verification impossible. She went to the verification kiosk, but staff were unable to assist because the system could not read her fingerprints. There appears to be no alternative verification process for vulnerable clients like her. This is a social grant – money intended for survival. Because her account is frozen: She cannot buy adult nappies. She cannot pay her caregiver. Her wheelchair is broken and she cannot physically return to the kiosk. The stress of this situation has triggered seizures and severely impacted her health. Biometric systems may improve security, but banking cannot be one-size-fits-all. There must be alternative verification options for elderly or medically compromised clients. We urgently request: Immediate release of her social grant funds. An alternative, human-assisted verification process (branch verification, affidavit, home visit, medical documentation, or power of attorney option). A review of policies affecting elderly and disabled grant recipients. This situation is not just administrative inconvenience — it is affecting a sick, elderly woman’s ability to survive. We are asking for urgent compassion and intervention. I was helped by an agent called Mbali and said feedback would come on the 11th and nothing came.
NewCo has such bad service ever. My WiFi is down, had an account with them, so I had renovations done in the house and had to move out and did not pay for Fibre. Once all was done I tried to reconnect it and was informed to go through sales and start over as my account was terminated. I have done that, paid the fee they invoiced me, but since 30 July to date nothing has happened. I call and they promise to call me back and they don't. I call every single day mara nothing happens. It is the 20th of August. Nothing happened. I don't know if I should get a refund and try another service provider. I am so dissapointed. One dtime I call and got such a rude consultant.
I have planned to write a review weekly and have asked my friends to share this far and wide. Momentum has the worst service ever. They don't communicate, you have to chance them. I currently have a provident fund withdrawal claim that has been going on since January. I have to keep following up. They never keep me updated. I had planned to leave some money with the company to invest but given the service I want nothing to do with them.
I ordered 2 types of screen protectors with 2 each. The problem is I only received one screen protector and I paid for delivery and all. In this economy this is not acceptable. I am so disappointed with This insurer's customer service. They are so bad. You cancel policies but they still run debit orders. Also their premium increases are insane. They will give you a price and 6 months later you are paying a lot of money. I want to change my insurer. Basically once you are a client they don't care about you. They do not listen.

They keep debiting my account, I reversed the debit orders and now it has affected my credit score. I did everything i was requested to do: police station avidavid, ID copy, but I have not been contacted to be given full details of my case. I have to contact them and when I do they send me from post to pillar. This has impacted my life so much because now I lost money and my credit score is affected. I have reported this matter, but got no assistance, this is my last hope after this I guess I will be taking the legal route
